we are not only called the preach the gospel we are also called to be light and salt to the world. Christians are in every world war, and in every venue of society. We are not called to hide in the backwoods waiting for the Lord to Come. Jesus said to occupy to HE comes.

Yet we are limited we are still to hold our ground in The Truth of God's word. Apologetics has its place too, in the context of truth. Winning the debate doesn't transfer to winning the lost.

What are your thoughts?
:) Where did Jesus tell us not to debate Christian Apologetics? There were no Christians when Jesus walk this earth. From what I read seems He may have many times.

You said "Most people won't preach the true gospel because it offends most people." There are over 30 million Churches in the world how can you say "most people"? This is not truth for you cannot. Then whats the "true gospel" what you personally believe or that Jesus came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin was buried. Rose the 3rd day is seated at the right hand of the Father. Christ is the only way to the Father. The Gospel the GOOD NEWS! Christ came died for you to set you free!

Seen much of this post somewhere else. If those things you listed are sins for you then you best not do them. Since no other Christian are here to please you and belong to a GOD.. pray for them if you think they are in error because you love them. Then know that the work Christ started in them in you in me He will finish it. Praise GOD glory to Jesus..

Sorry, but this is only a piece of the Gospel. What's the rest of it?

Jesus dying on the cross isn't the whole gospel, for His death pays the penalty for our sins. How could Abraham, for example, be Pure, Blameless, and Holy if Christ hadn't died yet? What's the rest of His Holy Work? What else does He do? Get this figured out . . . then you'll have the whole Gospel. And thus I would agree with Hatedfornoreason . . . few, and only an EXTREME few (not even pastors) understand the whole Gospel.

Everyone thinks they're a "Chief" and ignore the fact that we're only Indians.

As my former friend Walter Martin once told me you can win the war and lose a soul.

It is not winning, it is how you conduct yourself.

Jesus told the apostles to preach the gospel. Those with the gift of Evangelism preach the gospel.

1 Corinthians 3:6-8
Easy-to-Read Version
6 I planted the seed and Apollos watered it. But God is the one who made the seed grow. 7 So the one who plants is not important, and the one who waters is not important. Only God is important, because he is the one who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have the same purpose. And each one will be rewarded for his own work.

As you can see some believers are the planters, some the watering and others harvest.

We can do all three. Polite discussion is for sharping the iron.

Proverbs 27:17
As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp.

Acts 15:7
After a long debate, ...

Acts 17
Paul and Silas in Thessalonica
Paul and Silas traveled through the cities of Amphipolis and Apollonia. They came to the city of Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue. Paul went into the synagogue to see the Jews as he always did. The next three weeks, on each Sabbath day, he discussed the Scriptures with them. He explained the Scriptures to show them that the Messiah had to die and then rise from death. He said, “This Jesus that I am telling you about is the Messiah.” ...

It is clear that Jesus debated the religious leaders and others.

Acts 17:22
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Acts 18:4
And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Acts 28:29
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

Mark 12:35
And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
