Micah 4:3 And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.

this will only be in heaven while we are hear there will be war and rumors of war but there will be war make no mistake about that. You can get caught up in this fantasy of all love and peace and get your head knocked slam off. The devil doesn't care about you or play fair. [h=3]Matthew 24:6-8[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Just some thoughts.

I know lots of people who are either weak in faith (heck, I am sometimes) or lack the mental capacity to articulate an idea in a way that is universally understandable (gee whiz, I think thats me too)........ or both. Sometimes people just need an ear or a shoulder and we are so quick to thwack them with "truth" that we risk breaking an already broken spirit.

What is there to answer? You accuse, I speak scripture.
You asked me, and I quote: "Are you a judge?" and I answered that I am. I then asked you if you think I should judge you or God. I gave you scripture. Stop claiming to go by the word when all you do is duck it, when you contradict it.
So, red, once again, do you think I should judge you, or God? Say it in plain english, red. Are you inside the church or outside of it?

Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God. Both of you need to take a breath and be nice. Are either one of you willing and thinking the best for the other?

Sirk, to answer your question. In spiritual warfare the Word of God is a sword. When Christ was tempted notice how He used Scripture to fend off Satan. With a believer it is a scalpel, only to be used in the hand of a trained "surgeon" to carefully remove the sin and lies, of a former self to prepare them for a God honouring life. Against a non-believer it is only a beacon of light to guide the way for lost sinners. Jesus never beat the eyes of the blind open. All we are supposed to do is show and tell, show the love of God and tell them the truth.

And I rebuke you in the name of Christ. If you are of God, then this will not harm you. If you are speaking from another source, it is Christ you will answer to.

red, if you refuse to finish this then you need to stop saying things like "people get on me all the time and they don't listen to scripture", or "I believe in the bible and the new testament and I don't reject the new covenant"..............I addressed this with scripture and you have done nothing but sidestep and duck. You don't think anyone besides God (and perhaps you) should judge. The bible says differently. Using clear scripture I observed your actions, and, according to said scripture, they came up wanting.
You are no tyro. I have no need or compunction to be gentle with you, or treat you with kid gloves. You pervert gospel and make all kinds of defenses when it is brought to your attention.
Some people here think I am too aggressive, that I am not showing "christian gentleness or spirit". You are not the kind of person one should be gentle to. You need to be confronted, as I have done, and told to stop spreading false doctrine.
There is a time for everything, and when false doctrine is broadcast, the time for standing on the word of God has arrived.

Can you give an example of the false doctrine that red has espoused?

Observing the sabbath as a commandment.
Do you disagree with observing the sabbath? God's word is full of things that may or may not be matters of life or death, but are certainly in our best interest.

I know you understood what I said. Observe any day you want to. ANY. Just don't teach it as a commandment. It isn't.
Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Want to fail in your "effort" to serve God? Teach the sabbath as a commandment.

is that the "t-shirt of righteousness" ?
:D

but on a more serious note, i find myself wondering how many people on this forum are convinced that they are the only true believer here, and everyone else is a heretic, false teacher and blind guide?
brothers and sisters, that's not so. we're made one body, to encourage, extol, comfort and correct each other. all of us are weak in some things and strong in others, and we're called to serve each other and to grow, not to amputate and cauterize.

the Word is a weapon, sharp, quick and dangerous - and we are not each others enemies. we wrestle against spiritual powers in high places. if one of us is taken hold, we rescue them, we don't give them the cyanide pill to keep them from talking!

also, though i will be the judge of angels, for now, i'm just a fruit inspector. :)

Just something to think about. Pointless debates with an ignorant person makes you look like their equal. Things that make sense and are right can't be understood by one who lacks understanding. Don't keep taking the bait just because it's dangled. Sometimes look beyond the foolish post unless the Lord directs otherwise. Or else you find yourself looking less than smart. And there are a lot of foolish post on cc.
HA a lesson I keep failing at.

Just like the title says. It seems like we have a tendency to throw it at people who just simply need grace from us.

I wish there was a "duck under a chair" icon, cuz I would have put it at the end of this post.
Throw it, heck!! Let me reload my verses.
