-"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD" (Deuteronomy 6:4)
-"One Lord, one faith, one baptism, "(Ephesians 4:5)
-"Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" (Colossians 1:15)
-"And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer." (Psalms 78:35). "So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David." (1 Samuel 17:50)
-"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19) "name" notice it's singular not plural so these are titles not different people or gods but ONE God. This is the word of God!!

There is only one God and that God is the Father "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?..."-(Malachi 2:10) If Jesus is God it logically fallows that Jesus is the Father. Want more prove "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."-(Isaiah 9:6) Jesus is the Son prophesied about and there is only ONE Father. More prove Jesus Himself taught that He was the Father. "Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also."-(John 8:19). "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."-(John 8:24). More prove we should note that "he" in the verse is in italics, which indicates that it is not in the original Greek, been added by the translators. Jesus was really identifying Himself with the "I AM" of (Exodus 3:14). The Jews who did not understand his meaning, asked, "Who art thou?" Jesus answered, "Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning."-(John 8:25). However "They understood not that he spake to them of the Father."-(John 8:27). In other words, Jesus tried to tell them that He is the Father and the I AM and that if they did not accept Him as God they would die in their sins. Also what God would we have if He sent His only Son to die instead of Himself? But we don't have a God like that cuz Jesus is God the Father.

Dear R3V07UTION.
That is heresy. See: GOOGLE Wikipedia. Sabellianism.
It's Sabellianism to say Jesus is the Father.
Jesus is not the Father.
Jesus is the Son only.
Jesus is not the Trinity.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God the Son.
Jesus is the Word, the Only-begotten Son of God (John 1:1, John 3:16).
Jesus is not the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is One of the Trinity, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.
God bless you.

  1. John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
John 14:5-7 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Who did Jesus pray to? When Jesus talked on earth who was talking out of heaven saying this is my son. You have to think of these things. I have a cousin who is like a opposite of you who says there is no such thing as the Father only Jesus. Please use your head. Read the word. Don't live off what you heard some fool say please.

Could you PLEASE show me one verse in the Bible with the word "Trinity" or "Holy Trinity" or "God the Son" or "God the Holy Ghost". "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12) "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD." (Jeremiah 17:5)

I Gave verse to support what I say. Not only are you blaspheming against the word of "God" [singular] but you are adding and taking away to the word of God. "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."-(Revelation 22:18-19)

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Maybe this is why you don't understand. "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." (Daniel 12:10)

Praise the Lord our Father, Jesus Christ

I never said Jesus is not the Son of God. There is a big difference in saying the Father, and the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost referring to positions or manifestations. Saying God the Son and God the Father and God the Holy Ghost that is misleading to think there is more then ONE God. We don't say God of Love , God of peace, or God the shepherd, or God the righteous, or even God the burning bush why don't we cuz we know that the God From all these is Jesus Christ.

God Bless

I don't believe that God is trying to show Himself in the way you portray things.

Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ
1 Corinthians 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God out Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Ephesians 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Colosians 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Timothy 1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Timothy 1:2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Titus 1:4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
Philemon 1:3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

That's the beggining of Fifteen books of the Bible! God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. It's good to hear from both. Do you have a problem with the way it is written? We are called to peace. The Bible says the Father and Jesus, not the Father is Jesus. If you could find where it says the Father is Jesus I would believe you but you will find the word "and" not "is". Remember we are called to peace. And it seems so ironic that peace is mentioned in the same line with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, because that is what you are argueing about.

Well I'm not like that I don't like to fight or call names but teach the confused or even the ones who don't know of God to bring them to hope in life. We have to be like the apostals they wer fisherman they give a little of bait and let the fish come to them we must notice that they wer not hunters that attack their prey to kill them. Same with us we can't kill their spiritual hunger but let them come to us. I'm not perfect but I'm tring to walk with God. I'm only 17. I'll keep trying till the day the Lord comes for his Church.

Jesus said I AM more than once. Jesus said He is God and I believe. I don't understand the Holy Trinity but I know the bible says there is ONE GOD. So that really narrows it down for us. If you don't believe Jesus is God then what do you believe HE is?

Remember we are called to peace. And it seems so ironic that peace is mentioned in the same line with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, because that is what you are argueing about.
Johnathanbchristian I don't want to be rude but I agree with those verses I never said I didn't. I just don't see on any of them that say God the Father and God the Son. I only see God the Father, and Jesus Christ. What if we write like for example: my father, and Joe is a very nice person. Joe referring to the name of my father.

I take my time to read every thing you write have you read everything I wrote if you did could you explain it to me how you understand each verse. Please

Jesus said I AM more than once. Jesus said He is God and I believe. I don't understand the Holy Trinity but I know the bible says there is ONE GOD. So that really narrows it down for us. If you don't believe Jesus is God then what do you believe HE is?
Amen. We have to keep the truth and defend what is written

Brother I never said you were, just pointed out there was a thread with a wealth of informative viewpoints on the topic, One thing for the "bait" in fishing, it never ends well for it. Lol

Oneness vs trinity has alot of pages commented on the topic, mentioned it as a source.

Blessings

I understand the verses you are using that there is "one God". At the same time I think your belief is against 1 John 5:7" For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
"There are three!" These three are one! Do you believe that three bear record, not one?

Ephesians 4:5 is to explain that we all have the same Lord, Faith, Baptism, God.

If you study Ephesians it is teaching that Gentiles and Jews, Jew and Greek are both have the same Lord, Faith, Baptism, and God.
Ephesians 2:12" That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants ofpromise, having no hope, and without God in the world:"
Ephesians 2:14 "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us:"
Ephesians 2:17-19 "And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
Ephesians 3:5-6" Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now reveled unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:"

If you study the whole book of Ephesians it is talking about the Gentiles being saved and becoming the same body of believers as the Jews. The Gospel was to the Jew first then the Greek. The Gentiles now serve the same God as the Jews. We have one Lord, Faith, Baptism, and God.

I answered your question I believe. I looked at what you wrote. Three bear record in Heaven, I believe I'm afraid you think only one bears record. Ephesians is about the gentiles being the same body of believers as the Jews if you read all the chapters from the beggining.

John 10:27-33 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
I and my Father are one.
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."

Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."

John 14:7 "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?"

Isaiah 63:11 "Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?"

Ezekiel 11:9 "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:"

Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father."

The spirit of God's son is sent into our hearts? God puts his spirit within us right?

Matthew 3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:"

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

according to scripture the Spirit of God's son is the Holy Ghost.

It is clear that Jesus is God. If that is clear then how can he be God but not be the father? The father is God and Jesus is God but they aren't the same persons? What? Really? "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." That's who Jesus says he is, The Alpha and the Omega.

Isaiah 43:11 "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."

John 4:42 "And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world."

1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."

Revelation 21:23 "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

How can you separate Jesus and the Father? All of the fullness of the Godhead lived bodily in Jesus Christ. Everything Jesus was was the father and the Holy Ghost. How can you separate Jesus from the Holy Ghost? Jesus has all authority over all of heaven and earth! God Almighty, he and the father are not separate Jesus said it himself. If you've known him you've known the father also. He said to Philip, have I been with you so long time Philip and still you do not know Me? How can you get anymore clear than that?

I do not go against 1 John 5:7 I do believe that the Father, the Word which is the Son (John 1:14), and the Holy Spirit is God, God is Holy (Leviticus 11:44; 1 Peter 1:16) He alone is holy in Himself. God is also a spirit (John 4:24), and there is only one spirit of God (1 Corinthians 12:11; Ephesians 4:4). Therefore "Holy Spirit" is another term for the ONE God. therefore I believe in 1 John 5:7 that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit bear record in heave and that these three titles is one (Jesus Christ)
