It is already written about the passing [Revelation 8:6-12; 14:8; 17:8-18]

Nothing else needs to be discussed and you cannot do a thing about it regardless of how you view government behavior

Most know that the US government is corrupted and ineffective

.... that is just the way it goes .... a sign of the times? .... most likely

Is this destruction one involving the US?

Very possible .... along with many other nations involved .... it will all ultimately come down

Can we know this for certain? ..... no, the US is not named in the prophecy

Looks like the rundown in R18, but we cannot certain .... much depends upon how close the time of the end is .... no one knows except the Lord .... no one

At the same time it is very evident that all of lost humanity is guilty and will be cut in one way or another when it is all said and done .... the Lord is going to clean it up

Crying wolf is not a good idea for the Christian to muck around with for good reason ... the conspiracy theorists all do this .... and most are anti-Semitic [against Israel] as well

In the mean time preach the gospel of Jesus Christ so that some can have a guarantee of immunity from destruction and the hope of eternal life .... this is the mission

.... and, the "god" of Islam is not the only true God of the Bible

The "god" of Islam is Satan and they do not know it
AMEN!!!!!!

How about we be concerned about Glorifying God and less about conspiracy? Spread the Word of God till he returns and less time on "figuring out when He will return"? More time on spreading God's word less time on "who the anti-christ is"?

Our God rules all others are pretend!!! :)

I have found that witnessing in today's world requires that one make some sense out of what they believe and why

People just do not typically accept anything else

In order to do this thing one must be able to explain why another should consider and buy in ... if you cannot, the chances of success are very limited .... it should not be this way .... but it is

Understanding certain biblical subjects is essential and in many cases details must be provided .... and you had better know how to go about it .... it is a daunting task to say the least and not many are up to it

So .... study yourself approved for the adventure and be able to relate the Lord's Word to historical and current conditions

There is much confusion among those of the professing "church" today and this makes the effort much more complex

I am a battle hardened prophecy teacher and must be able to make the Lord's prophetic word relevant for people to ponder over [2 Peter 1:16-21] .... this is a foundational linchpin of the entire witnessing process

Many cultures seem to acknowledge a "Supreme being" even if they have a universe of gods. It is not surprising to they might, since we all share a common beginning - east of Eden.

Native Americans acknowledge a "Great Spirit", being the greatest of all spirits - an all mighty spirit.

They don't have the cross and the cross is the only way. All other religions are works based, Christianity is what God did for you and not vice versa.

If your religion has to worry about the gas, light bills and rent, then your religion is work based as well.

Let's see... You all have ran the homosexuals away, so now back Muslim bashing!

Christianity is like a gang now!

Works FOLLOW the Righteous into Heaven...works do NOT precede the Righteous into Heaven.

See the difference....?

I didn't know there were several gods ;)

There is only one God, our creator. Thus, per definition, all religions worship either him or the devil
(that is, unless they worship mankind, which isnt much better than option nr 2).

I think one should be careful in judging though. If you remove the extremist from all religions, who knows, mabe muslims live closer to Gods way than Christians, or maybe they miss the mark entirely. Having just returned from a mainly muslim but very open country (Morocco), I find them to act very relaxed (although I suspect that what goes on inside the home is different from what goes on in the streets, just like in "Christian" countries).

Yeah.... Your problem is that BOTH are wrong! Sounds fancy though, lol. We know where all work goes when one dies. Do I HAVE to post verses for this, or is it safe to say that ALL work both good and bad follows that person to the grave!

By definition Christian is Christ follower. Then the real Christian must close to the Lord.

Real Islam must follow to the Quran, include to kill infidel, I don't know if it consider extremist, they follow the real quran.

Anyone truly following the Koran should be a Christian....as the Koran points the reader back to the Holy Bible and informs the reader that Jesus IS God, etc, etc, etc...

Ecclesiastes 9

4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

You are a liar and I will point you out as a liar, God loves you and hates what your doing, where in islam do they accept Jesus as the messiah and wheredo they speak of the cross. It is a works based religion and join or die.

Shall I call you a liar too? When that dollar falls, both religions will be exposed for what they are now... Businesses!

Wrong the church grew under persecution and you are right these psychology preaching churches will fall, but the cross preaching churches will flourish.

Jews don't confess that Jesus is God either.
muslims god approves of what they do and how they do it. the deity they worship has no relationship to the one I pray to.

Jews that reject Christ may pray to the same God I do, but He doesn't hear them. There is only one way to heaven and that is thru The Son. God lends no ear to those who reject the sacrifice His Son made for them.

In chat the other day someone played a video of conspiracy theory type stuff, and one of the things suggested in the video was that to say that the God Muslims believe in is the same as the God Christians believe in is terribly wrong and that it is not the same God.

What are your thoughts?

It struck me that, while two Christian denominations may be a thousand miles apart doctrinally, when they kneel down and pray, it's still the same God, isn't it?
In a similar way, when Jews pray, despite lacking knowledge and belief in Christ, they pray to God. Our God.

So what would suggest that when Muslims pray, they do NOT pray to God, but to something else? Even if their beliefs are... well I'll let you fill in that blank.
It's not unsound logic. Technically, Judaism, Christianity and Islam share the same foundational characters, way back when;Adam, Eve, Abel, Cain, Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jacob, Isaac, Ishmael, Jesus. Judaism and Islam aren't Trinitarian, and a large number of Christians aren't trinitarians either, yet the three religions differ in doctrine quite a bit. You make a good analogy about this with denominations; even when a denomination of Christianity's tenets or doctrines are fundamentally different from another's, no Christian would say that the two Christians from respective denominations don't pray to the same God, even though their fundamental doctrines differ. So, if the God wh ois prayed to can be the same God for two people with different beliefs or doctrines about him, then perhaps the God which exists never changes, and it is only the beliefs of the individual which change. By this logic, Islam's God and Christianity's God are one and the same; it is just the viewpoint each respective member of the religions hold of him which differs.

Interesting thoughts. I've thought a lot along these lines myself.
