Yes i sure do you brought drugs and alcohol into the conversation. You sure did. Having a fit about it now shows your lack of character.
It good to know that some out there care about integrity. I know we dont agree on everything, but in every conversation we have had, you have carried yourself with honesty and integrity. I appreciate that tremendously.

Suuure , perhaps we should also bring beer and all other alcoholic beverages along with cigarettes and legal pot smoking into church after all its all just social right ?
I see your point. It's a slippery slope when we start introducing paganism into the church assembly. I believe church social functions are okay but they need to glorify God. We shouldn't justify and make excuses for things that are questionable. When in doubt don't is probably the best policy. Our obligation isn't only to the mature but the brothers and sisters with weak consciences.

So you think a person who died (of a drug overdose) an atheist is forgiven?
Oh that's just too rich even coming from a post twister like you. You twist and add to what people say in order to try to 'catch them up' and I don't engage in that sort of thing. It says alot about you though.

Why are you so happy about people who are going to hell? Something really really wrong with that attitude. Get thee into prayer closet and get straightened out.

So, you think they are NOT? Is that your call to make? Personally, that's WAY above my pay grade. I heard that Jeffry Dahmer accepted Jesus before he was killed in prison... do you think he was forgiven? Is that our call?
Its not my call, I do believe what is written in scripture. Does the scripture say the unrepentant are forgiven? No it says other wise.

Right. Some people LOOK for what they can judge though while putting a shroud over their mirrors.

The biggest sins in churches are gossip and the other is unforgiveness. I think it just might be easier to give up an adulterous relationship than that gossip.

Haven't you heard about those white washed sepulchers?

Who says Im happy about it. Its actually very tragic. That don't change the truth, no matter how terrible it is.

Oh well. We know from reading the New Testament how Jesus views people who are so self righteous they thank God they are not like other people who are sinners and so vile that they should be thrown out of a church.

Hey!!! Jesus said He came to save sinners....so you righteous folk don't need Him..

What? you say! I am saved and I know only Jesus saves. True, but you are no more righteous than the worst sinner on the planet. It is ONLY through our Lord Jesus that you are saved if you are. You have done nothing to deserve God's gift and you never will.

Ok. I'm done. Very seldom do the people who need to hear it, actually hear it. It is most often those who already have the heart that God requires that hear and understand.

We can choose. Our righteousness or the righteousness of God in Christ. I don't think God hears those who do not forgive, hold grudges or what have you. You can see this by their attitudes (they really are not all that full of joy).

I could go on, but this is only a forum and yet even here, we see the reality of Jesus words when He speaks of self righteousness.

I would have thought it was pride.

Personally, I don't have an issue with these things. It's psychological. Two believers see an obelisk with a cross on top of it. One says remove it - - it's mixing paganism with Christianity. The other says keep it. It means:

"Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!"

It symbolizes Jesus Christ ruling all.

So for some believers who might believe paganism or the devil has some sort of power over Christ, I'd recommend not having Christmas trees, Easter egg hunts, etc.. for themselves and not forbidding them for those who believe otherwise.

IMO all the above you listed are sins and why Christians suffer sickness over time as the unrigteous do,, but does not effecct salvation
how does sin not effect salvation?
Please, folks, the word is Affect.

The word Effect, when used as a verb means ‘bring about’. Sin does not ‘bring about’ salvation!

Yes, I agree with scripture.... but what we DON'T know is where anyone's heart is at any given time.
My dad had a cousin that was an alcoholic. He could not stop drinking. He was to the point of what is known as "wet brain"... He was a great guy, would help you any way he could, but he could not stop drinking.
He was killed, being struck by a car, while he was trying to help someone change a flat tire at night.... and he was sober when he died.
Was he forgiven/saved? We don't know.... all we know is that God is the only one that knows our hearts, and our flaws, and He loves us more than we can imagine.... He wants us to live with him for eternity.

I love the fact that HE makes the decision, and that we flawed humans don't have a say in it.....

Sort of like in golf.... your lie is the position of your ball in relationship with the green..... but if you purposely hit short, it's called "laying up"..... So on your layup shot, your lie is further out than normal.
