So that church I talked about turned out to be right about a lot but also turned out to be wrong about some stuff too. I walked into Bible study and they were like "God has a wife!" So I'm re-thinking my choices.

Anyways I do agree with them on the Jewish festivals and stuff. They made A LOT of sense there. So now I'm lost because I don't want to go back to mainstream Christanity but I don't want to go to that church at this point...

John 14: 15, 21, 23, Matthew 28:20 - This is why it is so important that we keep the ten commandments

John 13:15- Jesus kept the sabbath

John 7- Jesus went to the feast

John 6:53-58- as I was explained this talked about how we need passover

What do you think about all this? Because I cannot just pretend like this stuff doesnt exsist...

Jesus said there was much more he wanted to teach his disciples but they could not yet bear such knowledge. But when the holy spirit came upon them he would lead them into all truth
You need to read beyond the Gospels to fully understand the new covenant explained. I am not saying you haven't done that, but all your quotes are from the Gospels
For example, how many Jewish laws were gentiles asked to follow in Acts ch15?

Jesus did all of those things because he was born, and lived, under the old covenant that required those things. We're not under that covenant.

John 6:53-58 refers to the new covenant that was made on Passover.

Now [while] they were eating Jesus took bread and, [after] giving thanks, he broke [it], and giving [it] to the disciples, he said, “Take, eat, this is my body.” And [after] taking the cup and giving thanks he gave [it] to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:26-28

Passover was just a shadow of the sacrifice of Christ. You keep the Passover by believing in him as your sacrifice.

Zero. Acts 15:20, 29 refer to what are now called Noahide laws that Jews required gentiles to observe before they could worship in their synagogues.

My view has always been three of the four laws mentioned were done so to appease Pharisees who had become christians. A compromise if you like to keep unity. Hardly for purists I know, but Thu far I have not found anyone who has disagreed with that view. I emphasise, THUS FAR lol.
Methinks that could be about to change!

"The Jewish Encyclopedia article on Saul of Tarsus states:

According to Acts, Paul began working along the traditional Jewish line of proselytizing in the various synagogues where the proselytes of the gate [e.g., Exodus 20:9] and the Jews met; and only because he failed to win the Jews to his views, encountering strong opposition and persecution from them, did he turn to the Gentile world after he had agreed at a convention with the apostles at Jerusalem to admit the Gentiles into the Church only as proselytes of the gate, that is, after their acceptance of the Noachian laws (Acts 15:1–31)"

Hi JF,

Yes, Jesus did in fact keep that law, meeting all of the Law's righteous requirements, which he did on our behalf and therefore, releasing its hold on all those who believe. What Jesus did not come to do, is to perpetuate the Law. That is, he did not come to meet the righteous requirements of the Law so that all believers after him would be required to continue to be bound by it. He fulfilled it perfectly to set us free from its curse and that because no one has been able to keep the law and when it is broken in one place, the whole thing is broken and once broken, it brings wrath.

As Paul said, as long as a woman's husband is still alive she is committed to the law of marriage. But when her husband dies, then the wife is no longer bound to the law of marriage. In the same way, we too have died to the law and are no longer committed to that husband, for we belong to another, Christ Jesus. Now we are saved by faith apart from the works of the law. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, since he alone met the righteous requirements of the law, freeing us from it and also paying the penalty for our sins and freeing us from the wrath and condemnation as a result of our sins.

Now, concerning the "God has wife" part, get out of there quick! :)

Weren't there seven noahide laws? Gentiles were only asked to follow four.
Anyway, let us again agree to disagree. As you know, I just go by what is written in the bible

There are 7 now, but obviously, Acts 15 shows an incipient form before they were finalized as 7 in the Talmud several centuries later. Keep in mind the quote I provided is from the Jewish Encyclopedia.

the prophets speak of Israel as though the Lord is her husband. also of how she wanted a divorce.
the gospels speak of Christ as the bride of His church -- He is my husband

mormons though talk of God having a literal wife - a goddess - also a father and grandfather and on and on and on for infinity.

Please be careful, JF. You've shown in the past that you're much too willing to believe any 'new' thing.

In their view God used to be a man and their aim is to become a God like He is.
