Again, there is no intentional twisting on my part.
Most people disagree because they don't like what they hear.
You can't have it both ways.
You can't have one verse telling you that salvation is not of works, then another telling you that you have to be baptized, which is a work or act of the flesh, not of the heart.
The same applies to repentance from lifeless works of the flesh, such as lying, cheating, cursing and the like. Repenting from these thing won't add anything to your salvation.
Everything must be of the heart toward God.
repenting from those things may not add to your salvation but if you don't repent of them you can have no salvation...
Ephesians 5:2-6King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
