I watched a video recently that changed my mind on the type of Bible I should keep as the over-riding bible authority. I have an NIV, ESV, Gideon's new testament, NKJV, KJV and am picking up a n Amplified Holy Bible tomorrow. I will probably use one of the most accurate to the King James, for quick reading, but highlight thereof area's and swap back to KJV. But will try to stick with the old English in the KJV until I get confused.

I watched Pastor Steven L Anderson's, New World Order movie. Just under 2 hours long, very interesting. Puts potentially the NIV, ESV, NKJV and more to shame, depending on version's and errors of course.

So, (1) Have you watched the video? If not,
watch it first, please.

(1b) Did the video change your mind?

(2) What Bible do you support?

(3) Why do you support it?

At the bottom of your post, please put final Bible choice in caps, alone, so it can be seen as a tally. Thanks.

KJV
I never wacth that video, but I notice some version are not Acurate.

All of the following are found either 37 times in KJB or in 37 verses or both.

Saviour; ark of God; ark of the Lord; churches; his word; the cup; ministered; crucified; corner; branch; miracle(s); authority; shall hear; shall rise; wine (NT); grapes; manifest; treasure; the apostles;

Counting from Mark 1:1 to Revelation.

"the beginning" found in 37 verses
"the gospel" found in 74 (37x2) verses
"Jesus Christ" found in 185 (37x5) verses
"the Son" (case sensitive) found in 111 (37x3) verses
"Son of God" (case sensitive0 found in 37 verses

Anyone want to calculate the chance of this being random? This is one verse and I can tell you that the entire King James Bible exhibits a pattern of 7's and 37's. Try the same thing with Matthew 1:1; John 1:1; John 18:37; 1 John 5:7; 3 John 1:12 (the 222nd occurrence of the word "truth" in the KJB.
The bottom line is whether the King James Translation of the Bible was translated accurately enough to make it a suitable translation for studying the Bible in an era when precise accuracy is demanded by careful readers of the Bible—and the answer to that question is definitively, “No!”

The answer should have been "YES!"

Do you really believe that the King James translators were inept and incapable of discerning the true Scriptures from the false?

And if you want "precise accuracy" you will note (if your remove your biased spectacles) that only the KJB has the inserted words of the translators clearly separated from the actual words in the text, which are provide with a word-for-word translation (unlike dynamic equivalence in the NIV and other paraphrases).

What you and others of similar persuasion also seem to forget is that a deliberate HOAX was perpetrated on the Christian world. It was like removing the correct label of POISON from a bottle of medicine and replacing it with a label saying ELIXER --drink it all up.

Yes. They were not geniuses over all history. They had very limited sources, medieval knowledge and lived on isolated islands.
They also worked for English king, i.e. for the world.

The center of biblical manuscripts was in the East. The center of education was in continental Europe. England was not the top of the world.

This remark shows that you know absolutely nothing about the genius and the outstanding scholarship of the King James translators. Yes, they were legitimately subject to their king (as the Scripture commands) but even more importantly they were in total subjection to the King of kings, and their piety and devotion is second to none. Not to mention their impeccable scholarship and command of all the necessary languages of the original Scriptures.

It might be time to do some serious unbiased research into this matter, instead of reiterating negative propaganda.

Its good that you know them personally and not from the KJV only propaganda.

Did they even know that Earth is rotating around the sun and not the opposite? You should not overestimate the knowledge and formal education of those days.

Do you really believe that the King James translators were inept and incapable of discerning the true Scriptures from the false?
In the early 1600’s, translators of the Bible had virtually nothing to work with except the biblical texts themselves. That is, they had no Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek concordances—and not even anything close to an exhaustive concordance to other translations of the Bible into English, German, French, Dutch—or any other language! They had no Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek lexicons—and only exceedingly poor Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek grammars. Many of the Hebrew words in the Masoretic text of the Old Testament that they translated from were found only once in that text—and, therefore, they had nearly no contextual information to use to determine the meaning of the words—and therefore, they guessed! NONE of them had any formal education in Koine Greek, and in the early 1600’s the study of ancient Greek grammar was in its infancy! During the past 400 plus years, huge strides have been made in the study of the biblical languages—especially in Greek now that we have thousands of writings in Koine Greek to study and analyze. The translators of the KJV had none except for the New Testament—and they were not even aware that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek—a Greek dialect that they did not even know existed! (They mistakenly believed that the New Testament was written in what they called, ‘Holy Ghost Greek’).

And if you want "precise accuracy" you will note (if your remove your biased spectacles) that only the KJB has the inserted words of the translators clearly separated from the actual words in the text, which are provide with a word-for-word translation (unlike dynamic equivalence in the NIV and other paraphrases).
The ASV and the NASB place such words in italic type, as does the KJV.

What you and others of similar persuasion also seem to forget is that a deliberate HOAX was perpetrated on the Christian world. It was like removing the correct label of POISON from a bottle of medicine and replacing it with a label saying ELIXER --drink it all up.
Everyone, and there are millions of us, who reads the Bible itself rather than relying on translations of it knows for an incontrovertible fact that KJOism is a hoax perpetuated by gullible and ridiculously ignorant persons who place so little value on the Bible that they have never bothered to learn how to read it!
