Not long ago I was watching a news clip concerning a different kind of midnight rush. Long story short, it was concerning people who are struggling to put food on the table, in some cases they had little or no food, they are 100 million strong that are on the food stamp program which receive Gov. assistance each month.

Our Nation is going through one of the worst droughts in our history, just the State of Texas alone has lost more than 5 Billion in crops and livestock, little or no water for the crops and not enough food to feed the cattle, and the price of meat is on the rise.

The mid-West had lost millions of acres of various crops through flooding that resulted in the melting snows in the spring, mixed in with excessive rain.

Charity institutions that run food pantrys are struggling to provide for their communities, chiefly because the people who donated are now in need of a donation themselves.

I never seen such civil unrest among those who advocate and support the occupy movement, and many, many people who are apart of this movement have been un-employed for more than a year.

So I wondered if this is indeed the heavy hand of God, and so I turn to the Bible for answers, and this is what I found.

1. Haggai 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands. KJV

2. Amos 4:7 7 I also withheld the rain from you while there were still three months until harvest. I sent rain on one city but no rain on another. One field received rain while a field with no rain withered.

3. Deut. 28:22 The LORD will strike you with disease, fever, and inflammation; heat waves, drought, scorching winds, and ruined crops. They will pursue you until you die. Gods Word Translation 1995

4. Job 12:15 If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land. NIV 1985

5. Deut. 11:17 And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.

6. Micah 7:13 Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings. KJV

7. Jerimiah 14:4 Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads. KJV

God judges the Nations for we read in Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

We as a people will face a point in time, that we as a Nation are judged of God, prosperity messages from false teachers will lead many astray and iniquity shall abound more and more as the day of the Lord approaches.

As I see it, the people of this Nation ignore the justice of God, and do not consider that there is a God in heaven that changes not, also that it is the Almighty that sends blasting and mildew, extreme heat and cold, flooding rains and droughts, famine and sickness and all manner of affliction. Why? To draw people to a place of repentance, remember that God gave men space to repent, but they repented not.

Thus saith the Lord, I have not cursed them. Did I not say it rains on the just and the unjust? This is not a curse from God but is a natural accurance. I have not withheld from them saith the Lord. I have blessed them in spite of the fact that they are wicked and luke-warm. I have blessed them in spite of the fact that they kill their children and are fornicators. America is rich and increased with goods but is servant to the lender. They have cursed themselves by their doings. Indeed righteousness exalteth a nation and when the rich borrow money it is a shame that they do not have to pay their debt.

After over a year of no rain here, I learned what streching of our faith means, if we have faith of a mustard seed and say to this mountain be thou removed and cast into the sea, it shall be done:
It seemed as of the Lord was saying, how long shall I suffer you,, like when are you gonna stand on my word and believe it

This Prophecy is in conflict with the justice of God and does not align with the principles of his Word. You cause the people to trust in a lie! The Lord will judge the prophet who presumes to speak in the name of Lord, when the Lord has not sent them nor has spoken to them.

It is God that controls the wheather Johnathan. Consider wisely these scriptures.

Isa 29: 6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Isa 30: 30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones

Isa 50: 2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
Ezek 38: 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Jer 23: 19 Behold, a whirlwind (tornado) of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

Jer 10: 13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Jer 51: 16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

You have prophesied in error and contrary to the Word of truth. Consider this: Psalm 107: 24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

Psalm 135: 6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

Psalm 148: 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

JONATHAN, GOD YET JUDGES THE NATIONS AND HE WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE. TO SAY HE DOES NOT, AND WE HAVE BROUGHT HARDSHIP ON OURSELVES, IS TO DENY GODS HOLINESS, FOR GOD WILL NOT AT ALL AQUIT THE WICKED, FOR HE SENT HIS WORD TO HEAL THEM, HE ALSO SENDS HIS JUDGMENTS UPON THE CHILDREN OF MEN. You sound like Job's friends or the disciples when they asked "who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind". It does not have to be someone's fault that it does or does not rain.

l CrimsonFlames, thank you for your opinion, but these words from scripture yet applies to all Nations. Its hard to imagine that God yet judges in this fashion, but I assure you that he will curse the Nation that forgets God.

RESPECTIVELY THIS IS AGAINST THE COUNSELS OF GOD, AND IT IS CLEAN CONTRARY TO THE TRUTH.
So your doctrine says that it will rain when everyone is living right for Jesus? Don't you know it rains on the unjust because of the love of God? They could be the sinners and get just as much rain as you.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Read these verses in context. We are supposed to love or enemies. Why? Look at verse 45. Because God loves his enemies and the sun rises on the wicked and the rain falls on the unjust. We are told to love our enemies because God loves His. And it specifically mentions rain. Maybe you should consider these verses before you make up anymore doctrines, Prophecyman.

Why God would give a gift that agitates the body is beyond my comprehension.
Why someone would feel they are in safe territory is even more puzzling.

I do not want anybody saying that I said something wrong, but only want to know, not trying to prophesy.

Consider this, all the scriptures used to say that God will bring judgment on a nation are Old Testament scriptures dealing with a covenant based on physical blessings,so physical judgment to take away those physical blessings, and physical judgment in general who perverted God's ways and that influenced a lot of people and nations.

But it does not seem to be like that now,at least until God puts the nations down at the battle of Armageddon, for it seems since God has allowed people to repent, and said all wars come from man and not Him,and it is spiritual blessings now,and we see judgment that happens when the wicked are put down, and we do not see any judgment on nations except at the end at the battle of Armageddon, that God does not operate that way in the New Testament.

It seems like Old Testament, physical judgment on people and nations.New Testament, spiritual judgment on people and nations when God puts them down at the battle of Armageddon, but not beforehand on earth, unless someone dies lost, but God does not touch them for evil while on earth.

It seems like God is not judging nations anymore with physical judgment like He did in the Old Testament.

It seems like God allows things to run it's natural course, and never touches people for evil, but only good, and people only find themselves afflicted because they do not follow God,so God does not operate in their life to help them, but God does not touch them for evil.
So they are afflicted and have problems because they do not have God's blessings, but God does not touch them for evil.

Consider the Roman Empire, which God said they are like iron, the hardest of the kingdoms, and most determined to get control of the world. They did not lose their dominion since their rise to power like the other powers, and will come together at the last days. They will have the dominion from their rise to power until Jesus puts them down.

We see how they pushed for power.England pushed for power.European nations pushed for power.America pushes for power and has been involved in lots of wars or military engagements. And God said the Roman Empire were the worse of all the kingdoms and their dominion would not be taken away until Jesus puts them down.

So where is their physical judgment, and why did God allow them to have dominion until Jesus puts them down, seeing they are the worse of all the kingdoms being represented as iron that breaks in pieces and stamps upon the rest of it.

Why were they lacking physical judgment being the worse. So God does not always go against a nation in physical judgment, and it seems like God does not operate that way in the New Testament.

It seems since it is spiritual blessings now that God does not physically punish people or a nation whether by putting them down,or allowing their nation to decay,or have problems, but their punishment will be if they are not with Jesus at the great white throne judgment, and God does not judge physically on earth like He did in the Old Testament.

God is allowing the worse kingdom,in cruelty, most determined to get control of the world, the Roman Empire,to have the dominion until Jesus puts them down, and they are not judged physically and put down for God is allowing them to prosper and have the dominion until Jesus puts them down.

I am not making a prophesy, but it seems like God does not physically judge a nation on earth in the New Testament. That is what it seems to me.

Have you not read that Agabus prophesied that there will be a dearth (drought, famine) which came to pass in the days of Claudius Ceasar? That can be found in the book of Acts my friend.

God is most certainly judging America, it was written before time what would happen to it.

2 Esdra 11 :36 Then I heard a voice which said, "Ezra, look straight ahead and think about what you see." 37 I looked and saw what appeared to be an angry lion come roaring out of the forest. I heard it speak in human language to the eagle and say, 38 "Listen, Eagle, to what I have to say to you; it is the message of God Most High: 39 You are the only one left of the four animals that I appointed to govern my world and to bring the ages of this world to an end. 40 You are the fourth animal and you have conquered all the animals that came before you. As long as you have been in this world, you have ruled it through terror, oppression, and deceit, 41 with a total disregard for truth. 42 You have viciously attacked harmless people who were living in peace; you have hated those who spoke the truth, and you have loved liars. You have destroyed the homes of those who were prosperous and have torn down the walls of those who did you no harm. 43 God Most High knows how proud and arrogant you are. The Almighty One 44 has looked back over the world he established. The end has come; the final age is over. 45 So, Eagle, the time has come for you to vanish, along with your big, terrible wings, your small, wicked wings, your evil heads, your awful claws, and your whole worthless body. 46 The entire world will be set free from your(AMERICA) violence and renewed as it sets its hope on the judgment and mercy of God, who created it."

This chapter of Esdra was very long, so I took out just that part. But the rest goes into great detail of what this nation will be like. America is the fourth beast mentioned in Daniel. The eagle.

Its like this place has become a breeding ground for false prophets or something
sad when people forget in what spirit GOD always sent to His prophets: to foretell and proclaim of JESUS Christ.

Do you find it sadly lacking in most words people say are prophecies from God?

God is not judging just America as a nation. He is judging the WHOLE WORLD.

the whole world is cursed for they lust after their own hearts and do not seek God. they think they are rich in material things but are spiritually wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.

Revelations 3
14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[f] write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[g] I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Repent and turn back to GOD.

Repent and pray to God for fear of GOD not of the consequences but because you feel the hollow lack of HIM in your life.

SEEK GOD. Do not befriend the world. Do not make excuses and speak of lofty things.

Seek GOD. Do His will in your life. Praise HIS Holy Name. Give glory to HIM. Give thanksgiving for ALL of His blessings and His chastening because by His corrections you know you are His children.

Let the Fear of the Lord be the beginning of wisdom. Repent. If you think you are wise become a fool so that GOD might teach you wisdom from ABOVE and not wisdom of this world.

Learn to Love as God loves and see as God sees and speak as His Spirit leads, not as your flesh directs you, not as this world would have you speak, but as GOD places in your heart to speak.

Life is more then rain. the body is more than clothes.

Psalm 118:28
You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.

I think saying that drought, floods etc being the punishment of God is a bit dangerous. - Look at the the under- developed countries where a "small" flood will mean that all houses are wiped away and hundreds or thousands of casualties. Or countries that have earthquakes about as often as we have storms...

- Does that mean they are "more sinful" than us here in the more "modern" part of the world? (I for my part think that the more modern we get, the more we tend for forget God)

I do believe God CAN punish us for our acts, but saying that a given phenomenon is Gods judgment will automatically look like it indicates that some are worse than others, are some end off worse off from the damage.

On the positive, is ANYONE entitled to ANYTHING other than the just punishment of God?
