You suggested Satan will do anything to deceive them. In respect to who? The elect? To the elect he is bound from them believing the lying signs as wonders. With wonders being the faith unseen work.

The elect obey the word of God which informs us no new revelations are possible. Are you receiving new private revelations from God like the Catholics claim even though he has sealed up that possibility?

The faith to believe God comes by hearing God. It is the work of God by which we can believe him, not our private interpretation of it, as personal commentaries. Every man has a opinion a little differently than each other, like finger prints..

But people who worship graven images are not walking (understanding God) by faith, the unseen. It demonstrates they are walking by sight as do all the Pagan religion of the whole world. The elect will not be deceived.

God is not a man as us, and neither is there any daysman between God and man as an infallible umpire approved by both man and God to decide between us .It is why the Son of man who appeared in the corrupted flesh hid himself when men tried to crown him .

God refuses to be worshiped by walking by sight and therefore the need of a graven image called a teraphim.

We are saved to the utmost by the manner of spirit called; walking by the faith of Christ in respect to God our savior, as the same spirit of faith according as it is written.

If he has begun the good work of salvation in us he will finish it to the end. He is our confidence .We are to put no confidence in our own flesh or that of any other man.

The disciples as apostles (sent ones) increased in learning all the days of their lives.

Looking at the life and experiences they had with Christ they continued to seek after the wrong manner of spirit, as you described making men into gods in the likeness of men. You could say they worshiped graven images in respect to their own selves whenever they played out: Who is the greatest?..

This occurred every time Christ would present a parable and hide the spiritual meaning this confused them and shows they were trusting in the flesh of the Son of man. When confused they would look for another person to put their faith in and again play out ; Who is the greatest?

Because they were still learning the value of walking by faith, all the days of their lives they made many errors. And as Christ the anointing Holy Spirit of God increased, the errors decreased. Again whenever they would walk by sight by putting their personal private interpretations of men’s flesh.... Christ would rebuke them and declare .You know not what “manner of spirit” you are.

Luk 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

According to your question I say they were being deceived and were saved as Christ delivered them again and again for the wage of sin..

What would make it any different in regard as it was then, then it is today with you or I? Is He still not the greatest when we put our faith in the work of His Spirit, not seen?
