So your admitting the bible is written by man because there are mistakes in the holy bible . Psalm 18:30 As for God,his way is perfect:The lord's word is flawless; " not filled with mistakes ... and incestual relationships damn man you got some strong blind faith going on there
I never said there are mistakes in the Bible. What I am trying to say, is study the Bible.
People have jobs that serve the sole purpose to spot these things, and they have been spotted these things, many years ago.
It's just unlearned people are coming up out of the wood works Unbelievers* ,and even Christians ; learning these things for the first time. And there is nothing wrong with learning, if you at least come to understanding.
Because if you don't then it can destroy you. It's possible. So I would take time to study, before assuming things, then rushing to conclusions based off a limited grasp of a thing.
Learning that this verse may not read this way in older manuscripts, should not send people flying over a cliff. It's not a big deal , so long as your faith is not based on only one verse in the Bible. Every Christian should be reading the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and that makes up a Christians learning. Not one verse.
But any wise person would spot this away. This happens from time to time, between different MS. That dose not mean there is something wrong with the Bible as a whole. That is simply not true. Anyone that throws away the Bible because there is questions about one verse, is some one that dose not think rationally. And faith should not be made on irrational behavior.
The question is, Dose that take anything away from Christ being Emmanuel ? The answer is no. Anyone that can read John 1, etc . What should be done is to simply learn what the passage is teaching.
Some MS simply have variations like this between each-others. I personally would read it with the omission there. And people can see the way its translated already in their Bibles.
For there are three that bare witness ( as in Vere 6 ) " the Spirit , and the water ," and the blood: and these three agree in one.
Again, my faith is not based on questions about one verse . That is the opposite of blind faith, and more along the lines of educated, informed from the word of God based faith.
My advice is, don't go flying off the cliff . Slow down and study God's words.
