Why even bring up a topic that has a million threads with the same arguments from both sides ?
My guess is people do it because it's 'their' thread. And they feel that making their own thread on a dead horse debate makes their argument more valid and they need to make sure their argument is heard and not lost in the shuffle of another thread. Because if everyone just saw their side of things then we'd all realize how wrong we are and right they are.
Personally i think the motivations behind it are pretty sad.

The topic of repentance came up from newbirth, it is not what this thread is about.
No one has actually responded to the topic of this thread. Everyone is stuck on the OSAS issue.
I have said more than once, that this thread is not about the title of the thread but the text.
It is about how we are born again by the word of God that we believe and have received. And so long as we keep the truth, we will remain in Christ, but if we reject the truth, we reject Christ and can lose our salvation.
That is basically what it is about.

You people should read before putting your foot in your mouth.
The thread is NOT, I REPEAT, NOT about OSAS. It is about keep the truth of God's word in order to keep your salvation or anything else you are believing God for.
Even though I used salvation, it goes into every area of things we pray for. It IS how faith works.
If you look to the world for the solution, then His word does not abide in you. The same applies to salvation. If you reject the truth of the Gospel, you could lose your salvation.
There is no twisting of scripture as many claim that I do.
1Jn 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

why does it take a hundred different verses twisting and turning to try to prove a point...when the word of God is explained within itself in simple understanding?
Again, there is no intentional twisting on my part.
Most people disagree because they don't like what they hear.
You can't have it both ways.
You can't have one verse telling you that salvation is not of works, then another telling you that you have to be baptized, which is a work or act of the flesh, not of the heart.
The same applies to repentance from lifeless works of the flesh, such as lying, cheating, cursing and the like. Repenting from these thing won't add anything to your salvation.
Everything must be of the heart toward God.

repenting from those things may not add to your salvation but if you don't repent of them you can have no salvation...

Ephesians 5:2-6King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
