Just something to ponder here and nothing else.

Control was Jezebel's best friend. She controlled everything. She also killed the prophets, who at her time were responsible for delivering the word of the Lord. Her seducing spirit and immorality were secondary attributes and assignments to her primary attribute and assignment which was exerting control over the delivery of God's word.

Jezebel never attmepted to seduce prophets, including Elijah, to destroy them. She simply killed them outright and put a hit out on Elijah. SHe did this to control the word of the one true God.

There are many people in churches today that seek to control the delivery of God's word through the Pastors he has appointed and they do not seduce the pastor to destroy the delivery of God's word. They use control of the board members, teachers and other staff in church to get what they want.

The quickest way to end that foolishness is to sit the person down and teach your church staff to discern and identify those types of people and tell them NO! that usually moves them out of your church and they go to the next one and the next one and the next, exerting control to thwart the delivery of God's word.

Seducing and immorality are secondary and in fact, most women that fit this profile are also married, but never have sexual affairs, they get off on control.....and control others to engage in immoral acts....their husbands are usually passive Ahabs that have high ranking positions in business or self made men who have loads of resources.

I would urge certain posters to stop casting pearls.....before the oinkers

So because some of us believers claim thier is no biblical foundation for this teaching, we are now pigs? lol I noticed also that anyone who dares to disagree with the religious process, is also branded as having this evil spirit? Let me guess, you believe anyone who don't go along with benny hinn and the whole TBN nonsense has this spirit as well?

Mitspa, please show me in my post where I mentioned Jezebel and spirit together....

I also have no opinion on Benny Hinn or TBN, since I do not watch or listen to either of them and have never watched or listened to either one of them.....I also believe the correct term is swine and not pig.....

Lastly, I could care less what you think or believe.....it is obvious you have some truth in you, but any respect I had for you is fading quickly....I expect better from you than personal insults and taunts....

We can look at this thread from another view..... How many threads about spiritual issues in the church have been dumbed-down with insults from those who don't want the issue talked about? Spiritual issues CAN & SHOULD be dealt with by using the scriptures & reasoning together, just like God does us.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Insulting people for their beliefs isn't godly, no matter how you paint the picture.

First you say there's no such thing, & now you accuse someone of having what you say doesn't exist? Either way, it's quite obvious what your intentions are.

While you've helped me immensely to expose you for the fraud you are, you've also proven by your fruit that this spirit does exists. For that I thank you.:)
Yes I think we should not attack those who believe this doctrine has no biblical soundness.

You basically call the folks who have real biblical reasons for doubting this sort of doctrine...swine and then accuse me of personal insults

It seems that everything is all in the open for everyone to see..... including God. I'll accept His judgement.

True, and it is the Jezebel "like" spirit that lives among us that has a "fit" if you will, whenever truth is being discussed, because that spirit loves a lie and wants the false doctrine promoted.

You can post all the scripture in the Word concerning any given topic, and some keep asking for proof. they are blind, and only our Maker can open the eyes of the blind. There are many verses that speak of unclean spirits living in bodies of flesh, and they have certain traits we can identify them by, Jezebel is only one, but is a very powerful spirit in my opinion.

Here's another example of an unclean spirit identified as "mute" because that's the effect it has on it's victim.

Luke 11:14

And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute; when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed.

Didn't read where the Lord cast out a Jezebel Spirit? or that there is such a thing? I wonder why God would have failed to give us this understanding, seeing how much power some of you believe it has against the church?

Col 3:8 ¶ But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

All you guys are describing is the old man of flesh...it helps no one to make up all this stuff and a spirit named Jezebel and take folks away from the real issue of their flesh!

The one verse in revelation and the other in 1 Tim always reminded me of the other how they are worded

Like in the one where he has somewhat against thee

(And because) THOU sufferest that woman Jezebel... to teach (and seduce)

Whereas in the other where Paul had said,

"BUT I suffer not a woman to teach

Its like one is answering against the other between them or something

For example

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

But I suffer not a woman to teach,

nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Whereas right here the words
usurp authority over (in respects to the man) is shown and I cant find it used anymore then once in scripture

As the word authenteō

  1. one who with his own hands kills another or himself
  2. one who acts on his own authority, autocratic
  3. an absolute master
  4. to govern, exercise dominion over one

Well, its not being the same word authority (exousia) which can be found elsewhere (throughout)

You know, looking at your post...it would appear if such a thing as a jezebel spirit is real? It would be found in those that teach, and are in control of the religious process. Not the poor folks who are made merchandise of by these (buy me a new car) preachers.

I find it funny you call it a doctrine when I told you exactly what comes from the Bible.

I dont know, seems Jesus points out one is suffering THAT (particular) woman (in name) Jezebel (which also falls under that which calls herself a prophet) to both teach and to seduce his servants to those things written there. Whereas in Paul he says But I suffer not a woman to teach or usurp authority over THE man and they which will be saved through childbearing whereas in the other would have her children killed with death. The wording aound it interests me, and then the authority there (in respects to the woman) in relation to the man is refective of no other authority found given to men elsewhere and in both the picture of children coming in after.

I cant say though

I know the bible..and this is not taught....so its a extra-biblical doctrine. Its should be tested to see if it is sound, and to this point it seem to have no real biblical foundation but only something that can mean a lot of things to a lot of folks...Its not sound doctrine that can be taught line upon line and precept upon precept...In fact the very term is made up out of thin air.

I will ask you again mistpa, where did I mention Jezebel and spirit together in my post? ANswer me smart guy please....I never said a word about Jezebel Spirit. I talked about how the Bible described the real living Jezebel

If you know your Bible so well, then do you disagree with what I posted about Jezebel? That she killed prophets to stop the delivery of the word of God and that she was about control and that her immorality and seducing natures were secondary attributes?

Are you so grounded in the word that you fail to understand that even today control is found in churches to stop the delivery of the word of God?

You will find word for word what I originally posted in 1 and 2 Kings....I never stated agreement or disagreement with the term Jezebel Spirit....

Look you seem to want to have some personal debate about what you said and when and whatever....maybe you said you believe this sort of doctrine...but yet you wont put two words together? It don't matter...the idea and teachings of this Jezebel spirit are not sound doctrine and cannot be taught as sound doctrine by true bible teachers.
