don't you find that no matter what, how bad something might be (and there is always worse or someone worse off) that when we bring it to Jesus...to God...somehow, some way, His Spirit does something in us to turn even the bitter sweet?

I don't know how He does it!
===================================================

a very good recognizing of one of Jesus' Ways...

I think guarding our hearts is a part of it. Don't let the wisdom of the world take over, don't allow bitterness to take root, turn it all over to Him (not always easy and if someone says it is, then they are still in the shallow end of the pool)

just thinking out loud cause of what you posted
==================================================================
oh yes, when He calls us out.
He awakens us at different times as we age, and begins teaching us what He expects of us as a
member of His Holy Family, another words, what we need to be doing =what-how-when-where-
for Him and others???...
teaching us the humility we have to have in order to completely submit to Him and Him alone...
teaching us how to put off the old-man, and only desire to be who He expects us to be, as He made us,
and to live His Way...not easy, by any means, only achievable through Holy Intervention coupled with
our Faith that He has blessed us with....

Oh, he also called me a plastic Christian and a liar. So, Brother Bluto wasn't the only one who got it from him.
===============================================

even so, SG,

we ALL know a lot of plastic-Christians and a lot of liars'...who claim/believe otherwise,
about themselves..

How is that comment beneficial?

It seems supportive of the false indictment on SG. It's frankly a ridiculous stance you're taking...goodness sake!

It's like "So what, we all know people like you who are plastic Christians and liars, it's no big deal?"

You spend much time supporting, justifying and making excuses for people who behave like the one banned. He got what he deserved, and his comments and hatred directed at many persons on here is not justifiable behavior.

You should rather spend your time calling out that bad behavior instead of calling evil good, and good evil, while taunting those who were the recipients of said behavior.

I read you loud and clear Angela...some of us are not making excuses for his behavior,...we are wondering why others get banned and some seem to get a hall pass....especially on certain threads.....and are just as misguided and use the same words as denadii....but mask their comments and attitudes behind moral superiority, shallow self-righteousness....and Bible verses....

He crossed a line...

there seems to be a certain number who cross the line several times and the "perception" is nothing happens...and to be honest, it also seems to be the ones that get banned, even if they deserve it, are ones that are not reformed Calvinist believers...and the ones that are only "perceived" to get a free pass are....
This is simply untrue! I've been on this forum long time, and watched lots of people get banned. The common theme, is always bad behaviour, rudeness, slander, and inappropriateness. I used to be not Reformed, and I was not banned. I am now Reformed, still not banned.

I would hope the common denominator in me not being banned was not theology, but that I try to address the topic, not name call, not be abrasive or nasty. And, if I am wrong, I admit it and apologize. I have had to do this. I think if everyone was a little bit more humble, perhaps less people would get into fights that result in behaviour which should be banned.

There used to be some very tight rules about various doctrines, but being Reformed was not even on the list, one way or another. Now, we are allowed to discuss things a bit more freely, but I have rarely seen anyone banned lately, just on the basis of doctrine.

So, we need to keep it civil, and I think the mods are very fair about really considering the behaviour of the poster, and whether it justifies banning. As for banning on the grounds of theology, not so much!

If people get banned, usually it's because they deserve it, or they've broken the rules, tried to circumvent a ban, or run their traps too much and their loose lips got 'em banned. For every person who's ever been banned on any chat site, it's usually because they can't keep their big mouths quiet..

Fair enough Angela, you speak truth a lot, so I will consider this, but the evidence is not so strong on other threads...

Well, thank God for the Reformed and the Doctrines of Grace; all of this was a return to Scripture, to the truth. One of these being the perseverance of the saints, that is none of His will lose salvation.

No wonder Gospel means good news, yet many today are trying to turn it into bad news and wish with all their might someone would lose their salvation why they strive to maintain theirs and hope they don't stop believing.

What a shame, they could at any instance stop believing. Could happen tonight, in the middle of the night, in the morning. Who knows? They better not, their salvation is dependent upon them!

Not for nothing, but if folks are interested in following the Rules of the Forum..........discussing the "banning" of a member is against the Rules.........is it not?

just saying

We aren't to question WHY a person got banned. Even if we DO know why they got banned, we aren't to go to a mod and be like "why didn't you give them another chance".. Because they probably WERE given many chances via warnings, and didn't listen..
