I'm really not into reading sci fi -- watch it, but not read it. Because of that, I'm more thinking of Data from Star Trek: Next Generation.
The Foundation Trilogy was really good.

Depleted,

I say this with respect, but what do you think you were doing to Maxwel? You put him down continually claiming you know him when in reality you never took the opportunity to know him and Sirk is right, he is a good guy just as Sirk is a good guy. Just do me a favor and get to know people before you jump to conclusions. For the record I think you are a good person who has been blessed with wisdom and that has helped me with certain situations, but God has also blessed Sirk and Max with knowledge and wisdom. Just because they are younger than you does not mean they cant show you a little something, just open your heart and eyes and you will be surprised into what you learn
I've known Max and Sirk for two years.

Since I have asked (repeatedly) for Sirk to leave me alone, I won't say anything about him, other than we used to be good friends.

But Max? Max is usually either very funny or deep. This time, however, Max turned this from "I disagree with you" without agreeing, disagreeing, or bringing up anything that the OP was about to "Depleted is my lesson plan about whatever I want the lesson to be about; therefore, the lesson is to teach everyone exactly how diluted Depleted is as if she isn't even here."

And truthfully, I never really noticed their ages. (I have a vague idea Sirk's age within a decade.) I honestly can't even guess how old Max is, because I never thought to look. I am noticing this "oooo, let's talk about her like she won't ever notice" attitude.

(As for your age? Until you brought up age, my guess for your age was "about my age." I just looked, and am surprised I'm wrong. lol)

So, question for you. That you think this had anything to do with their age? What's that say about who you've been listening to? (I'm also tired of the gossip brewing about that I've got some deal with age, too. My thing is "act your age," and considering this is a site that doesn't include children, then that should be roughly the same act.)

You are not a robot. Robots don't have emotions and they don't make mistakes because they are programmed to do a specific task perfectly. You are more of vulnerable sheep who constantly needs a shepherd for guidance. A sheep thinks he is in control but God is still the boss.
Maybe that's how we make robots. Ignoring that every animal is designed in a way that has specific programming and responds predictably in controlled environments is just intellectually dishonest. This vessel functions exactly like a machine. The brain is the computer that collects and interprets data but our mind enacts our will, based on that data. We receive information via flesh and spirit (from God). Which information we decide to follow determines our fate.

Sooo, asking for the same thing I asked in my OP, for anyone who believes that if we have no choice in salvation than God made robots. Would you please explain to me why I am a robot?

We do have a choice. We can either set our minds to serve the flesh/robot, or to obey what the spirit dictates and serve God. The animals have the same programming we do of the flesh. They don't sin. Why should we?

If God's perfect will and intent is for all to be saved -- and, God is "completely sovereign" -- and, we have no choice in the matter -- how come everyone ( and I mean everyone ) isn't simply born saved?

I don't believe you are a robot. I don't think God would be happy to be loved by a robot. He gave us a choice to either accept or reject Him because He wants a love that is freely given and not forced. We are just like Him, we want true love that is not forced. You believe you are a robot because God just chose you and saved you against your will? God saw your heart and therefore chose to save you not because you are a robot destined to be saved. In the case of Jonah, he was just full of fear but God saw his heart, so God did not leave him alone and forced him to his destiny. Moses was also full of fear but He was obedient so God also chose him. David was also chosen because of his soft heart. The jews were also chosen because God promised to their ancestors. Are all of them robots?

Different question, but because God's intent was never to save all.

Actually, I don't think I am a robot. However, I also never chose God first. He chose me. And it wasn't a matter of my good heart. It was a matter of his mighty mercy.

It was His mercy but the condition of your heart also matters because a heart that is hardened by pride will not be able to let the Holy Spirit in. Just like any relationship, it's a two way street. Although God can still love us even if we reject Him but it's not a relationship if it's one sided. God reveals himself to all first but only few respond so only few are chosen. Only few are saved.

Okay, I do sincerely apologize. When I posted this, I woke up with my head not screwed on just right please forgive me.

I also do not quite understand your question for me, but I do find it funny that you thought I was your age, but that could be why I get along with people older than me :)

I know. We don't "let him in" until he comes in. :)

Good soil

The world is a massive field awaiting the seed. There is hard and barren patches and some good
open inviting areas. Can the soil choose what it is like or how it will respond.

The seed is planted and some sprouts up to new life and grows strong and firm while other spreads
and fades away.

This is just an analogy, but once the seed is sown it is up to us how we respond.
Some smother it and drown it out, compromise and choose alternatives things to
found ones life on.

I have asked the Lord many things over my life, and repented of many sinful behaviours
and ways of being, and still the walk is the same.

For some it is living for self, and then living for Christ, with a summary prayer which anoints
the situation. For others it is a walk, with many small steps, each one important, but none
definitive in itself.

I feel the danger is when we start to say this expression of faith or reality in Christ is wrong,
by itself if there is not obvious heresy or sin involved. Where there is love and Christ, there
He is working.

So I want to rejoice we are good soil, praising Him and encouraging each other to walk deeper
and further into His grace. Amen.

What of Romans chapter 10?

This has a lot about being saved through calling out to Christ for salvation. 'If thou shalt confess .. and believe in thine heart that Christ hath been raised from the dead, thou shalt be saved'

'For with the mouth.. confession is made unto salvation.. etc'

BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ.. it's all through it.

Not eternal salvation before belief! Or eternal salvation only when you die!
