Was Adam not pure? Didn't Adam walk with God in the cool of the day? Why didn't God eternally secure Him?
or was it free will. There is no evidence that Adam or Eve ever repented in fact it wasn't until seth was grown that men began to call on the name of the Lord.

In that verse neither lose nor faith occurs; certainly not "lose faith."
It refers to making it to the End of the Tribulation before Christ returns to sort out the earth.
But eternal security certainly implies that believers endure by the grace of God to the end.
How could it refer to the end of the tribulation before Christ return, when he would have known they would have surly died before that.(selah)It refers to the end of their life.
That scripture implies that some may not endure

Yes, but in your text neither lose nor faith occurs; certainly not "lose faith."

Apostasy happens; professed believers deny the gospel and depart. Heb 6:9 describes such as never saved. 1 John 2 does the same.
Isn't it obvious they did not endure to the end?

Instead of focusing on this or that, where "eternal life" is not mentioned nor "salvation," focus on the plain word of God on topic:
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Jesus Christ is Lord and that title is not there because it looks good He is our Master and we his servants and servants ought to obey their master in everything.

Greetings Kerry;
Are you over losing the election yet?

Now it is noted that you quote no scripture. So why speculate on this or that? You need verses on "eternal life" and the salvation group (save, saving, saved and the like). We can go on about "Well, what about this, & what about that all year. Focus on what the word says.

Here's a couple:

John 6:37
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Why not leave off debating, and do what the Word tells you to do?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How about a little talk with the Lord Jesus in which you ask Him to save you and trust Him to do it?

Kerry, forgive me, but I feel like answering, Hee Haw!

what about this, what about that?
What about my niece Mabel who stole a pig from her uncle Marvin? Does that mean she was lost, even though for 5 years she never missed Tuesday Dominos at church? Etc. etc.

Focus on the word of God. Salvation is offered to you as a free gift with eternal life.
Why not get it now?

Jesus Christ is Lord and that title is not there because it looks good He is our Master and we his servants and servants ought to obey their master in everything.
And since you don't obey, what are you going to do?
Since Romans 1 describes you, what is your hope?

ev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, (TV) and cause that as many as would not kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand the image likeness, etched object RFID, of the beast should be killed.

you take that system God has promised you will not have eternal security.
What's your proof of that?
Where does Rev mention any RFID chips?
Last I looked it was like bows and horses.

If not then it is not free will.
You quote no scripture, but seem bent on talking yourself out of salvation.
Focus on what the Word says about salvation and eternal life.

Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you but you can forsake Him.

No scripture. Focus on what the Bible says about eternal life and salvation.

SHALL NEVER PERISH.

John 10:27-29
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
John 6:37
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
2 Corinthians 1:22
And who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
Romans 11:29
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
1 John 5:13
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Romans 8:34
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Ps 138

"thy right hand will save me.
YHWH will perfect that which concerns me:"

Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] God amongst the trees of the garden[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Since they walked with Him and talked with Him surely Mr. Calvin would have assumed that they were saved but there is no biblical evidence don't you think that would have been an important item?.[/FONT]

It is governed by man because man is the weak and moving link in the relationship. Since the relationship is based on faith, man's faith,
That's the point, Atwood. Our relationship with the Lord is dictated by how strong our faith is. The extent of our faith is revealed by our conduct, our deeds.

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man is going to come with the angels in his Father's glory. He will repay each person according to his/her conduct.

That's the point, Kerret. God gives initial graces to those who start to have faith in him, and additional graces to those who live by that faith by living righteous and fruitful lives.

We must use whatever graces we already have in ways that benefit God and mankind, otherwise the graces we have are dead graces, and God won't bother to give us any more.

We must live by a life of faith, otherwise our faith is dead faith. Can dead faith save us? What keeps our faith from being dead?

Abraham screwed up and so did David
 Please cite the verses where Abraham rebelled against God.

As for David: The difference between him and most of the kings of Israel was that he repented later on and decided to do better next time.

 Saul screwed up
Held a grudge against David and destroyed a priestly city.

:) David screwed up
Accepted the consequences of his actions; God would kill off his first-born/He must choose between 3 different punishments for Israel.

The differences in conduct between Saul and David highlights the reasons why God decided to wipe out Saul's bloodline and the reasons why God bound himself by oath to have David and his descendants shine as a lamp throughout time.

(Christ, the king of Heaven and Earth, is David's descendant; ah, David is surely blessed!)

[HR][/HR]
God rewards the righteous and punishes the wicked.

God sends to Heaven the righteous and sends to Hell the wicked.

We make ourselves either righteous or wicked by our deeds, our good works and bad works. Our conduct.

AKA our physical actions, which reveal if we are righteous or wicked, send us to Hell.

Both Abraham and David expressed their faith via both physical and vocal actions.

We are covered by grace when we mess up, make mistakes - when we are human, as we are human. But grace is not and never will be in place when we deny Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, or God. If a person wants to be believe that God never extended grace to those that He knew would later turn away (and you may be correct) then so be it, but to say that once I believe that I am saved, God is obligated to save me is just false. My belief in my Salvation has nothing to do with my actual salvation if it is not backed by our Lord and Savior.

Do you think that all people that feel secure in their salvation are saved? No.

We see this throughout the bible. The Pharisees are a prime example. They felt quite secure in their righteousness, but Jesus makes it quite clear that they needed to change before they could be saved.

Matthew 21:23-46
[SUP]23 [/SUP]When He entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him while He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?” [SUP]24 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, “I will also ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I will also tell you by what authority I do these things. [SUP]25 [/SUP]The baptism of John was from what source, from heaven or from men?” And they began reasoning among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ [SUP]26 [/SUP]But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the people; for they all regard John as a prophet.” [SUP]27 [/SUP]And answering Jesus, they said, “We do not know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]“But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go work today in the vineyard.’ [SUP]29 [/SUP]And he answered, ‘I will not’; but afterward he regretted it and went. [SUP]30 [/SUP]The man came to the second and said the same thing; and he answered, ‘I will, sir’; but he did not go. [SUP]31 [/SUP]Which of the two did the will of his father?” They *said, “The first.” Jesus *said to them, Truly I say to you thatthe tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you. [SUP]32 [/SUP]For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; and you, seeing this, did not even feel remorse afterward so as to believe him.

[SUP]33 [/SUP]“Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted avineyard and put a wall around it and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey. [SUP]34 [/SUP]When the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce. [SUP]35 [/SUP]The vine-growers took his slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned a third. [SUP]36 [/SUP]Again he sent another group of slaves larger than the first; and they did the same thing to them. [SUP]37 [/SUP]But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ [SUP]38 [/SUP]But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ [SUP]39 [/SUP]They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. [SUP]40[/SUP]Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?”
[SUP]41 [/SUP]They *said to Him, “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the proper seasons.”

[SUP]42 [/SUP]Jesus *said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures,
The stone which the builders rejected,
This became the chief cornerstone;
This came about from the Lord,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’?

[SUP]43 [/SUP]Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. [SUP]44 [/SUP]And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.”

[SUP]45 [/SUP]When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them.
[SUP]46 [/SUP]When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.

Matthew 24:45-51
[SUP]45 [/SUP]Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? [SUP]46 [/SUP]Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. [SUP]47 [/SUP]Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. [SUP]48 [/SUP]But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ [SUP]49 [/SUP]and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; [SUP]50 [/SUP]the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know,

[SUP]51 [/SUP]and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Grace has unlimited capability to forgive, but not all that think they have grace actually have it.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,
And whose sins have been covered.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]“Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”

Matthew 7:23
And then I will declare to them, ‘I neverknewyou; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Those who reject Eternal Security, are foolishly attacking the Power of God ! 1 Pet 1:5

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

From such ones turn away 2 Tim 3:5

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

New Birth, this is enduring to the end of the Tribulation to the 2nd Coming of Christ. But regardless, persons who trust Christ do endure (they don't perish, they have everlasting life).

Is it too much for me to ask you to do your homework on this one? Salvation comes in 3 tenses. The Believer was saved (past), is being saved, and will be saved. These facts are not mutually exclusive.

To be born again, all you need do is to trust the Lord Jesus as your only and sufficient Savior. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What prevents you from right now securing the new birth?
Do you have enough faith to ask the Lord Jesus to save you?
I refer to the Lord Jesus who is YHWH; He became man, died on the cross to pay for all our sins, and rose from the dead.

Can you pray right now:

"Lord Jesus, please save me, make me a new person, forgive me of all my sins, and give me your free gift of eternal life. I do now trust you as my only and sufficient Savior, and I depend on your death to pay for all my sins."

... you keep quoting (I give them eternal life, and they will never perish)
