Personally I feel like if I knew I only had one week left and I changed anything about my relationship with God then obviously I wasn't living right to begain with.
I would however be singing and rejoicing in the Lord knowing my race was coming to an end and I can finally rest in heaven with my Lord and saviour. :)

Not true at all. I examine my life all the time. For why else would I be asking such questions. You simply do not like the real message of the gospel. That it actually requires a surrender on your part to the LORD Jesus Christ whereby He does the work in you. That's not Works Salvationism. It's Christ Working in you because you have been truly saved and set apart and holy for His purposes of doing good and not doing evil.

No surrender to Christ = No salvation.

Doing both good and evil is not going to work.

Jesus said.... you cannot serve two masters.

Stop. And actually think about what He meant by that statement.

Anyways, do not let our disagreement on the gospel hinder you in seeking to live more righteously for GOD.

For whether I asked the question or another had asked you such a question. It is a question that is good to driving you close to GOD.

Granted, I am not saying there is not a time and place for everything like Ecclesiastes talks about, but what is the normal every day way we are living? What are we in complete dedication to day in and day out?

I would spend time with my family. I would be setting my life in order so as not leave a burden behind for my family. I probably would be wishing I had done more for God in my lifetime but I know whom I have believed and I am persuaded that He is able to do that which He has said He would - I will rest in that.

Now in my last post I did not just use the word "you" in a general sense but was actually meaning "you" Jason. Yes I know we have disagreed on quite a bit but you just proved how you place everyone else under a microscope but refuse to look at yourself. If I misunderstood your reply then I appologize but I have seen this condemnation of others from you before without looking at yourself.

Yes, I know you were talking to me personally; And I reject it because it is simply not true. You see me as the villain of the story because we believe in two different gospels and two different Christs. My gospel is not one of Works as many falsely accuse me of. It is also not a gospel that does not allow for me to not self examine myself, either. For Jesus' words apply to me just as they would apply to you. I am not above the Word of God and neither are you. If you do not forgive, then you will not be forgiven. There are Condtional Commands in the Bible to believers. You either believe or you don't believe. It's that simple.

Wow really? Do you actually know what the Gospel is? The Gospel is that Christ knowing no sin was a sacrifice for our sins and on the third day rose. But more than that was the true only perfect sacrifice for our sins and only through Him can we know God. Christ being God in the second person of the trinity is the only sacrifice that could bring us too God. God sacrificed Himself for us. If you need to add anything too that then you really need to study God's Word more. Me not know the Gospel of Christ? I don't try to add anything to the Gospel of Christ....do you?

You can reject all you want but when you start to reject God's Word is where I draw the line. And you accusing me of not knowing or rejecting the "Gospel of Christ" is one you must take before God not point fingers at others. When you point fingers, like you just did in a previous post, is when you need to look inward not outward. It for sure isn't me you need to look at...it is you.

You said I reject the Gospel? Do you know the meaning of "Propitiation"? And yes the KJV, which you see as the "only true translation", uses that word.

Instead, I wish I knew how God would change HIS ways to comunicate, with me (or other ppl) if I had a week, a month or less.

What would be different in the relationship He has already set to TALK directly to me, and NOT by letters, and not by any other men.

What if I knew "your gonna die" or "your wife will pass away", as He told one of His servants in the OT (Eze 24:16 "Ezekiel, son of man, I will suddenly take the life of the person you love most. But I don't want you to complain or cry. )

After watching this movie


with Robin Williams (and those words he said impersonating a simple character) there are thoughts I wish I knew.

I'd probably panic at first, but then try to do as much as I could to show love to people and share the gospel. Then I'd hijack a TV companie's feed somehow and share the gospel and laugh in jail

Selfrighteousness is one thing we as Christians should not contain in our hearts. And self righteousness is one thing I see in you Jason. I actually agreed with a question you asked and you being so self righteous threw it back in my face. Someone had to be "wrong" from your standpoint so you, amazingly enough, made a way to make someone else "wrong". That Jason is being self righteous. You believe yourself to be so far "above" everyone else must be right. You seriously need to get on your knees before God. This is between you and God not you and everyone esle. Until you fall before God I will be there to defend God's Word. You say you "know" God's Word but that is hard to do when you think yourself "so good".

No I am not perfect and I don't know everything but I am willing to admit that...you refuse to admit that you might be wrong.

This question applies to me just as does to everyone else here. It is a reality check. Even for me. So I am not above my own question (or questions). What I am saying is that we all need to examine ourselves more and ask God to help us to live more for Him.

Now, the question is: What would you be doing?

What do you mean, "one week to live"? The truth is, our flesh was crucified with Christ already. The old man is already dead! That is the REALITY. The Spirit of Christ Jesus reigns in me now and forever. I have way more than one week to live... I'm alive in Christ Jesus eternally!

I think Jason had good intentions behind this thread. This is coming from someone that's disagreed with him on a lot.. I don't think there's a need to derail a good intentions thread or harp on him.

I have to give him the benefit of any doubt on this one too. I saw something admittedly human ... and honest in his above post. And I have felt what he had expressed. I'm certain many others have as well from time to time. There is a crack in all of us. That's how the Light gets in :)

Good post, Jason! As for me, I have always sensed, felt, and knew that GOD was calling me to be involved in a healing/deliverance ministry. The more I have studied on it...the more I see it as "NORMAL" in the 1st century church. In other words, it occured daily...as the holy spirit dictated. There were no gigantic organized Crusades, or advertised weekend revivals, no stadiums, no preplanned services. There were just Apostles doing as was told them, "GO ye into all of Judea, Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth, teaching, preaching, baptising in the name of the Lord JESUS CHRIST". They made plans, as far as destination, but lived on a daily basis...healing and casting out demons as they travelled. That is what I would do the last week of my life.
