Let's see.... people complain that Trump is rich, therefore, he must automatically respond in certain ways. But, I guess that isn't prejudicial because his color isn't mentioned, thereby keeping it out of the technical realm of racism. People even take from the Bible that all rich people are a certain way.
It's called Montgomery Syndrome.

Jesus died for the black, white, red, and yellow. He also died for the rich and the poor.

Race, is an social construct that humans used to group other individuals based on their physical features like skin colour and hair texture and etc. However, racism is the belief that one's race is better or more superior than another race. So, racism can take on several forms, such as discrimination, stereotyping and etc.

Racism is a sin, which must be recognized and then dealt with. So, yes atonement, is absolutely necessary. First step, is humility. Racism is deeply rooted in the spirit of pride, hence if its to be atoned, one must recognized their view and treatment of the others as a wrong action and apologize for that behaviour. Then the second and final step is establishment. Establishing an relationship with the other person of a difference race and then RESPECTING them as your fellow human being is key. Furthermore, you help that individual to remove any obstacles that had been set in place to undermine them from reaching their full human potential.

At the end, everyone benefits. For one, God's love can start to grow and manifest in the relationship. Also, there is a sense of peace. Lastly, each person ends up enriching each other. Having a richer life experience compared to when living in racism.

What is the most suitable definition of racism and how does it manifest in action?

Is it a sin requiring atonement?
Yes racism is a sin requiring Atonement..

Racism is about projecting negative or biased opinions on another person based solely upon their racial makeup..

It manifests itself in so many different ways.. But basically you start treating people as if they are automatically guilty of some negative trait no matter if they are or are not actually guilty..

Yes, but some use racism to get a free pass and start riots and protest and block freeways. I mean if you fight the police you might get shot. Ever seen an old movie, where the cop says freeze or I will shoot. Do what the cop says and you won't get shot.

Its a sin because God made everybody. They are all Children of God.

No not requiring atonement because Jesus has died for our sins. Just repent of this sin.
We are all imago dei (made in the image of God). But only those who are in Christ (such as yourself and others here) are actually children of God.

Usually such a matter is evident that it is sin, knowing that God is no respecter of person's, and that fulfilling the royal law according to the scripture "thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" is what is good and acceptable with God; but if we have respect of person's we commit sin. (James 2:1-4 & 8-9)
Note: though a rich man and a poor man is used as an illustration, it applies to any and all manner of differences in men.

"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him." (Romans 10:12)

The lord detested many of the cultures and had the Hebrews overthrow them deeming them impure, such as the Canaanites. He even had them kidnap others wives and destroy even the children, and to burn every last thing to the ground. Does this make the Lord a racist?

Hi Infusion:

IMPURE is the key word here. You have heard about the days of Noah. Well those days started again after the flood and will probably culminate during this generation. These people they killed under God's orders were probably of impure DNA. This DNA if allowed to continue would contaminate the pure blood God gave Adam. Also, they were pagans worshipping idols. The animals were killed in order to get rid of any Chimeras (crosses between animal and man---remind you of what is going on today?).

Now you ask yourself, Was God was a racist doing this, NO....He is not going to allow MAN to change his creation or worship Satan very long. This is a preview of what is to come for those that do not follow Christ.

Racism is state of mind that can manifest in only the human mind where they feel that a person of different color, culture, nationality, sex, etc. is inferior to themselves. In my mind, this is Judgement of another that is a sin as stated in another thread. We are all sons of Adam and there is no difference within.

The sad thing about it is that there are many Christians out there that are racist and proud to declare such.

rem,,, Racism is simply another way to say "I am Judging you".

Matthew 7:1-3 (KJV)

"7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

For members of the Body of Christ, racism would indicate
someone who is not spiritual, nor recognizes what is
spiritual.

(No se falta estar desdichado...Me gusta mucho el poem de Nerval con el mismo nombre. Curiosament, es frances.)

Tit 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
Tit 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

The example here is not racism, not even xenophobic, it is a sincere observation voiced as a warning. Anyone who claims to believe Jesus Christ and know Him by the Holy Spirit and will dislike a human because of ethnic traits doses not see beyond the flesh to the spirit, and he cannot know God for God is spirit.

Whyen we shuck our earthen vessels, as it is written, we will all be just like Jesus Christ. We do not know how this will be but we do know it will be glorious.

If you cannot see beyond physical tratis, pray, meditate and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit; ask in Jesus Christ's name...

It's kind of scary these days when individuals use certain words. The way the liberal media spins this topic totally confuses the word. A hate crime has such broad implications that even if you say you don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle you are a hater.

When I'm out in the world and come across unsaved people sinning I know they are sinning because they are sinners. I cannot expect them to be like Jesus since they don't know Him. I can't give them the 10 commandments and believe that set of rules will change them. It takes Jesus to change people from the inside - out.

We are living in challenging times. Good is called evil and evil is called good. We are called to love people and give them the message of reconciliation.

According to me, there are three main races and there are differences between these races in many areas. They developed different cultures, have different IQ, more or less of testosteron (agresivity) etc.

If this is what we define as "racism", then no, it is not a sin, its a fact.

If we define racism like "hatred for other races", yes, it is a sin.

If somebody cant withstand some specific race in his neigbourhood, its better to move than to hate what he is living in.
I would say the same applies to different cultures or ethnicity..

There are many acts and attitudes which are factual

This does not exclude them brome being sin.

As believers of Jesus Christ it behooves us to extend mercy to all who seek mercy, and to those wha may not. All too many seek out a reason to ban certain sinners while all of us are sinners, imperfect, until that great and glorious Day when Jesus Chris returns to finish the "work" He began in each one of us.

Meanwhile, as we wait for our Master's return, we are not to condmen or judge any other sinner for this would be reigning withut the King present. Judgment will indeed be handed over to the saints, but not in this age. We must love all, including those who act, perhaps, as enemies. It is not our place. If we judge others for breaking even a small pert of the law, we are judging ourselves to condemnation, for we are forgiven out transgressions.

Love should be our pleasure for God is Love, therefore always rush to mercy and never to judgment, and do not encourage the brethren to condemn others. This is not mercy nor forgiveness.

Deuteronomy 32:8 (KJV)

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance,
when he separated the sons of Adam,
he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Well, the Bible says to love your neighbor (meaning another person) like ourselves. Racism is the opposite of love (it's hatred). Having hatred in our hearts equals to murder (according to the Bible), which is a sin. So yes, racism is a sin.

Yes God created everyone but "All" are not children of God. The Lord made a distant difference of who are his children & who are children of the devil.
