Sorry all for the overkill posts. These are just some thoughts I have found interesting in my study that I others may find interesting.. all of the above has been taken from many different sources but its interesting to know that this is also the first lie told in God's Word at the fall of mankind....

"Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. And the serpent said unto the woman, you shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Gen 3:1-5)

This is why I quoted earlier....

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him." (Eze 8:20) and the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life, that is where the immortality of the soul really begins in Jesus (Rom 6:23) Amen.

God Bless you all

Hello LoveGodForever,

As I stated in the previous post, you have to understand the definition of what it means to die and it is not annihilation or extinction. To get a good understanding of what takes place after the death of the body, you might want to do a study on Sheol/Hades, which is the realm of unrighteous departed spirits. When those in Christ die, their spirits/souls depart and go to be in the presence of Christ. You might want to check out the following scriptures - Phil.1:23, 2 Cor.5:6, Luke 16:19-31, Rev.20:11-15.

Dear Ahwatukee, thanks for your thoughts but I don't think you read any of the post I have provided. Please take some time to read posts 37, 38 and 40 and see if you come up with the same belief you have. If you do I respect your right to your opinion.

In context of posts 37, 38 and 40 is why I believe....

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
