LUKE 21:8.

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived:
for many shall come in My name, saying, I Am Christ;
and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Exactly, go after Christ.

Some say Joyce is a false prophet, wouldn't it be better to look at her and consider all the people she has helped lead to Christ Jesus?
Everyone of her followers she leads away from Christ with her substitute for Christianity, and so the decline of Christianity in America continues.

C-mon! For alot of years i watched joyce, creflo, kenneth, that whole oral roberts crew. john haggee was one of my fav's,
No wonder you don't' see Joyce Meyers as a false teacher.

I believe we should all be sober and vigilant in our walk with Christ, and most especially with how HIS Word is being taught to others. Most people (Christian or not), being completely absorbed with their wants and needs, their hopes and dreams, and their current personal struggles that become more real to them than our Almighty and Everlasting Father GOD and KING, fall easy prey to teachings focused on making them "feel good" and gain prosperity in this life.

True, our LORD's blessings truly abound for those who are HIS. Any true believer is certainly overwhelmed and filled with a humbling sense of awe for our GOD's expression of love to us daily, even before we ever came to being. Papa GOD truly, deeply, loves us so!!!

But we are not to focus on gaining these so-called blessings from our LORD. We are called to seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness, and to let HIM take care of everything else in our lives, adding to us all things as HE sees fit, according to HIS perfect sovereign will. Reminding us, too, not to worry or be mindful about our so-called needs, even the desires of our hearts. For when we focus and give our all to HIM, HE will provide for it all.

Matthew 6:25-34 King James Version (KJV)

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Psalm 37:3-5 King James Version (KJV)

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Our Awesome GOD has got us completely covered, yes. But Satan finds ways to still get to us. And get to us, he shall, if we stray from our devotion to GOD and HIS Holy Word. And if we let our human nature and lusts get the better of us.

The enemy will not sit idly by. He hates us humankind with perfect hate. He will do everything to deceive us, and lead us astray. And he will try to take as many souls with him to Hell. And how does he do that? By tickling our ears, and making us feel good about ourselves and life, without GOD in the picture. And he does this using false teachers. People who profess to be Christian, and yet teach a different gospel, focused on Prosperity and Blessings.

As a Christian, we think we know better. We'll say "If GOD's not part of the picture, I don't want to have anything to do with it!!!"

But what if they, the False Teachers, claim that this is what GOD is telling you to take to heart? To believe that all Christians should strive to feel good, be rich, and live the dream life that most people covet and aspire for? Saying it's not wrong to desire these, and that we are entitled to these so-called riches and blessings?

There is nothing wrong about claiming our LORD's blessed promises to us. HE is, after all, fashioning us to believers who completely trust in HIS goodness, faithfulness, mercy, strength, grace and love for us HIS saints through faith in Christ Jesus. But if we start treating HIM like a bank in the sky, or a sugar daddy, or a vanity mirror, expecting HIM to do everything to make us feel good about ourselves, and be happy and rich, demanding or "conning" HIM to do our bidding, reciting key verses and praying special prayers for HIS blessings to come pouring down upon us....then I think we terribly mistaken. I don't think we see nor treat GOD as truly the GOD of our lives, but instead, the WORLD.

1 John 2:15-17 King James Version (KJV)

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Let us strive, instead, to seek and to love our Holy LORD with all that we are. We owe EVERYTHING to HIM, and in HIM we have all things. Let us not be blinded and sidetracked by our earthly desires and burdens. Let us be careful not to be deceived. Let us be wise and have discernment that comes from our GOD and KING, who tells us to ask and seek after these gifts that we may receive them from HIM. Let us take care of one another, and love each other with a true GODly and Holy love. Let's do that by spreading the TRUE Gospel and Doctrine of Christ, and to call out the False Teachers who pretend to be one of us!!!

These people as you point out are my brothers and sisters and deserve the same respect I am giving you. And I know them personally!
You obviously have a personal stake in these people. You probably like to watch them or quote them often? however, if you'd unbiasedly investigate these people you would come to the same conclusion.

How about David Wilkerson? is he a false teacher?

The truth is, Joyce Meyer isn't a pastor, and whether she's a Christian is between her and God. What she is...

She's a deistic motivational speaker. Wait, make that a deistic self-esteem speaker. Wait, she's a drug dealer. A drug dealer hooks you on promises of feeling better, but actually a drug dealer keeps you feeling horrible so that you keep hoping according to their promises. A popular movement in today's church is for Christians to dwell on what sinners they are (Satan loves that!), no matter how much and how sincerely you might repent (which isn't recommended by drug dealers, in the first place). And, the drug dealer keeps selling you a little bit of their drugs for a temporary fix, that ends with you worse than before. "God want to heal you of poverty and illness..."

This is not a joking matter and to reduce it to such shows me where you are. This is kingdom work its simple really be careful who you put you mouth on. Or your words as you will give an account for them. If you know anything about our Lord and its seems you do then you know he is a gentleman and teaches us his ways. The statements being made are not his ways!
I'm going to have to talk to my doc about the pills he's prescribed for me. Yours are clearly much stronger.

She's a false teacher. It's not even her strategy to be a good pastor. How can I be too harsh? Have read how Jesus spoke to the pharisees, who were mostly far better than Joyce Meyer? He called them vipers and tombs. That's what Meyer is, a viper and a butter-coated tomb, going about making others twice the children of Hell that she is. There's no excuse and no defense of any pastor who knowingly utters one falsehood in front of his audience, let alone one who bends every doctrine to tickle the ears of his sheep and bring glory to himself.

Joyce Meyer has no business preaching, yet to her, it's all business. Get the behind me, Satan. Enough of this inexcusable objection to someone objecting to false teachers.

Being a Christian requires one to sometimes hold restraint on words, on accusations, actions and how we carry out ourselves... False teacher or not, truth of the matter is, many people have come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and saviour.... I'm not saying agree with her approach or her teachings but be cautious of what you say and how you say it... I don't think it is God's intent for us to attack one another and your reference to Christ calling the Pharisees vipers, understand that He was blameless(unlike us) so He can go ahead and label us whatever her may. You and I, we are sinners and false teachers, adulterers, liars, thieves, murderers.... a sin is a sin but we are not to judge one another or speak condemnation on our brothers or sisters.... We are called to be different, to display love in ways that the world may not agree with... As I said in my previous comments, if you have a problem with someone, before you even expose them like Ham did to his father Noah, call them aside, remind them of the God we serve and counsel them but don't think or assume that what you say or what you think is right because you could possibly be wrong....

here is my main problem with all these statements. your personal opinion is in no way a fact of any matter only an opinion. no one can say who God has called or for what reasons. The word clearly tells us let the wheat and tare grow together God will do the separation. There is a lot of ignorance to scripture even for people who speak against any of Gods servants in any capacity.
The word says if you have an ought against your brother and I'm sure sister that you go to them and if they don't receive you take a witness and go back if they still don't receive you then shake the dust from your feet and move on. I see no one ever making a comment I contacted so and so with a problem I have with their teaching! It did not say bash them or give personal opinions. It is so sad that none of you realize folks on cc do the same to each of us each day.
Why then if many are so spiritual don't you get this truth. Keep your mouth and typed words off of your brothers and sisters and pray for them the prince of the power of the air often manipulates words that are typed to distort their meaning this is a fact most mean something else when typing some mean exactly what they are typing I'm not the judge but I am wise enough not to put my mouth on what I really don't know.
As for trying to determine scripture that too is a sticky issue all don't read the same bible or have the same understanding. Here is a thought what if and this is just an example. What if Joyce,Kenneth,Joel are right about their teachings and all the rest wrong or just don't have the same insight yet then what? This reminds me of the people yelling crucify him crucify him.
As a pastor it bothers me that folks opinions even when ignorant and obviously carnal and ungodly receive so many people in agreement makes you wonder or at least it makes me wonder. Just a thought.

I completely agree with you! I can pick out supposed heresies and ignorant statements that just about every preacher has said. THIS is the real "judging" that most Christians fall into. Stop accusing your brothers and sisters in Christ. Leave that to satan.

If Jesus didn't set the example, you'd say we shouldn't do it because Jesus didn't do it. If Jesus did it, you say he's blameless so we shouldn't do what he does. Jesus isn't the only one in the Bible that called out false preachers, I've never leveled half the charges against even the worst false preachers as Jesus leveled. We have more of these new-ageish false preachers than ever before. If they're really bringing people to Christ, why is America further from Christ than ever before?

Well at least Jesus called it to there face and not behind closed doors...

Eventually every tongue will confess and every knee will bow down...

You're not Jesus not even close just go back and look at your words and the tone of your words and ask if someone was speaking of your mother this way would it mean anything to you?

And so you got a mandate from Jesus himself to even further that gap by attacking and speaking against your sister even if she is wrong in your eyes? What Jesus is that? Is it another Jesus sounds like it to me? Read between the lines on that one Jamal!

Romans 16:17-18 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

2 Peter 2:3 In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.

Joyce Meyer does not serve God and it would be contrary to God's word for me to believe she is my sister. And, those of you who defend need to examine yourselves. It is the work of Satan to oppose calling out of false teachers.

Joyce Meyers teaches that Jesus stopped being the Son of God.
This is heresy. and if anyone disagrees then I ask for ONE verse that backs up this claim.
just one....

Everything Joyce Meyers says is off. No, her defenders aren't going to back that up. The best you get from people in error are verses ripped out of context, which even in that state, don't really back up their false doctrine.

Joyce Meyers is unqualified to be a pastor because she has no theological training. And, she has never gained this knowledge on her own. I can't reconcile the idea of any man of God being satisfied with a biblically ignorant pastor. But, it's not mere ignorance I accuse her of. It's deceit, telling people what they want to hear, false and damaging doctrine, so they'll hand over their money.

Why would she say Jesus stopped being the son of God? In that case, it's not to get anyone's money, it's just an attempt to understand what she's heard from other half-baked preachers. Another thing I hate is ignorant people passing of their own speculation or understanding as God-given fact.

Just read a few of the very negative and sad comments here on this thread about Joyce Meyer. I can say you folks have NO idea about Joyce Meyer. What she says and what you interpreted she said and meant are VERY different things. Based on the (few) times you listen to her and lack of real interest in what she has REALLY said vs what you "think" she said. You read like biting nasty children against one who is not here to defend themselves. I also enjoy the amplified Bible and the way some of you interpreted that is another example of lack of understanding and or taking the time to understand. It's called knee jerk reaction.

When people come into a topic with minds already made up there is basically ONLY immature judgments spewing out your fingers onto the keyboard on onto the posts for all to read.

I've been a fan of Joyce for many years and believe she is anointed by the Lord and used to lead many to Christ as well as edify the body of Christ. It's sad that so many of you have nothing but distain for a fellow sister in Christ who has been to places of service that many of us will never be able to go to.

She and those like her who are on tv or radio are subject to the worlds judgment by the very association of the name of Jesus. How well would any of us do in the same situation? I dare say not very well at all. God calls people into His service and the Lord prospers their ministry as He uses them. He gives the increase. Don't envy your sister because God has blessed her. God has blessed us because He loves us and then we are to BE a blessing to others. For the furtherance of His kingdom and for the many souls that still need to be saved.

What is very sad is 'how' you take many years of a persons life and in a few short sentences judge and condemn with your cutting/slicing/dicing words actually seeking to hurt their reputation! I'll take Joyce Meyer over that ANY day. And so should anyone who reads your ugly words because they really are ugly and slanderous. But at times like this I'm reminded of the words of Stephen when he said "Father forgive them because they don't know what they are doing" you guys really don't. :(

You are mistaken. I have taken the time to understand. My understanding stretches way back to the Received texts, the codex vaticanus and the codex sinaiticus and all of the changes the modern translations (I should say transcriptions) have accepted since Westcott and Hort. But as I said in the OP that is another discussion. Have you done any research? or was your comment a "knee jerk reaction?"

Hello Mr. Deadtosin, no, I have not read (the "codex vaticanus" or the "codex sinaiticus" and all the changes of other modern translations accepted since "Westcott and Hort") yikesooo . But I do read the KJV and the NIV and the NAS and the Amplified Bible. So it is not a knew jerk reaction on my part to say that the amplified Bible is a good translation.
