Jesus said this and it’s why he says hearing his word is life

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and he said this to make the distinction between obedience and rebellion to his word

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can’t keep sinning and pretend Jesus didn’t say anything about it that is to disbelieve what he said

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:3-7, 9-10‬ ‭KJV‬

again the difference is whether one repents and starts following him that’s where real belief leads.

If we insist on remaining in rebellion we have this ahead

“and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the first step in salvation is to acknolwedge the truths of Christ and his word we can’t keep sinning he made this really clear the thing that keeps us sinning is us refusing to acknowledge Christ has made freedom available and can teach us righteousness and give it freely if we believe him

as long as we continually refuse to accept the doctrine of Christ it leaves us here in the group we don’t want to be in

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭

in other words John is witnessing what Jesus said

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:21, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the word of God is what it is he’s always and forever going to direct mankind to repent of sin and hear his word and believe he’s never going to say “ now it’s alright to sin and you don’t need to hear and obey me “

the gospel is calling us to a better place and design it’s meant to create overcomes who can stand up
And sadly, despite all the biblical proof that you've written, there are so many that believe that, since they've 'accepted Jesus' that they are saved. This is the underpinning of a shallow and inconsequential non saving faith.

another thought to add here.

i've been to about every type of church service in every denomination and seen the emphasis about giving financially.

are you sure that pastor is really called by God?

when God Calls you, He provides for you. you don't have to become a used car salesman to get money. money finds its way to you.

i really think of all the preachers in America, only 30% are truly called.

favortism and being liked popularly [[((are not))]] the requirements God is looking for.
those requirements benefit the scam artist!
MOST pastors are worse than used car salesmen according to the Bible.
A used car salesmen might lie about the car they sell you, but a pastor who lies about salvation leads people to an eternity of suffering.

As to giving, I've noticed that the minority of wonderful generous people are the few that God provides a true Minister's needs through. The rest are selfish.

I wouldn't say the issue is an emotional experience.
Many people have an emotional experience and profess a new faith in Jesus.

For me the issue is following up with those who do.

The church seems to lack the following up and discipling them.
Furthermore the church adds a heavy burden on people.
Do this, don't do this etc. Judgment is made.

Goodness knows how many people I have spoken to who stopped going to church because of the holier than thou attitude and they and felt judged and useless.

I even know of one person who when asked to be baptised was told by his youth pastor when he did something wrong "Now you know why I don't want to baptise you"

Yes that was said to me.
Talk about feeling like a second class citizen.

The church is very good a shooting it's wounded.
No wonder people don't want any part of it.

The Bible clearly states

Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
You seem to indicate that the church is evil and unnecessary. In fact it was Jesus Himself who founded His Church and he made two promises. Firstly He promised to be with His Church til the end of time and secondly, He promised that Satan and the gates of Hell would not stand against it.

So who do I believe, you or Jesus. Jesus thought the Church is important, so I'll stick with Jesus. But thanks for your input.

yes brother it’s the continuing deception of grace that erases Gods words like in Eden it’s really the devils only plot He knows “ if o can get them to not believe what Jesus has clearly said will save them , they won’t be saved “

he already knows Gods word can save us if we hear it and believe he knew it in Eden “ if they don’t eat the fruit like God told them they will live “ so he says “ don’t listen to God listen to me instead “

that’s all it took and all it takes now if he can convince us that what God said isnt for us or doesn’t apply because of “ grace “ the. He’s able to turn our ears away from truth and to fables

he does this by using false teachers just like he was I. Eden teaching theM The fruit wouldnt hurt them he’s a deceiver the first thing he always needs to do is turn ears from the truth if I can nicely convince you the gospel isn’t meant for you to believe and here I’ve then got you deceived and whatever I’m saying is a fable

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we all have the truth before us satan is now working to snatch it from us because he knows better than we do it’s all true and infallible

the right attitude then...

I hope to do more good work for the One I love, I hope to be developed by Him and become a Holy person, one that HE approves.
You do realize, of course, There is Scripture Of HOW to accomplish this, Correct?:

"Study to shew thyself Approved Unto Him, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth." (2Ti 2:15)

Instead of proposing the idea that "works WILL follow AND prove salvation,"
should we not rather use Scripture Correctly, while studying? ie:

God's ETERNAL Salvation:

"For By Grace are ye Saved Through faith; and that Not of yourselves:
it is The Gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

our works "that Did NOT/will Never Save us, as HIS BLOOD Did":

"For we are His Workmanship, Created in Christ Jesus Unto good works,
which God Hath Before Ordained that we should walk in them."
(Eph 2:8-10 cp 1Co 3:8-15 = will ALL the Saved "receive rewards"?)

GRACE And Peace...

Typical of you.

the problem is. People want to judge those who struggle with certain sins (alcohol, drugs, sex) and do not want to fess up they have their own "bessetting" sins.

Its not my place to judge a person if he is saved or not. It is God. It is his or her disciplers job to help come side by side with them and help them (us) with these sins.. But even then they are not to judge.

So many people have walked away from God because they give up. instead of being helped. they are attacked and judge as lost.. "why bother, i can;t do it"

thats the point, we can not do it, The power of God and those in our lives are what helps us.
Yes i did have a besetting sin that i did overcome. Having said that it would not change what i wrote.

I do have empathy for those with besetting sin like i did and a realization that i am not any different than the worst sinner compared to God’s blinding righteousness.

Praise God he helped you overcome.

I had a severe gambling addiction that after many many many years he healed me of this addiction.

A needed a lot of healing from the cause which led to the effect.

He is good and HIS timing is perfect.

I’ll bet ya I can go longer than you in not gambling!

That’s terrible. I couldn’t resist. I’m glad the Lord has set you free from that addiction.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
And what exactly was Jesus telling them to repent of?
We can’t keep sinning and pretend Jesus didn’t say anything about it that is to disbelieve what he said
And how many sins have you committed since coming to the Lord?

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Interesting that you chose to omit verse 1 and 2. Hmmm....

John 15
New King James Version

The True Vine
15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

"He takes away" is ONE Greek word. AIR'O. And this is what it means:

142. airó
airó: to raise, take up, lift

So those that are IN Jesus, but DO NOT bear fruit, God removes, or takes up. They have no ministry, and God may prematurely take their Earthly life.
They will stand before the judgement seat of Christ receiving no rewards.
They will be among the LEAST in the Kingdom, only there because Jesus is their foundation. BUT, they WILL be in the Kingdom.
Jesus differentiates these people, and what happens to them, with those that ARE NOT IN HIM!

6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

To summarize. Those that ARE in Him, but produce no fruit, He takes up, but are saved. Those that are NOT in Him, he is cut off, and tossed in the fire.
VERY important distinction.

‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
the word of God is what it is he’s always and forever going to direct mankind to repent of sin and hear his word and believe he’s never going to say “ now it’s alright to sin and you don’t need to hear and obey me “
This is how the natural man thinks. No Christian I know of ever says "It's ok to sin because Jesus paid for it".

The rebellion you speak of is defined right in this passage!

We need to put CHRIST in RIGHT position. HE, is the One who saves us. HE, is the One who keeps us saved. Any Gospel that strays from that Truth is a man made Gospel.

“And what exactly was Jesus telling them to repent of?”

It’s basic read what he’s talking about he’s referring to sinners in scriptire and then asks “ do you think your not going to end up like those sinners ?” Then he says “ I tell you nay !! Expect you repent you also will All perish “

And how many sins have you committed since coming to the Lord?”

That’s no business of yours, that’s one glory of the gospel you mind your own business and deal wi the Jesus based on your own works and then you don’t worry about other people.

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, And every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:10-12‬ ‭

that includes you too as does this here

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭

if you can’t accept that it’s between you and him but to act like it’s an offense to mention the truth sort of shoes we have work to do on our own self , part of that is to be judging your own self and repenting when you realize your in the wrong and not be taking the position when someone mentions repentance , “ wellHow many sins do you do mr self righteous “ lol it’s just immaturity I get that but it’s also funny because I’m old and do t really have time to engage

the bottom line is God will never condone sin , God will never tell us “ it’s okay to sin now everyone does it don’t worry about repenting now you have grace and faith that means you don’t need to repent and obey the gospel “

He will however always tell us to hear what Jesus taught in the gospel and believe and follow after the faith it creates in a believer

repentance is just let of the gospel ot really is nothing to get in a huff about brother just part of what makes our mind change is to change from “ we’re all just sinners and can’t do right “ to “ God has filled us with his Holy Spirit and has given us everything we need to repent of serving the devils Will ( sin ) nd to start serving Gods Will ( the gospel )

if we can’t see the part where Gods calling us to repent we’re missing the boat literally

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26). Faith without works is a dead faith because the lack of works reveals an unchanged life or a spiritually dead heart.
You have an erroneous view when it comes to God’s saving grace. Why is it you emphasize James 2:26 rather than John 3:16–17? Did Jesus have a momentary lapse of reason regarding the most important aspect of salvation?

I agree with almost all.

I try to be transparent with my sins with my close friends and be helped by them to overcome them.

If i have overcome some sin i want to tell others that are tempted by the same thing, maybe help encourage them to overcome too and that it is possible.

Repent of what?
That’s no business of yours, that’s one glory of the gospel you mind your own business and deal wi the Jesus based on your own works and then you don’t worry about other people.
That's right. Except that you keep saying things like this. So it's perfectly applicable to ask you how much YOU are sinning, since you say we can't sin after hearing Jesus.
We can’t keep sinning and pretend Jesus didn’t say anything about it that is to disbelieve what he said
the bottom line is God will never condone sin , God will never tell us “ it’s okay to sin now everyone does it don’t worry about repenting now you have grace and faith that means you don’t need to repent and obey the gospel “
What Christian says God condones sin? That kind of thinking does not derive from spiritual thinking.
