We are spending too much time tearing down brothers and sisters teaching the Gospel. This needs to stop. When I think that someone is teaching an incorrect doctrine, I confront them personally. Then I pray for God to reveal the correct doctrine to them. Many times God lets me know that I am wrong. In which case, I apologize to the teacher.

Sometimes I find something & just want to share it with everybody on CC. This time it's Joyce Meyer saying something I never thought I'd hear her say publicly. It'll blow yer mind.

people come up with stuff that is not even in scripture
for some reason, there is this teaching that pops up that seems to think Christians should beg on street corners for food while preaching
if selling a book you have authored indicates a false teacher to you, then I suppose you also consider this site false as well since they do ask for donations...which they certainly have a proper right to do since we are using it

This is free and there are hundreds of these for people to view and grow in the Lord...in this video below she talks about trusting God when we go through life and we don't understand...now that sounds really heretical...
What is this woman of God going to be doing next?...I bet she was in on it too when they shot Kennedy ...

And it wasn't free for Paul when the saints helped him out too back in his day. This is a different age and God has blessed the western world so that we can be a blessing to others......a failure to see the differences in the cultural society of the times we are in - in comparison to the start of the NT -- will cause us to draw wrong conclusions about some things.

First of all, I don't know much about what Joyce Meyers teaches, and the fact that people have been positively touched by God through her ministry is not necessarily indicative of correctness of her doctrine (the Bible says that God's Word will not return to Him void. God can use any instrument He pleases to reach people with His love).
Second, I'm extremely leery (understatement) of TV preachers. I don't trust the vast majority of them farther than I could throw them, and you'd bettered believe a lot of them are false teachers who ought to be avoided like the bubonic plague. Paul was hard on false teachers. BUT...
This post is dead on in a lot of ways. People sit around whining and judging people in ministry position and aren't doing a blessed thing to help the lost around them. God said that by the measure you judge people, you will be judged. I think people (and on this forum, especially) ought to take that as being the scariest thing they've ever heard. I can't say either way whether or not Joyce Meyers is a Christian or not, because I don't know her - but I think people ought to be extremely careful before they jump on a bandwagon bashing anybody. For all I know, she simply chose her words poorly (which, quite frankly, I am guilty of on a regular basis).
On a slightly different note, I think that everyone here (including myself) could learn a lot about correcting/teaching/rebuking other Christians from Aquila and Priscilla... (Notice the text doesn't say, "beat his brains in with a pitchfork.")
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. Acts 18:26

if someone told me they found Jesus and then told me they are gonna get rich and become a god, i mean little god, i would be unsure if they truly found Jesus being as Jesus never taught anything like that.
