He is no longer physical. And He says when we see Him we will change to spiritual bodies like His.

Yes, and after Daniel's 70th week, there will be a 1000 years with Jesus at the Helm ruling the nations of the earth through Jerusalem. Here he will be Physical because the angel Gabriel told Mary that her new son (Baby Jesus to be) would be heir to the Throne of David and would set on it while ruling the earth. I think he has to be Physical to do this...If you do not think he can return back to earth in as a physical man, think again.....

The difference between Jesus and ourselves is;

We are born of God, into a human chassis with it's own mind, and we become it while struggling with the concept of staying in God. We identify most often, with the human chassis both characteristics, personality, identity and mind.

Wrong.....We were BORN OF MAN!



Jesus was born of God, into a human chassis with it's own mind, and he stayed in God. The human chassis was merely a tool by which he could speak, act, and move around.

Wrong again......Jesus was from the Root of Man, Yet created Man.


Of Jesus, we have all experienced this kind of awareness, at some point in our lives. But it is another thing 'choosing' to live it. Even I know it and struggle to make the decision. Work is hard. Life is hard. People can be cruel. The world can be cruel. So many things we have to blind our self to 'physically', in order to see 'spiritually', the beauty of God that is in everything. It is an other-worldly perception. But, I know, having been in that perception many times, it is where peace and joy exist.

There is much suffering in being human, in living a human life, in partially connecting to God, in partially realising our natural image rather than self image.

Wrong Again.......Man is inherently evil. This will be proven during the 1000 years or Millennium where Satan has been chained and forbidden to tempt manakind until the end of the 1000 years where he is loosed.

Of course he did..... did you not hear about all the Miracles he performed?

Full fledged gnosticism certainly wasn't until the second century. But John reputedly lived till almost the end of the first century. And there is evidence of a sort of proto-gnosticism in the first century. The fact that John is addressing the fact that people are saying Jesus didn't come in the flesh, definitely suggests that it had already become an issue when John wrote this epistle.

Gnosticism was a philosophy that said the body was evil. Yet, Jesus was flesh and blood, and there was no evil in him. Of course, gnosticism also had "secret" knowledge, the root of the word, gnostic. But the point of that secret knowledge was that people could find their own way to heaven once imparted with this knowledge. And that escaping outer bodies was the goal of gnosticism, which is the exact opposite of a resurrected body living on a restored earth !

The point being, what we will be, is because we have not yet seen Jesus face to face! (1 Cor. 13:12) It is not about some altered super spiritual or changed state. We will be like him, with resurrected bodies, that is the promise of Scripture!

Jesus is the first new man. We will be like him. That is what 1 John 3:2 is saying! We will be like him, because we will see him as he is! Not God, like him, of course, but we will have resurrected bodies, and we will be like Jesus in character! That is, sin will no longer tempt us! I can hardly wait for that day!

Angela, the Armstrongite heretics I associated with deny the bodily resurrection, and claim that both Jesus and the Father have a spirit "body" like a man in terms of form. So, Jesus has no different nature than the Father. Their view is actually polytheist as they do not believe there is one God in terms of Being..that God is a multi-personal Being who is co-essential.

This is one of the things I had to unlearn as a former Armstrongite. They have, in essence, a pagan, polytheistic view of God. God the Father and Jesus Christ are two separate beings, and they contain their own individual essence, although their essence is identical in terms of composition. They denied the personhood of the Holy Spirit, claiming that he was a mere force and not a Person.

The funny thing is that they accused Christians of being polytheists due to triads of Gods mentioned in paganism, but in reality they were closer to paganism than Christians, because of their polytheistic view.

They deny the Trinity largely because they think that they personally will become God in the resurrection and join the Godhead. This is called their God Family doctrine.

It's good to be freed of that nonsense..if one doesn't understand the Trinity doctrine, and the hypostatic union, they are really handicapped to understand vital union with Jesus as a believer.
