Many people add God to there lives. This is not how God responds.

God's word is proven through the course of history to change the hearts of even the most harden people.
It always starts with God. By grace and not of ourselves. Little if anything did we ever know that we needed to be saved. That there was such a thing.
God in his loving mercy has created all things for his glory. Those that respond with humbleness from a contrite heart shall enter in.

People rob God of his glory when they try to apply salvation to themselves. It's only when they cannot save themselves and he alone saves them that he receives the glory.

It’s when they realize this that SOME freely say yes to god and receive his gift while others still say no
Fatalism is in error

That’s exactly why I chose Christ out of my own free will. I realized I could not be saved other than through Jesus Christ. That’s not robbing God of any glory my friend, but just the opposite is true. Calvinists try to use sneaky tactics trying to make people feel guilty who don’t see it their way.

Scripture teaches we cannot see the true Christ unless first born again.

God saved us through his death on the cross
but he will not force us to take his gift. He wants us to ask in faith

And yet, Peter is not born again yet. The resurrection has not yet occurred. He does not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Abel was born again. Abraham too. Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Scripture states they were born again? How does one get born again? Didn’t the Lord tell us in John 3?

I guess I am just ok with God being able to operate in what we call a paradox. That what appears to conflicting in our small perspective is a simple matter to God.

Can he be a man on Earth and a father in heaven at the same time? Jesus.

Can he be an indwelling spirit inhabiting us individually and corporately, a son who sits at the hand of the father and the father also?

Can he be bread and wine and word and water?

So can we be predestined and called and have a will of our own?

It is apparently so.
