I saw what you said and you repeated it. Pretending otherwise doesn't help your case.
I don't need to make a case.

I know what I said.
https://christianchat.com/threads/is-baptism-necessary-for-salvation.206179/post-4887044

You're the one that started the offensive false accusation. Now you're going back to old posts to stoke your grudge? What I said above is what is current and what you're reviving is old news that you addressed back when it was current.

You're building a grudge.

Pretending it's all about you when I referred to those who insist the thief was or was not baptized [https://christianchat.com/threads/is-baptism-necessary-for-salvation.206179/post-4887044]

makes you look like you enjoy stoking conflict.

Even when you need to ignore what is clearly written and as such warrents none.

That makes yours a sad case. I'll pray for you. 🙏 I won't continue to encourage whatever it is that makes you that way.
Very sad.😟

God help you.

After you are saved..

1.) The body is DEAD because of sin

2.) you have to RENEW your mind..

So, if the body is not born again, and the mind is not born again, then WHAT is born again, that becomes the Son/Daughter of God?

A.) Your Born again SPIRIT.

see that?
That is the "new creation in Christ".
That is the 'SON of God".
Not your body, or your mind, but your SPIRIT.

Notice this verse. "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus"""

What is "raised up"?

Its not your body, or your mind......its your born again SPIRIT that is seated in heavenly places. = "raised UP"

So, if you are only water baptized.... that is your BODY..... and that is meaningless regarding you going to heaven.
This is why Jesus told you that "you must be born again".........= born again Spiritually.
Water can't do that for you....... as you are only born again by the HOLY SPIRIT, and the Holy Spirit is not water.

Salvation is free based on our faith. If faith were a free gift and God wants no one to perish then everyone would have faith. These simple litmus tests are all that are required to rightly divide the word of truth.
Salvation is free ONLY because the Son of God PAID in FULL the COST = His BLOOD and DEATH shed on the CROSS for the world.

Salvation is not extracted from God thru our faith.

The Gift of Faith is given to us from the FATHER = John 6:43-44

Jesus therefore answered and said to them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day."

Well said.
Jesus is, and was as he said during his ministry, living water.

Really if we pause a moment we may notice, as in everyday life, God's biblical wisdom proves true even on the Net.

CALVINIST! 😉
God's words. Jesus did it all. God leads, his grace gives faith and eternal everlasting salvation.

Then there are the worldly who are certain they must do something to make it work. To make it real.

You will never ever change their mind.

Yeah, religion and the religious minded lean on 'making it happen'.

Speaking for myself, my heart/mind is reserved for the Holy Spirit and the Word of Truth - (although i am not perfect).
i do not ascribe to any denominational title but i do believe "every word that proceeds from the Mouth of God".

Truth is Truth and "no lie comes from the Truth" = 1 John 2:21

Truth is our Sanctification = John ch17

"I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world. For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth."

Amen. Denominationalism divided the church. As was intended by the enemy and lord of the world .

He lost his power over life and death yet that doesn't mean he gave up.

God's truth is spiritually discerned. Holy Spirit.

Worldly spirit caused confusion and corrupts the word.
Flesh is all. We are necessary! Even in 'saving ourselves'.

That's what the falsity boils down to in its underlying message.

You have to do something.

From start to the end of your living. You have to earn it!

Meanwhile, beware, you can lose it.

Watch yourself.

You're not always saved.

It can be lost at any minute.

Eternal Salvation has conditions! Be at peace in Christ in fear and doubt.
It's the antithesis of what the holy spirit instills.

And that's obvious.

It's the ''IF doctrine''.

IF you work, only IF you're liquid water immersed you are saved, IF you worry, IF you're in constant obedience, IF you don't do this....IF you don't do that....IF you work at it....after you're dead you'll find out IF you're saved.

It's reminiscent of the worldly enemy when he tried to tempt Jesus during his 40 day fast.

IF...you are the son of God, do this, do that, prove it!

And later on he did. ☺️💕✝️

It's all God.
We can't change worldly minds. That's God's job. 😇🥰

It is equally assumption that he was baptized.
It's not there either way.
And demonstrates a willingness to abrogate scripture for arguments sake.

Why can't you and others just leave the passage to speak for itself?

Luke 23 [ASV] 39 And one of the malefactors that were hanged railed on him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us. 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, Dost thou not even fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom. 43 And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

Why can't you keep the Bible in context.
The thief on the cross was under no mandate to be baptized because the new covenant ...NT....was not into effect yet.

Even if the New Covenant was in effect, there is still no requirement to be baptized to be saved. Baptism is a symbolic burial of the "old man", nothing more. It is a ritual statement, but has no effect one one's salvation, which is a gift of God to all who believe.

Myself being a man with many flaws, i find Comfort and Hope in this Promise of the Faithfulness of our Lord and Savior Yeshua HaMashiach:

"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"

"looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith," Hebrews 12:2

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Wrong.
You need to Study the Bible.

Baptism is Required

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

John 3:5 .......Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2;38-....Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Galations 3:26...... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

KJV Marrk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

KJV Matthew 3:14... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15. Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfil all rightesousness. Then He suffered Him.

KJV Matthew 28:19..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.

Acts 10;47-48...
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 8:12-18: But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

John 3; 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance. Scripture makes it clear that it occurs upon obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. Each is a step of faith, along with receiving the Holy Ghost, in the process of one's spiritual rebirth

.."Paul explains the doctrinal significance of what occurs when one is baptized. His explanation is found in his letter to those who had already been obedient to the command.

Paul tells the Roman Christians what actually occurred when they were/are baptized; they were baptized into His death. Being buried with Jesus into His death resulted in their sin being destroyed.

Even though Paul explains this concept, the NEW AGE RELIGION TEACHING is......... that water baptism is nothing other than a mere public display.......... And that is so far removed from the truth.

Keep in mind that Satan knows if he can continue to perpetuate that lie ...... he can keep people from entering the kingdom of God. Thus He has proven scripture which says ...in the end times there will be ...great delusions.....they are here.

Conclusion....teaching that baptism is not necessary is violation of Rev. 22;19.... And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Also two other books of the Bible).

That’s not entirely accurate. God requires faith for salvation in Christ. People aren’t given salvation without faith or we wouldn’t need the gospel.

People tend to go to one extreme end or the other on this, but I prefer the middle. God draws everyone to some degree or another because it’s His will that none should perish, but that all come to repentance. However, it’s our response to God’s call that He responds to. Without faith it’s impossible to please God.

Are you preaching universalism?

I also might add that faith isn’t a gift. John 6:43,44 says nothing of the such. Faith is an action that you do of your own volition and cognizance; Jesus said so and Pul also said it elsewhere.

John 6:28,29
28 So they said to him, "What shall we do that we can accomplish the works of God?"

29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God: that you believe in the one whom that one sent."

Faith is a Gift from God that does not and cannot generate from our being as it is IMPOSSIBLE for dead/sinful man.

"And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?”
27But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”"

"But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

"Jesus therefore answered and said to them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. 44No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.

If faith is a gift from God then why don’t all people have that gift? I thought God wanted no one to perish. Are you saying that God withholds the gift of faith to some while bestowing it on others? Doesn’t that mean God chooses who is saved and who goes to hell?

2 Peter 3:9 LEB
The Lord is not delaying the promise, as some consider slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

Baptism is burial! Romans 6:4, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
Death is required for rebirth to occur.

So much for believing! Read the part of the verse after the semicolon.

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
Jesus did not say get baptized AFTER you are saved. He said he who believes and is baptized shall be saved. Those who refuse to believe what is stated are damned. Jesus stated this reality in John 12:48. "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
