Acts 9: 17-18 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales; and he received sight, and arose, and was baptized.
In verse 10-16 Ananias has a vision of the Lord telling him that Saul in his praying also had a vision of Ananias putting his hand on him and getting his vision back. When it actually happened, Saul believed and was baptized immediately.

op: John's baptism or Christ's baptism with the Holy Spirit?
Yes, both are Scriptural, but for "which" Dispensation?

1) Yesterday's dispensation of covenants and law, according to prophecy?
or:

2) Today's Dispensation Of Grace, According To The Revelation Of The Mystery?
ie:

Three baptisms, Rightly Divided, Within God's Contexts:

(1) Prophecy / Covenants / Law for Israel:

water baptism was man's operation, Commanded by God
to John the baptizer, and then by Christ to:

►►► The Twelve apostles who Were Sent to {water} baptize! ◄◄◄

The two Main (of 12) baptisms =

A) water, For remission of sins/induction into Israeli "priesthood!":
(Matthew_3:5-6; Mark_1:4; Luke_3:3; John_1:31; Luke 7:29-30; Acts_10:37)
(Matthew_28:19; Mark_16:16; Acts_2:38, 22:16; Ezekiel_36:25)
+
This Is The Baptism That "Christ Performed" after ascending Into Heaven:

B) Baptism With The Holy Spirit, Poured Out By Christ, for
power, signs And wonders!
(Isaiah_44:3; Matthew_3:11; Mark_1:8, 16:17-18;
Luke_24:49; Acts_2:17-18, 38, 8:15-17, 11:16)

Thus, the lost sheep of the house of Israel were saved by "remission of sins"
( by water ), and then were "Baptized By Christ, With" The Holy Spirit.

God's Context Of: Prophecy / Covenants / Law

Q: Are these two "still Required" By God, for us, Today, Under Grace?
Bible Answer:

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ!” {online}:

(2) God's Other Context Of: Mystery/Grace! =

our "One apostle to the Gentiles" for The Body Of Christ:

►►► Paul Was Not Sent to {water} baptize! Why Not?: ◄◄◄

Today: Only One Baptism = "By" The One Spirit = God's Operation,
Spiritually
Identifying members In (The One Body Of) Christ!!
(Ephesians_4:5; Colossians_2:12; Galatians_3:27;
Romans_6:3-4; ►►► 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJB ◄◄◄)

Conclusion:

1a) Today, UNbelievers who repent and have faith are Baptized "By"
The One Holy Spirit, with One Baptism Into The One Body Of Christ,
Seated In The Heavenlies. This would be 'Dispensational' for us to
teach for building up The Body, today, under Grace.
1b) Thus, for today, Under Grace, the two baptisms of water and with
The Spirit would be Scriptural but, would be 'UNdispensational' for
us, to teach for practice, thus Confusing new babes in Christ!
2) This viable alternate Biblical Option has Certainly Vanquished
Satan's [ 14-part denominational views of 'water' baptisms ] Confusion
Into Oblivion! - For me, anyway! - you?
Full study is here: One Baptism!

Amen.

ps. Also helpful is: UnScriptural or UNdispensational?

receiving the holy ghost doesn’t replace getting baptized

to think of “water “baptism and receving the holy ghost as two different doctrines is missing the point

“I indeed have baptized you with water: ( man’s role )

but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.”( gods role )
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Water and spirit

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

water and spirit

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38

Water and spirit

“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:43-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

baptism for repentance and remission of sins is what man was commanded to do by faith because we believe the gospel . The holt ghost can only be given by Jesus from heaven it’s not what the church is commanded to do John said “ he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭

that was a prophecy of this

“And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:3-4‬ ‭

baptism in jesus name is this, it’s what the lord established and commanded for remission of sins for those with faith in Christ when they believe

“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:35-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it was established in the body of christ when he was baptized

“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The only reference to baptism of the Holy Ghost in the whole Bible is John saying that Jesus would later baptize with the holy spirit jesus explained that after he rose before pentocost

“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Soon after they received the Holy Ghost who chi is what John was talking about when he said he would baotize with the Holy Ghost and fire . The apostles after this kept baptizing people in water for remission of thier sins in Christs name no human has ever baptized another with the Holy Ghost he has to come from Jesus in heaven

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ( our act of faith believing )

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”( Gods promise )
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:32-33, 38‬ ‭

There’s one baptism not two

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

water and spirit are two parts of the same what were told to do by faith and what he promised to do for us , when we say “ water baptism “ we’re just talking about baptism for remission of sins in Christs name

when someone says “ baptism of the Holy Ghost “ they are talking about receiving the Holy Ghost from God like at pentocost there is just one baptism it’s the one established by God through the baptizer he sent who also witnessed that Christ would give the spirit
