If the earth is smaller than most stars, how is it possible that they fall to earth?

Anyone who claims that there are no direct flights between Australia and South Africa have no idea what they are talking about.
As a South African ex-pat living in Australia I have flown from both Sydney and Perth direct to Johannesburg.
In both cases the flight path takes one south down into the roaring forties. In the case of the flight from Sydney one goes goes even further south.
One crosses the South African coastline just north of Durban heading north-west toward Johannesburg.

Both the actual routes flown AND the time and distance of the flights make a complete NONSENSE of any flat earth theory...

Not direct as in "direct no stop flight", direct as in straight direct line, although because of this lack of direct line flights in the southern hemisphere many flights are not "non-stop" and have stops that do not make sense on your globe maps.

Me: Why isn't the flight path a straight line? It's to cover up that the continents aren't shaped and positioned this way and the globe earth map is a lie.

Globe: No it's the earth's rotation.

Me: No there is a worldwide conspiracy going on and there is no rotation and your maps are wrong so you have to pretend that rotation causes the flight to take that path.

Globe: A conspiracy of that size and scope is impossible and rotation is evident fact from that pendulum experiment.

Me: NO! It's possible and that pendulum experiment proves nothing, or nothing conclusive

The flight path has nothing to do with rotation of the earth but the fact that it is a sphere...
But then your whole approach is: don't confuse me with facts...

ALL I know is I have made 14 flights...5 going and 6 coming nonstop from Dallas to Sydney and back as well as 2 going and 1 coming from Los Angeles to Sydney and back non stop....and from 40,000 feet with the view from the tail cam in the A-380 Airbus....the planet seems to have a curvature.........

There is evidence in the earth of a polar shift or reversal and sudden weather change. That's why they've found a mammoth frozen in the ice with undigested food in its stomach. That's why scientists are finding green grass where a glacier is receding in S. America. What would the heavens look like if there was a sudden polar shift. I imagine that is would look like the stars were falling. Kind of interesting to think about but I wouldn't want to see it.
