Anyone who claims that there are no direct flights between Australia and South Africa have no idea what they are talking about.
As a South African ex-pat living in Australia I have flown from both Sydney and Perth direct to Johannesburg.
In both cases the flight path takes one south down into the roaring forties. In the case of the flight from Sydney one goes goes even further south.
One crosses the South African coastline just north of Durban heading north-west toward Johannesburg.
Both the actual routes flown AND the time and distance of the flights make a complete NONSENSE of any flat earth theory...
