EPHESIANS 5:22-23

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
I am wondering though why you say you have been a Christian since your birth? Do you have a reference in scripture that indicates some people are born as Christians while others become a Christian through faith in the Son of God?

No. "The Law" in this context is the Law given to the ancient Israelites on Sinai.
“These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭29:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law given by Moses to israel regarding marriage and divorce

When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭24:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus the lord is asked about it

“And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. ( they are correct about what Moses commanded )

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:2-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

just to point it out moses commanded this in the law

When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.”

and Jesus says plainly

“If anyone shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”

The law of Moses is the Old Testament of God to israel. the gospel which Jesus preached and then sent to all people is the New Testament of God . Each testament has a mediator Moses the old and Jesus the new . It’s no longer about Moses commands and ordinances it’s all about the gospel now that for all people to live by

Why are you yelling at me again, and which part of my post did you find objectionable that you think warranted such a lengthy response?

FYI

Text in print is considered yelling when it's written in all caps, which can make it appear bolder and "louder" than mixed case. This is sometimes referred to as "screaming" or "shouting".

AI says so.

Ahh I see . Well if ai says so lol

i thought the editing and presentation tools here were to be used in the forum by the users. I must have missed the sensitivity training and bizarro internet understandings normally when you embolden or enlarge print it’s meant to highlight something in the text

I suppose the ai world and virtual yelling deal I just have missed lol thank goodness I never figured out the color tool I may be “ racist “ if I change the color of the text lol

You may have misunderstood my post.

Your post/text was NOT in all caps therefore you were NOT yelling as you were accused.

It is fine to bold and enlarge, no one should take it as yelling.

I like AI, it is fun. Certainly very handy.

You are indeed free to use the formatting tools as you see fit. However, I'm not blind, and I naturally ignore text that is overly emphasized rather than paying attention to it.

If you are responding to me, and want to get my attention, try just using italics or, more sparingly, bold face text, rather than large bold fonts.

I was trying to be funny with ai comment sorry lol and sarcasm ect

i was just making the joke that people these days jump to what ai says ( not that you or anyone here were doing that but in general I’ve noticed in life )

I remember years ago people were saying “ I googled it man it’s true “ now everyone knows the internet is all discombobulated information wise lol so they say “ ai says this or that man it’s true “

it took me along time to realize what googling it meant lol it sounded a lot more exciting than it turned out to be
Im sorry

Again you misrepresent my words. Do you try to be a jackdonkey or do you just not know how to treat others with respect?

ugghhg How did my replying to you misrepresent your words ? You seem to always want to seem like you’ve been wronged and victimized ….doesn’t that get old ?

Wronged and victimized... there you go again. Did your mama beat you instead of hugging you?

You two are some of my favorite people on this message board.

Dino, Pilgrim often follows other’s comments with supporting scripture. He’s not correcting, he’s supporting. His bolded and large words are those he finds most important in the citations.

Now go have a beer or Pepsi together…

It’s been an issue for a couple people in three years . I probably should just take note of people who I guess have it somehow offends how another person writes something or what size the text is lol probably shouldn’t be so stubborn about it

anyways I’d like to discuss the bible more with you in the future brother because I was getting a lot from it. And hope we have the chance you are an edifying person to discuss with , and a great example of the right spirit to discuss in. Always a blessing to hear from you !!
