SoulSearch,
How does God overcome those things that he hates? Does He render evil for evil or does He overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21)? God is not offended by evil because He created it (Is 45:7). Job said to his foolish wife, who told him to curse God and die, 'shall we not also receive evil at the hand of God' (Job 2:10). Don't the scriptures teach us that all things are of God (2Cor 5:18) and for our sakes (2Cor 4:15) and work together for good (Rom 8:28)? Jeremiah learned in (42:6) that whether it be good or evil, we must obey the voice of God. Joseph tells his brothers that what they meant for evil, God meant it for his good (Gen 50:20). Are not these scriptures also inspired by God and profitable for doctrine and instruction of righteousness (2Tim 3:16)? Are they not part of God's whole counsel?
Great peace have they that love thy law (word), nothing shall offend them (Ps 119:165). Did not God tell Isaiah in (29:24), 'They that err in spirit shall come to understanding and they that murmured shall learn doctrine? Should not all these scriptures assist in counseling us in all of God's ways?
