If you were standing right in front of God right now what would you tell HIM?
In the words of Mercy Me...

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all

I imagine I'll be doing a bit of all of those.

If I was standing before God I would say to please forgive me and that I did the best I could. Also to Thank him for the precious world he created and the people I met.

Did you have a near death experience? It seems similar to mine.

Actually?.....No.

Although, I did experience something, one might consider a "near death" experience, back in '72(?), I think it was (which was some 15-20 years prior to the post you quoted). When I was with "Uncle Sam Ain't Released Me Yet!" (Aka US Army ;)). I was in an Army hospital in Frankfurt, Germany, after being admitted with hepatitis. Had it pretty bad, I guess. I had contracted a pretty high fever, and guess, was unconscious laying in bed. For how long? I don't remember. But, while I was laying their, I was in this dark room, and heard 2 other voices, besides my own. Can't remember ver batim how it all went down, but, basically, it "sounded" like 2 voices, discussing my "fate, or future." Life, or death? I know not! Yet, I remember me saying: "I haven't finished yet!" "I can do better!" I guess, this was when the fever broke, as afterwards, I woke up in that hospital bed sweating. Over the course, of the next 15-20 years, a "voice" just as plain, as if someone were standing right next to me, would ask: "Are you ready yet?" I answered: "No, not yet." 3 times, er thereabouts, this voice asked me over the course of these 15-20 years.

Guess you'll have to read in my "memoirs", (which I haven't written, nor, likely to write...Or? you can just read all the posts, I've written here in CC...Which won't tell all, even if they hadn't have gone to this new thingy jobber do hicky :)). But, it should give ya, good idea, of the spiritual journey, God seen fit for me to wage war on.

Hmm...Guess you need to figure out what you haven't finished yet. This thing called life I guess.

You can see God though, although technically I saw an angel. When he told me to go to them, I said, "I'm not ready yet." well that's an extremely shortened version. Lol But my perception of God changed a lot after that. I didn't truly realize how much he loved us beforehand.

I do get the same "are you ready yet?" and "come to me." voice as well. But I'm not ready to go yet... So I suffer on like we all do at times. Lol I still enjoy life, even though we don't feel the love, glory, or holiness here. I look forward to that again.

If it's of much comfort, of solace to you, I "answered the call", and, I'm still here! :)

Although, the term "normal", has never applied to me. Even in my "baby" pictures, my parents always remarked, how they could never get me to smile. I could go on, and on, and on...........and on :D.

Bottom line? Do yourself, and the Kingdom of Light, a solid favor, would ya? Answer the call!

You won't be sorry! But, the kingdom of darkness will! (y)(y)

I would ask Him why my arm hurts all of the time lately. He would probably tell me to see a doctor to have it checked out. I suspect some type of minor neurological condition but it does hurt and very aggravating. Probably be a few weeks until I can arrange a doctor appointment. Perhaps He will chose to simply heal me but in either case I know that I am in His capable hands so it's all good despite the pain.

Interesting thought on this topic. How many here who are now born again Christians are answering this question based on their limited understanding of who they are in Christ? NOT on how God sees us now in Christ but how we see our former unregenerate selves ? It's vital to know the truth of CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY... and it's how God views us not how we view us. If you see yourself as a unworthy rotten lousy worthless disgusting sinner who God thinks nothing much of you are basing truth on your own lacking info of the truth in God's Word.

When we got saved Jesus became our right standing. Jesus paid for our NEW Birth and our NEW identity. It's not based on our old poor Adamic unregenerated position as a sinner anymore., but as a saint who is 100% acceptable in the beloved. If you don't know this you need to brother and sister in Christ.

We have been made new creations in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away behold all things have become new. The righteousness we have is not found in ourselves by our good behavior but on our GOOD and RIGHTEOUS Savior. Just as we have received Jesus Christ so walk in Him. By grace through faith.

I kind of think it's interesting when people answer the question as if man is the center of this story, and I do not understand how anyone that has been truly born again can't see the awesomeness of being crushed by the glory of His righteousness just a tiny glimpse of His presents, as a bad thing. I mentioned in my comment that it was the best thing I've ever experienced in my life. Again I honestly don't usually even bring this up, it was something He gifted me personally after He saved me, but in this case I thought it relevant. I do want to be clear how I see this though, it's not a "boo-hoo I'm such a bad, bad, person, I should just sit paralyzed and cry" thing, this is more of a "Woe is me, I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips", kind of "true heart of man", exposed for what it is outside Christ because you have glimpsed the glory of God, kind of thing. This does not bring the burden of irrational condemnation, but brings the indescribable gratitude, and burning fire inside to serve the amazing God that forgives, the Creator that lay down His live to make a way to reconcile the rebellious children like me, then this great God takes us and changes us from the inside out, then fills and empowers us with His Spirit and tells us "go and make disciples of ALL nations", and does so for His glory (even though, and of course, it's for the good of all creation).

I understand your point and do agree with you about false guilt, being burdened and chained by your guilt, Jesus does not do this. His Spirit will show us sin in ourselves as we walk with Him, and it will also guide us from it into all truth and righteousness, but it is a walk. I understand the gravity of the forgiveness Jesus offers, I understand that we are adopted into His family, this is unbelievably awesome and can not be overstated, but I just have to keep the big picture in perspective, and He is the center of it, not "me", not even "us", it is "Him" that is the focus of EVERYTHING. I honestly love feeling the power of God, I love the fear of the Lord, I do not see either as bad things, and believe the bible backs that up. I just wanted you to know I do not believe these things I'm describing bring any kind of chains or burden to our hearts, one we see the line between the flesh and the spirit this becomes more obvious. I hope that kind of helps explain what I'm talking about.

What can you tell Him for you would not be interested in the things you did on earth, nor would you even bother to ask Him how He created anything, for you are out of the flesh now, and the things we thought while in the flesh, and curious, and the things we did on earth we would not care about anymore, and would not be concerned about it.

The only thing you would say is I love you, I praise you, I worship you, and such things will come out of your mouth all to the delight of God.

Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Rev 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

That is what will be coming out of your mouth, for nothing else is necessary to speak about.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Although you may say this if you are there before Jesus puts the world down.

Right now we would have things to ask God, and tell Him, but in heaven we will not care unless it is worshipping God, and this applies to this heaven now, for when the saints are at the new heaven and new earth, the New Jerusalem, the former heaven and earth shall pass away, and they shall not be remembered, nor come to mind, for they are associated with sin and rebellion, so the saints will know nothing prior to the New Jerusalem, and will feel like they have always been there and nowhere else, and only charity, love in action, and the saints, will be the only 2 things in the New Jerusalem out of the former earth.

I can tell by your response, that you haven't "experienced" this event, as yet!

For all you listed, has "already" been rendered "beyond" your reaching for, or accessing of! Laying there, on the ground! All AROUND you! Like some protoplasmic "Frosty The Snowman!" And, all that's left, is your beating heart, and what's left of your ability to speak!

And, there you are!

Being "Challenged" by God! Like Dorothy, and her comrades, in "The Wizard Of Oz!"

Job 38
2 "Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins LIKE A MAN; for I will DEMAND of thee, and ANSWER thou me!"

4 "WHERE wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?!" "DECLARE!" "If thou hast understanding!"

At that moment in time? I, myself, had "nothing" I could say! I "felt" cornered, yet, not intimidated. So, I answered: "In your mind somewhere, Lord?"

"GOOD!" Came His response. "I can WORK with this!" "I am IN you now!" (and) "I'm NOT going ANYWHERE!" "What do I do now?" Was my reply. "Get USE to it!"

"You're going to have to drag me kicking and biting, and scratching, every INCH, of the way!" I angrily responded.

"GREAT!" Came His reply. "That's the WAY I likes 'em!" I "knew", right then and there. I was in for one HELLUVA ride! (He doesn't disappoint!)

Ya see? The Father LOVES IT! When His children FORCE Him to Prove Himself, to them, Beyond the "Cross of Christ!" (meaning?) Jesus is the Way TO, the Father! NOT, the destination! But? The "CORRECT PLACE", in one's SUCCESSFUL "Beginning!"

Jesus is kinda like Moses leading the nation of Israel TO the "Promised Land!" (Spiritually speaking, yet not only spiritual). Likening the Father, as the Promised Land? What happened when the children of Israel arrived there? They were "TOO SCARED", to go in! Some even screamed accusing Moses of leading them on some wild goose chase out in the desert to die! "THERE ARE GIANTS IN THERE!" Indeed, there are! "WE ARE AS GRASSHOPPERS, IN THEIR EYES!" "Oh ye, of LITTLE faith!"

The "transitioning", for lack of a better term, or the "pressing on to the "High Calling of God" IN Christ, is like that same "drive" within a man, that causes him to "enlist" in the Marine Corp, instead of some other military service. Because, the Father? Is LOOKING for a "few GOOD Men!"

So when the Father asks me now: "WHERE were you?" I answer: "I was ASLEEP!" "But, I'm AWAKE NOW!" (y)(y)

His reply might be "Why not?" He does have a sense of humor after all but sometimes this is overlooked in the midst of the irony of pain and suffering.

You know the times Gods Presence is so real in our lives, as He shows up we sense Him near so close yet we cant see Him but His Glory over takes us....feeling His LOVE, His Protection, His Mercy, His Peace, and so much more.... (Psalms 99:9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.)........in times with our Father even here now on earth He makes Himself known as we are His children born into the family of God....redeemed by the blood of the Lamb our Lord and Savior we are Gods children...wow...and to some day be in His presence after we leave this earth....to stand before our HOLY GOD, Powerful, Righteous, Mighty, Loving, Majestic, The Great I AM, the creator of Life, God is all and in all...He is enough as we look forward to being in our heavenly home with our Abba our God forever......love in Christ Sherril....:)
