1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
The pillar and ground of truth is what the church of God is built apon.
If i attend a church and find that they are teaching and practicing things that are contrary to the truth in the bible, i know it is not Gods church.
There is fault in every church (people are not perfect) but the true church will be built apon the truth found in the bible. The foundermental doctrines, creeds, principles and teachings are in harmony with the bible.

Like Israel of old. They were Gods choosen people. They failed and did not do the right thing all the time. But they were still Gods people because they were the promised seed of Abraham and because God made a covenant with them. The church is made up of people that obey God and have the faith of Jesus.

A Church in prophesy is described as a "woman".

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Is your Church non-denominational?
The Church I attend is ---denominational but I do not participate in their Church traditions nor do I agree with their Church regulations that are set up for joining that Church -------that Church requires a vote from the congregation to become a member ---and that for me is a no -no ---all people should be freely welcome into a Church -----Jesus had no requirements to hear His Good News ---all were welcome freely ------

I am not a member of that church myself ---I go to that particular Church because I know for a Fact that the Minister of that Church is a Holy Spirit indwelled Minister and what she Preaches is straight from the Scriptures -----I went there the first time just to hear a sermon from her as I have been to many Churches and have left as they preached twisted Doctrine which I want to have no part of ------She was not just preaching but was teaching what the words meant in the scripture and I know my Scriptures well enough to know when truth is being preached and when it isn't -----

I go to church to worship God and Hear her preach the Truth of the Word ---and then I leave ---

I myself follow the Way ---I am not of any denomination ------you do not have to belong to any Denomination to have a personal relationship with God -------and Jesus never ever said Follow my Religion of Judaism --nor did he say follow my Catholic way --Protestant way ---Baptist way ---Muslim way --etc ----He simply said follow Me ------ Jesus is the Way --The truth and the Life ------

We need to follow His way ---not mans way and there is no rules or regulations in place today for Ministers to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit before they are deemed Ministers ---the laying on of hands by man which is done in the ordination of a Minister today to deem the person fit to Preach --- does not nor can it give you the indwelling of Holy spirit -----

As I said in another thread ---the United Church of Canada is allowing an atheist to preach in their Church ------Gretta Vosper is her name

So one has to be careful and know their Scriptures very well to make sure your not being Deceived --

Your Right Eternal Home depends on it ------

Follow the ONE WAY ----No need for any Label of any Religion to be attached to the ONE WAY ----

Division is for Christ to perform. What is good is to divide the wheat from the fodder. I wish that Christ would do that to the Church . . . wow, membership would shrink incredibly.
Fodder and wheat are both food. Either tares or chaff would be appropriate instead of 'fodder'.

Luke 12:51-53 NLT - "Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against--or two in favor and three against. 'Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.'"[/QUOTE]
What was the context in which Jesus spoke those words?

It would be great if every christian believed the same thing, but each major church has foundermental beliefs..
'Fundamental'? Or 'foundational'?

Unless, of course, the founders were mental. ;)

Non-denominational?

2 Timothy 4:3

“But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against an house falleth.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:17‬ ‭

denomination is another word for divisions within one

The truth is everyone who accepts the cross is saved, not perfect, but saved. We can all agree to the cross and it's power to transform. We can all be brothers and sisters.
