Lol. You cannot be very good at debate, not to realise a mirror image is a neat trick to play.
Jesus did not choose his deciples on the spiritual gifts but because of who they were. Character and aptitude matter, but in this super spiritual world, "the wise" discern.
Jesus praised the woman who gave all to the collection in the temple, in secret compared to the pharisee who gave little with great pomp and ceremony. He praised there understanding and teaching but not their actions. I have been in too many churches putting gifts above reality and honesty, to fall for this idea.
The problem is Willie, you lived as a legalist for so many years, and I never lived that life, and never followed a church, or way of being a christian other than being honest before the Lord. So I do not know what is in your mind, other than from your past. I praise peoples honesty and openness, because this is where we find life. Who is true, who has hidden sin with hidden hypocracy and who is true? Only the Lord knows, all I can do is speak from my heart, and that is all the Lord calls me to do. Would you have me pretend to be someone else, so to praise things I find flawed, or uplift people as examples of following Jesus when I do not see it.
I do not know you, only a little. Now I hope I can be a blessing, but I can be only that which I am.
