Hello, I am new to this site and while I was trying to figure out how to use it I came across your post. I'll be completely honest with you, I joined this group in hopes that someone could educate me a little more on Christ and answer some questions I have. That being said I will start off by saying I attended a Catholic school and I have recently joined a Catholic Church. I didn't know that there was a big difference between Christians and Catholics, but after reading some of these comments I am eager to know what the difference is.
John 3:
[SUP]1[/SUP] There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: [SUP]2[/SUP] The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. [SUP]3[/SUP] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [SUP]4[/SUP] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [SUP]5[/SUP] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [SUP]6[/SUP] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [SUP]7[/SUP] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
1 Peter 1:
[SUP]23[/SUP] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. [SUP]24[/SUP] For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: [SUP]25[/SUP] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
