The Pharisees ask for a sign at Matthew 16:1-4. Also at John 6:30 and one more good one is at Matthew 12:38-42. What's interesting about this last one is the fact that His disciples remembered it from John 2;19-22.

Yes and they didn’t get any sign and Jesus went away
“The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”
Matthew 16:1-4 KJV
but those who just followed after Jesus saw miraculous signs like this nonone was demanding a sign but look what happens
“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.”
Mark 6:34-44 KJV
that’s all I was getting at demanding signs from God is just a lack of faith trusting him anyways and following after him is going to always lead to experiencing wonderful things from the lord
Just making a simple point of we follow Jesus we’ll see things if we doubt and demand signs I’m not too sure
