Several Scriptures say it is forgivable, and is forgiven if you tell God you are sorry and make up your mind that you do not want to do it anymore. People differ in which Scripture is the best to prove this; I like I John 1:9. Note is written to Christians.

Mandy,

Even if our best deeds were compared t o God's righteous standards they would be seen as sin. Our only hope is in Christ's substtutionary atonement which has exchanged His righteousness for our sinfulness.

ALL Things Are forgivable, but blasphemy of the Holy Spirit..... When you get saved it does not mean your life change over night, God will deal with your heart.... He will by the Blood of Jesus and through the power of His Holy Spirit deliver you from your worse enemy.... the IN-A-ME. When you came to God you entered a covenant with Him.... these are the promises God made through this Covenant..... If you confess you sins to him, he is faithful and just to FORGIVE YOU, and TO CLEANSE YOU OF ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. 1 John 1:9..... He promised that where there is sin the Grace of God abound the more..... what God is saying here is that He knew when you came to Him through Christ Jesus,,,, you came with a wretched heart, and all the iniquity that was in your heart he forgave that day...... although you still had them.... He said it will NOT BE of your own strength and effort that you be delivered from them.... but by His loving Grace He will make you hate and loath ( deep seeded hatred) all sin that you committed in the past.... although you still commit them... he will one by one remove them from your heart.... but by his why---not your's. The Holy Spirit that he has given you will be your helper, he will convict you of your sins, drive you to repent, and He will not let you have peace for a little while... ( this is the first part of the chastening of God, and if that do not do it.... he will make you feel worse and worse every time you commit that sin.....till you start to not only hate the sin, but hate yourself for doing it..

Ezekiel 36..
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel....................................................This is also in new testament... cant think of where right now, but I knw it is in the Book of Romans............

Read John chpt. 15 .... Jesus is telling us we can bare no fruit without Him.... so trust in the promises of God... know that by His Grace.... he will lead us into salvation.....salvation is of the Lord and not from us............... it is good that you want to know this and it is good you feel the way you do..... for because of that you know THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD IS YOUR GOD AND HE IS WORKING IN YOU TO MAKE YOU WHOLE AND SAVE YOU FROM THE POWER OF SIN AND THE DESTRUCTION IT BRINGS. may the Lord continue to lead you to strive for righteousness and holiness...... Jesus' Blood is what will cleanse you and MAKE YOU WHITE AS SNOW..... not make your sin white as snow, but you..... keep praying and believing... hold on to God's unchanging hands...... trust no man to teach you unless you know he has the Spirit of God in him and that is who is teaching you through them... the Lord will direct your path.................. A NEW HEART WILL HE GIVE YOU, AND HE WILL RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT WITHIN YOU........ A HEART OF FLESH (SOFTER YOU) REMOVING THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOU ( THE WICKED AND STUBBORN HEART)......repentance is good, for it is the Lord God who drive us to repent.........

What I find is that God is a forgiving God whose desire is for us to be cleansed from sin, but we have responsibilities in this, too. We are to repent, and that means turning from our sin. We are to give God credit as our God through praise for God says blaspheming is unforgiveable. And we are to grant other people forgiveness so we can also receive it.

We, they say, are new covenant people, and only the last covenant counts. After we receive Christ, then we have no more responsibility, as Christ automatically takes away our sin. The Holy Spirit, they say, not only leads us, comforts us, and gives us understanding but protects us. I can see how it is possible to pick out individual scripture and read them without the understanding that all scripture on a subject gives so it leads to this way of thinking. Even Satan quotes scripture. But I don’t think a complete understanding of all scripture does. Scripture points to individuals having responsibilities as they receive the saving grace of our Savior.

I am saved yet i sinned is this forgiveable?
YES!
1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Titus 2:13-14 - "looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus; 14who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds."
Acts 13:39 - "and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses."

A frequent question is “what happens if I sin, and then I die before I have an opportunity to confess that sin to God?” Another common question is “what happens if I commit a sin, but then forget about it and never remember to confess it to God?” Both of these questions rest on a faulty assumption. Salvation is not a matter of believers trying to confess and repent from every sin they commit before they die. Salvation is not based on whether a Christian has confessed and repented of every sin. Yes, we should confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned. However, we do not always need to be asking God for forgiveness. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, all of our sins are forgiven. That includes past, present, and future, big or small. Believers do not have to keep asking for forgiveness or repenting in order to have their sins forgiven. Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, and when they are forgiven, they are all forgiven (Colossians 1:14;Acts 10:43).

What we are to do is confess our sins: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). What this verse tells us to do is “confess” our sins to God. The word “confess” means “to agree with.” When we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with God that we were wrong, that we have sinned. God forgives us, through confession, on an ongoing basis because of the fact that He is “faithful and just.” How is God “faithful and just”? He is faithful by forgiving sins, which He has promised to do for all those who receive Christ as Savior. He is just by applying Christ’s payment for our sins, recognizing that the sins have indeed been atoned for.

At the same time,1 John 1:9does indicate that somehow forgiveness is dependent on our confessing our sins to God. How does this work if all of our sins are forgiven the moment we receive Christ as Savior? It seems that what the apostle John is describing here is “relational” forgiveness. All of our sins are forgiven “positionally” the moment we receive Christ as Savior. This positional forgiveness guarantees our salvation and promise of an eternal home in heaven. When we stand before God after death, God will not deny us entrance into heaven because of our sins. That is positional forgiveness. The concept of relational forgiveness is based on the fact that when we sin, we offend God and grieve His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). While God has ultimately forgiven us of the sins we commit, they still result in a blocking or hindrance in our relationship with God. A young boy who sins against his father is not cast out of the family. A godly father will forgive his children unconditionally. At the same time, a good relationship between father and son cannot be achieved until the relationship is restored. This can only occur when a child confesses his mistakes to his father and apologizes. That is why we confess our sins to God—not to maintain our salvation, but to bring ourselves back into close fellowship with the God who loves us and has already forgiven us.

1. how do you know you are saved?

2. what was the sin?

3. if you have a biblical answer for number 1 why don't you ask God if it is forgivable. better yet why don't you repent and ask God to forgive you?

1 John 1:9 teaches "If we confess" He will forgive, AND "Cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Meaning; as we sin we confess and He is faithful to start the santification process. He begins to wash our old nature, nd give us a new nature to want to please Him with all that we do. We fail, and will continue to fail, yet; As the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin, Jesus begins to remove the problem we have. As we grow in Christ Jesus, we are being conformed into His image. At the end "we shall be like Him, when we see Him face to face. Praise God.

I am saved yet i sinned is this forgiveable?
You are not saved if you are sinning willfully against God, it depends what you mean by sinning? Do you mean fornication? Drunkeness? Porn watching? etc... You must truly repentof your sins, not make excuses why you can sin and still be saved. any willful sin against God is forgivable, but why tempt God????? but you cannot call yourself a true saint if you are still struggling with willful sins of the flesh, see Galations Ch 5-19-21 for a partial list.

You reap what you sow!

Have you escaped?
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
How does one become a partaker in the divine nature of God? Does it come from some magical transfer? Or is it something much more that requires the broken repentant heart to do.
We know that the exceedingly great and precious promises of God are not to be taken lightly, as they encompass the whole existence of the true convert, who has come into the kingdom through real repentance towards God, followed by a real obedient faith towards Jesus Christ. Acts 20-21.
Now all this comes together when you understand what it means when Peter said, “Having Escaped” which means it already happened, it’s not an ongoing dilemma, that occurs somewhere down the road when God decides to equip the struggling sinner with some mysterious power to escape.
Either you have escaped the corruption that is in the world through its lust, or you are still in bondage, unable to be partakers of His divine nature, and dead to His great promises that come only to the obedient and righteous heart.
For those who profess Christ, and claim they are still addicted to their flesh, such as fornication, drunkenness, drug abuse, immorality, outbursts of anger, and adultery, etc.they are not true saints of God as they think they are.
But many have come into the fictitious kingdom that gladly accepted them still in bondage to sin and worldliness, because some charismatic Bible pundit told them they were born depraved, and now Jesus in their remedy. They do nothing, especially having to escape the corrupt world, and the lust of it as commanded, thus they remain carnal sold under sin, and a prisoner of their very own conceived notions that sears their conscience and hardens their heart as they sin with impunity against God, becoming numb to any and all conviction, leaving them in a very dangerous state leading to condemnation unless they wake up and repent on the scale of Nineveh!
Rom 6:21 What fruit did you have then in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
It’s simple good fruit (obedience, holiness, purity, humility) leads to eternal life IF you continue in these God given virtues, but bad fruit (willful sin, rebellion, complacency, addictions) leads to death!
Have you escaped? Or are you still in bondage to your flesh, producing bad fruit unto death!

I hope this will clarify what repentance is, and why most who profess Christ, are dead to God and holiness, and could care less to live a pure life, before God who has given His creation all power over sin, temptation and the devil!
But the repentance must be real and from the heart, otherwise as I learned the hard way, you are just giving God lip service, and this is a very dangerious place to be in!

Deeds Worthy of Repentance

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance! Mt3:8 4:17, Lk3:8,

What are Deeds Worthy of Repentance? Biblical defined they are:
‘Something that carries weight of value, to merit something worthy of gaining’
Basically it’s what PROVES you have Repented of your sins: that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.Acts26:20

But in the Repeat after me world DEEDS Worthy of Repentance are unheard of, replaced by apologies and vain words without purpose. Basically they all agree that Ceasing from sin and doing what is Right is not part of Repentance or Salvation. In their minds ‘not of works’ means man has NO part whatsoever in the Redemption process. Repentance then is ‘Changing’ ones mind but NOT turning from sin. In fact some Pundits actually say there is no Scripture in the entire bible that says you Must Turn from sin to be saved! They see Romans 4:6-8 as David declaring that a man is Justified ‘in his sins’, apart from ANY Deeds he may or may not have done.

Here’s a Summary of their twisted Premise:
Man is Born a depraved Sinner and can Never Stop sinning, but he can CHANGE his mind
If you could Stop or Turn from his sins he wouldn’t need Jesus & would be Saving himself
So Deeds of ANY Sort are out of the question, since Works=Merit & Salvation is a free gift not of works.

Therefore Doing what is Right or Stopping any particular sin is NOT part of Repentance, but is the RESULT of Salvation. Follow this backward logic …. First you ‘Get Saved’ (by trusting in Jesus or faith alone) Then you are able to Repent; (Change your mind about sin, but NEVER Stop doing it!) God has to GRANT you Not only the Repentance, but also the ABILITY to Do what is Right (which means merely changing your mind about Him) Thus, according to their version of Salvation Synergy (working together with God) is not involved, which is a BOLD FACED DENIAL of Scripture:
We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2Cor6:1
Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? James2:22
Pundits of Reformed Doctrine constantly accuse the early Church fathers of gross error concerning the issue of Repentance. Claiming they preached a ‘Works’ based Salvation ignorant of God’s Grace. YET they COMPLETELY ignore what the Scriptures teach about Crucifying the Flesh with it’s Passions and Desires … Because that REQUIRES Effort on man’s part and Negates their fallacy of Salvation apart from works. The ONLY way Bible Scriptures demanding Obedience, Striving, to go and sin no more or a departure from iniquity can make any sense to them is by man being Justified in his sins and then Trusting that Christ Provided His Righteousness & Obedience as a Substitute.
From that point man may or may not live a holy separated life, doing what is Right by faith, Depending on WHICH Bible Pundit you’re listening to. However they ALL AGREE that DEEDS (good or bad) have no bearing on the Outcome of Salvation. (since man is saved by ‘faith alone’) But some will insist more on producing good fruit in accordance with Salvation while many others will totally discard any necessity of them. All of this (the Doctrines & the rhetoric) is a result of Stripping man of his God given ABILITY to make a Right Choice within himself, turn from sin and seek God in Repentance as instructed in the Bible.

Although the Bible SOUNDS as though God is asking man to Do the impossible, it is Really saying that GOD will DO it for him! That’s why everything in the Bible to the professed Christians supposedly saved under this Mess appears divergent to their beliefs and they go into a state of denial when confronted by the truth; because to them doing anything is saving themselves, even if its merely OBEYING God.
In Essence God Must:
Grant man Repentance; meaning He must give them the Ability to make a Right Choice, change their minds and turn to Him. But under this scheme most people still believe that man retains his own free will to choose, however he CANNOT choose to Stop sinning and Do what is Right unto God, because that would be ‘works’ thereby canceling out the free gift.
Rationally this all sounds like a minor stumbling block in the Path to true Salvation; Perhaps just a mere misunderstanding of terms or even Semitics. HOWEVER this goes MUCH Deeper than an in house argument over Doctrines. It overthrows the Very Foundation of the Gospel Message! Man’s ABILITY to TURN from Sin (get clear of wrong doings, cease to do evil learn to do good) it the VERY CORE of Repentance unto life! (Acts11:18) Without it NO ONE can find Redemption in Christ.
God ‘Grants’ Repentance, Acts11:18, 2Tim2:25, This DOES NOT imply that God is somehow giving man ability to do something where he was lacking it before. It SIMPLY Means:
‘To give to one asking, let them have as a gift, extend them an invitation’
To ‘Peradventure’ in the KJV version of 2Tim2:25 can be rightly translated ‘PERHAPS’
Since it’s the Holy Spirit that Convicts man of Sin, Righteousness and Judgment to come, Perhaps man on hearing the Word will Choose to turn from his sin and God will extend him the free invitation to repent.
What these heaps of Bible Pundits have done by twisting Scripture to Persuade people they lack the Ability to turn from their sin is EXACTLY Stated by Christ in Mat15:16: ‘Your Doctrines have made the Word of God of NO EFFECT!’ (rendered it void, deprived it of force & authority!) Essentially they have Shut up the Kingdom of against men! (Mt23:13) Denying it to themselves and others SIMPLY because they REFUSE to STOP Sinning and Turn to God!
One Pundit outrageously States that there is NOT a single Scripture in the entire Bible that says you Must Repent from Sin to be Saved! Others Claim that Repentance is NOT a Mandate for Salvation. Certainly their Condemnation is not far-off. If a Person Repents, WHAT is he REPENTING FROM??? ‘unbelief’
The Lord said Preach ‘Repentance for Remission’ Lk24:47. Remission of what? If God Winked in times
Past but now commands all men everywhere to Repent’ Acts17:30, What did He Wink at? If Repentance
is merely a CHANGE of mind, as the Pundits claim, what is CONVERSION? Acts3:19, Mat13:15, Mk4:12.
The Very spirit of Repentance is TURNING from SIN not merely changing the mind. If man really does
Lack the Ability to Stop sinning WHY does God Constantly imply that he can? He told Cain: ‘Sin lies at
the door, its desire is for you, but YOU should RULE over it’ Gen4:7. He told the People to ‘Go and Sin
no more!’ John5:14, 8:11. He said over and over again:

‘By mercy and truth iniquity is Purged, and by the fear of the Lord men depart evil!’ Prov16:6
‘Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and Depart from evil’ Prov3:7
‘Behold the fear of the Lord is wisdom and to depart evil is understanding’ Job28:28

The Promise of God’s Mercy has ALWAYS been contingent on Turing from Sin:
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, Says the LORD, Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isa1:16-20
Produce DEEDS Worthy of repentance and getting clear of your wrong doing is NOT Saving yourself!
Ability to do so is part of the free GIFT He promised man in His Word that would lead us to godliness.
The Reason Professing Christians can ‘never stop sinning’ is NOT because they lack any Ability to do so.
It’s because they have NEVER Crucified their flesh with its Passions and Desires in Repentance! They
came into the Kingdom still ‘Carnal’ Sold under Sin and have no understanding or Discernment WHY
they continue to fall prey in repeated failure to the Lust of the flesh. The Preaches keep telling them God
will Clean them up and change their desires, so don’t worry about it, Salvation is assured. But the Wages
of sin is still Death and as they continue to Walk in Darkness their situation grows worse and worse.
Families are torn apart, relationships devastated, health and well being consumed.

My question is WHY do people who believe these lies that God Saves them in sin and is suppose to clean
them up later continue to Wine and Cry about the Mess sin has made out of their lives? It’s ALL your
OWN DOING, you brought the misery on yourself by choosing sin to begin with. There is Really only
ONE answer to your dilemma … STOP Doing it!!! God hasn’t magically Changed your inner Desires
from Evil to Good so far, HOW long are you going to Wait? Until you’ve Destroyed more lives,
brought more shame on yourself and others, been given over to complete reprobation? Haven’t you
been coddled enough with the saved in sin non-sense? Has it given you any Peace or healed the misery
inside your heart? DO YOU LOVE what SIN has DONE to your life? Have you any desire to ESCAPE its
Corrupting influence and be truly Clean within? There’s no EASY Way out of this Mess!

You have to DIE with Christ to all the Lust, filth and uncleanness, PUT to death your body of sin once
and for all in bitter Repentance. SEEK Him with every ounce of Strength you have in a DETERMINDED
effort to Break free from your bondage to sin. Dispel all the Confusion in your mind about what people
have told you about God. GIVE HIM a chance to respond with His Healing Mercy when you Come
Clean in a Self-Cleansing Humility of Genuine godly sorrow He will not despise.

YOU have to make the first move. He is Waiting for YOU with an Out Stretched arm to employ your God
given ABILITY to OBEY HIM! The longer you Wait, wallowing in your misery, mocking Him with
excuses, THINKING you have His approval, the further you will Sink into the Depths of your mind
numbed delusion. It’s NOT GOD’S fault you remain in bondage to sin, YOU alone are to BLAME!

Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot
hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face
from you, Isa59:1-2

TURN Away from the lying Preachers who have robbed you of ABILITY and TRUST What God has said.

Actually Kenisyes it was written from John on the Island of Patmos to a Christian Pastor taht had written John to straighten out heresy that had been occuring in their place of meeting together. The group was gnositcs made of gnostics and christians.
This is why 1John starts out the way it does confirming that Jesus actually was here in the fleshfor they ate with him, they drank with him they touched him.
Now these gnostice did not believe that Jesus came in the flesh since all flesh is evil and since they claimed belief in Jesus as an apparition they were not born of the flesh so they did not have a sin nature. Thid letter was for them to be straightened out.
Okay let's sat you were one of them and you changed your mind and agreed to this truth, after receiving this truth where does it say anywhere that we are to continue asking for this and better yet where is there anywhere in the new Testament after the death of Christ that any Disciple asked for any further forgiveness it is not there anywhere. Christ died once and for all at the cross and we all are before anyone here was ever born already by God forgiven and this is at the cross
Loving you into the truth the truth that sets one free

How foolish. Of course it does. What matters more? Giving a vague scripture reference based off your own ideas about her problem, or actually talking her through the problem? Its just like when Jesus told the scribes and pharisees that they make the Kingdom of God of none effect by their tradition. People nowadays throw out scripture like its magic. You can take the time to write out common place christian talk but cant make the time to actually TRY to help someone?? Whats more important. The actual well-being of others, or proving to yourself your own hypocrisy?

You had mine as well say that your faith is dead.
---

A word of wisdom my friend. When you take the time to edify others, you'll edify yourself. You can't help people get the plank out of their eye until you get yours out first.

Godbless.

under the new covenant we forgive because we are forgiven and we love because we are loved, old covenant law we could not be forgiven unless we forgave or be loved unless we loved
Really discernment is seperating old covenant from new covenant and rightly dividing truth everything in the new testament before the death of Christ on the cross was under the old covenant Law, the new covenant did not take place until the death and that is where the whole world was forgiven by God through Christ period. And after seeing this the sooner one can move onto new life in Christ and stay there more often than not learning to not sow anything to the flesh at all whether one wants to quit that flesh reaction and or action sowing to flesh only reaps flesh no ands if and buts about it
