Jonathan: Name some Modern prophets please

I believe in personal prayer language and it is a conversation between the person and God and should be done in PRIVATE. I believe Johnathon may speak with God but the many "prophecies" he posts sound more like personal revelations between himself and God that he should record for his own benefit and not broadcast out to an the worldwide web that consists of a lot of different people.

God does not only reveal messages, but He also tells the person WHO should receive the message and WHEN and HOW to deliver it.

Timing and delivery is just important to effective Spiritual battle stragety as the message or sword blow itself. All words should be aim at a particular foe and not swung haphazardly so that innocent civilians will be injured by their sting.

. Prophecy's goal is not to get people to believe in the prophecy or the prophet but to lead people closer to God. When a person Proclaims a blanket "prophecy" of peace r condemnation to people they do not even know, not a nation, church, or community but to the entire world and then say "you will be blessed if you believe this prophecy" I for one will test that person even closer. For My Heavenly Father NEVER has told me to speak in such a manner.

He has said to tell people to seek a closer relationship with HIM not me. To believe HIS words not Mine. To encourage people to read the Bible for themselves, to PRAY for themselves. not to seek a person or prophecy to worship and guide their life but to seek GOD and His guidance through His Holy Spirit.

1. Private prayers should remain private and before uttering anything one should pray and ask God if it is His will or if your words will place stumbling blocks and cause contention among the brethren

2. All Prophecy should point to a closer relationship with JESUS and should be a testimony of the power of JESUS, not the person delivering the message

3. though spiritual gifts still exist and speaking in tongues is true, Paul called for an orderly church and for only one or two to speak, one at a time and only if a interpertor was present. it should not make up the whole worship service and PROPHECY where one speaks COHERENTLY revealing to God's children His heart should be preferred over any tongue that no one can understand or translate.

test of a prophet: how does he spend his time when no one is watching? in prayer and study of God's word? or chasing after his own lust and writing "prophecies" and debating with others to get them to believe him?

It would not make them a prophet. It would make them good story tellers.

When God gave a prophesy it was a NEW REVELATION. Not an OLD ONE! When you speak old revelation it is called teaching. when you speak new revelation, it is called prophesy!

Rom 6 : 3 Or do you not know that as many of us that were baptized into christ jesus were baptized into his death, therefore were were buried with him in baptism unto death that just as christ was raised by the father, even so we should walk in newness of life..For we have been united together in his likeness of his death certainly we shall also be united in the likeness of his ressurection

1. Who baptized us into these things?
2. What do they mean?

Jesus did not tell Peter he had a demon, He told him he was working for satain in what he thought.

Second. A demon CAN'T Enter a Christian. The Holy Spirit and a demon can not occupy the same body! You have got to be kidding me/. Where did you learn your bible??

You confuse salvation and water baptism with the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I believe in salvation. I believe in water baptism. I believe the verses you quoted. But you are applying them to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Bible never applyed them to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I've already told you numbers of times that what you believe already happened to the disciples in John 20. They 'recieved' the Holy Spirit. In fact you get it backwards because they recieved the Holy Spirit in John 20 and the Spirit was' in' them John 14 and in Acts 1 it says "after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:". You say it's like the Old Testament in John 20 but it's not.

And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].

This is not necessary. You do get bapyized with the spirit, at least some people do.
