I have no reason to believe that psychopaths are anything but demon possessed.
Psychopaths are not Hollywood style killers. They are simply people without conscious. Most psychopaths never become violent, though if they wanted to it wouldn't phase them. There is new information suggesting that many senior management in business settings show psychopathic behaviors.

That wouldn't surprise me.

my father was a Christian CEO and he can easily attest to how many venture capitalists and executives displayed the worst kinds of behavior.

[TE=JesusLives;1450090]I have to disagree with you a bit on this one. Jesus only came as a quiet baby once when He comes again we are all going to know about it as the bible says as lightening shines from the east to the west so shall the coming of the Son of man be. He will come in the clouds and every eye will see Him even those that pierced Him. He will come with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel. Trumpets will be blowing and an earthquake will be shaking things up. So when Jesus comes again there is no way we are not going to know He is here. Some of us may not like that He has returned but there will be those who will say Low this is our God we have waited for Him and He will save us. It is a choice one has to make every day Yes or No.[/QUOTE]

About 12 to 18 months ago there were strange sounds heard the skies over the world. People caught and recorded these trumpeting like sounds on YouTube. After that we the Japanese earthquake, the Indian earthquake, in fact there were nearly 2500 earthquakes recorded in 2011. A thousand more than most other years on average. This year has shown higher aurora activity across the world than ever due to increased solar activity. Lights which spotted over the skies of the world from east to west. So what if he is here all ready and people just haven't recognised him? Our he came, decided nothing can be done and left. After all. He would have returned to Israel or Palestine the middle of a major conflict.

Skepticism breeds a type of ignorance. Facts acknowledged by others are disputed and denied by the skeptic. Therefore, the skeptic knows less than others because facts acknowledged by others are disputed and denied by the skeptic.

Knowing less can be convenient because facts can be messy things. While facts are disputed, they can be ignored. Once facts are acknowledged, they often require a response.

Conscience is a response to available knowledge. Conscience = con + science = with knowledge. When we know less, our conscience has fewer requirements and chosen behaviors have fewer constraints.
To be honest, I am the one who has been feeling some "pangs of conscience" since I posted these words. The first few words, in particular, seem unnecessarily harsh. The post might have been omitted entirely. To try again more charitably, the skeptic, by definition, holds himself / herself and others to a higher standard of evidence and I respect that.

Very honorable of you.
In some ways you are right though, it is possible for skepticism to go too far into cynicism and denial. When that happens then your conclusions may become valid.

Nope sorry not buying it. Bible says EVERY EYE shall see Him not everybody did. Jesus won't be getting off the cloud this time He will be taking us back to heaven while Satan is bound to the earth for a 1000 year time out with no one to tempt or torment.

I second in praising the courage it took to write that post. That was very noble of you and there is of course a fine balance. When a skeptic denies indisputable evidence they cease to be a skeptic and become a believer themselves just in the opposite of stated fact.

But you said those who are blind to God shall not perceive him. That explains the majority if the planet who are not orthodox Christians but it's it not also possible that you did see him, he just wasn't what you expected so you didn't recognise him. After all, people can hear but not listen, see but not perceive. You have to admit the environmental evidence is quite overwhelming to biblical scripture.

I can honestly that is one of the most beautiful videos on this subject I have ever seen. I truly hope this movement gathers pace because this is something I hadn't seen outside of 1 United reformist minister to whom I used to debate life, the universe and everything.

That being said, there is still nothing wrong with the sport of philosophical debate :)

Let me make clear I was not saying people in areas did not hear sounds or referring to the earthquakes I was just addressing Jesus Second Coming.

Then surely these people shouldn't be put in prison or punished? After all it's not their fault.
You could make the same argument for someone who "has a disease." 'It is not their fault they were born this way, so we should just let them loose to hurt, maim, and kill other people.' Surely you are not suggesting that?

Even the man who was demon possessed with the demons named Legion was in a cave/tomb and no one could bind him because he was able to break the chains/cords (Mark 5:1-43).

No, but every evil is blamed on some sort of demon possession or demonic influence. So therefore I'd assume it would be unfair for god to send them to hell because these people weren't of their own mind?

Then again god punished every snake in existence because satan assumed the role of a serpent in the garden.

Does god just punish the vessel?

Here is some useful information from About.com

The study of the psychopath reveals an individual who is incapable of feeling guilt, remorse or empathy for their actions. They are generally cunning, manipulative and know the difference between right and wrong but dismiss it as applying to them. They are incapable of normal emotions such as love, generally react without considering the consequences of their actions and show extreme egocentric and narcissistic behavior.

Common Characteristics Among Psychopaths
The following characteristics of a psychopath, defined by Hervery M. Cleckley in 1941 in the bookMask of Sanity include:
· Superficial charm and average intelligence.
· Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking.
· Absence of nervousness or neurotic manifestations.
· Unreliability.
· Untruthfulness and insincerity.
· Lack of remorse or shame.
· Antisocial behaviour without apparent compunction.
· Poor judgement and failure to learn from experience.
· Pathological egocentricity and incapacity to love.
· General poverty in major affective reactions.
· Specific loss of insight.
· Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations.
· Fantastic and uninviting behaviour with drink, and sometimes without.
· Suicide threats rarely carried out.
· Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated.
· Failure to follow any life plan.

There are different degrees of psychopathic behaviour and different types including the sexual psychopath and the work psychopath. Most studies indicate that there are no conventional methods available which cures psychopathic behaviour. On the contrary, when conventional methods have been used, the psychopath becomes empowered, and reacts by improving their cunning, manipulative methods and their ability to conceal their true personality, even from trained eyes.

Since the psychopath has no real emotions, they develop their own personality throughout their life by mimicking those around them. Their inability to control inappropriate outburst of anger and hostility often results in loss of jobs, disassociation with friends and family and divorce. This in itself is filtered by the psychopath into a justification process for more aggressive behaviour.

Because of their inability to gauge when their actions are being perceived as dishonest, deceitful or dangerous, they also fail to accept that there are consequences for their actions. They always maintain a belief that they can outwit those who pursue them and that they will never be caught. Once caught, they believe they will find a way back out.

On another website it indicated that they were prone to violence and criminality and there are different levels of psychopathy with various outcomes. The one in scripture was extreme because he was confined to caves because of his violent disposition and because he self harmed.

If it is demon possession it may or may not be their fault. If it was a product of parental or familial activity then no it is not his fault. If he opened himself to demonic activity voluntarily then it is his fault.

Demon possession is something that happens becuase you invite a demon into your body and mind. Having done that you give him the right to do anything he wants because inviting him in gives him the right to control and command. As Jesus defeated the devil on the cross it means that a demon cannot invade your life as a Christian unless you open a door to one. If that happens the best antidote is the authority and power of the name of Jesus which can be invoked to get rid of it. Having done that myself I know that it works.

The other aspect is that as Jesus defeated satan on the cross, he has authority over all the demon world and if asked, will deal with any personal or societal demonic activity. I have a book that tells the account of a particular town in South America that was experiencing a lot of violent crime. A group of intercessors did a prayer walk around the town binding the power of the violent demons. Within three months violent crime was almost non existent.

Drugs won't get rid of demon activity in a persons life. All it will do is control their actions as a result of the demon activity because they can alter the responses of the brain. Only deliverance will rid the person of the demons invading their lives.

And that is how we all, learn, especially when it does not get heated and dogmatic trying to force rather just love each other and their opinions, giving food for thought to each other. I mean all of us here are here, and getting along, planning harm to another is plain wrong and if one reads the story of Noah, one sees what God was angry at.
With the people that, planned wrong against others for their own gain

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Fast forward, to do wrong to others is what God is not well about, and if I were God I understand this, and you?
So with free choice and to not take that away, what if God gave a way to Love all, as that video points to

So through God's Mercy to all through Son Christ at the cross is for you and all, to come to life and love, as what I see you have been doing in the debate and I thank you

This is looking worryingly like a resolution!! ;)

Then by this account, can we accept that Atheists do exist and do no harm to others of faith-whatever by the decision or existence? If they do no intentional ill unto others, and we are wrong and there is a god, he would love them and as such so should those who believe, and if there is not it wouldn't matter to anyone apart from the society within which they exist. Good grief, peace in our times! :D
