A superlative probably from G2192 (in the sense of contiguity); farthest, final (of place or time): - ends of, last, latter end, lowest, uttermost.

According to the doctrine you are promoting about the LAST TRUMP in 1Cor.15:52,
it would be like saying that after the LAST letter of the alphabet, Z ,comes A.

Thanks for posting the Greek definition for the word last.. Because its important to note it says the farthest one , when it says last. The only farthest one out I know of, is the seventh .

I think we know what it says, because you wrote it already before. I was just shortening it because it takes up a lot of space, to repeat some ones quote fully if there is a lot to it.

I actually was not intending to post the following in my first post "According to the doctrine you are promoting about the LAST TRUMP in 1Cor.15:52,
it would be like saying that after the LAST letter of the alphabet, Z ,comes A."
That's why it is ever so important to proof read before we hit the submit reply button even if we are in a rush. :D

When is the first trump? And, what happens with the first & the last trump?

A trump is the sound of the trumpet.
A trumpet infers a "ram's horn." They did not have trumpets in those days.

The first trumpet was in Exodus 19, when the angel came down from heaven to give the law to the Israelites.

At the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound the verse says. There are words and terms for a reason, "first and last", "first and the second"- example Jer 50:17 kjv. Scripture speaks of sounds in terms such as, "voice of the trumpet" , "sound of the trumpet", Rev 1:10-11, Rev 4:1 kjv.

What is the doctrine, according to the revelation of the mystery, found only in the apostle Paul's epistles.
The last trumpet is when the Son returns for the final time to gather the church. It will be accompanied by the sound of a ram's horn.

Uh, for one thing, this is yet future.

Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

The Day of the Lord has not come to pass yet.

The second point really stumps me...

Rev 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

So here is the Creator of the universe (100 billion galaxies at least, black holes and all) and the best He can muster is a ram's horn? You have got to be kidding me.

Why look for complexity when it doesn't exist? A ram's horn sounds good to me.

Luk 18:17 "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

It's just one trumpet.
One church
One spirit
One seal
One trumpet
One vial

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Angels sound the trumpets...

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Rev 8:8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.

Rev 8:10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

Rev 8:12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.

Rev 9:1 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit.

Rev 9:13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

Rev 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

This one is blown at the return of Christ adn the frist resurrection.

i agree that the 7th is blown by the angel it signals Jesus return and a vial in the air but it does not say it is the last trump
blown by Jesus
Jesus blows the last trump which is the calling forth the dead in Jesus

If persons wil sit and think for a while they would see it

Its like they are saying that the 7th trump blown by the angel signals Jesus return, last plague and the angel calls forth the dead

The bible says Jesus comes with the trump of God and the saints are changed at this trump which is the last trump

OK, if we have seven trumpets numbered 1, 2, 3...7

Which one is the last one? Number 2?

since the book of revelation deals with the coming of Christ, his kingdom and the judgment,
can you find your "last trump" in the book of revelation?

Or can you find the eight angel sounding the trump of God?
[[Rev 8:2]] KJV And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

They stood before God:
Who's trumpet are they?
Who gave the trumpet to the angels?

There are seven trumpets: they are not numbered:
There are seven angels who sounded the trumpets given to them.
The 1st angel sounded his trumpet
the 2nd angel his trumpet
the 3rd... And finaly the seventh angel sounded the last of the trumpet given to them.

If the first trumpet was the giving of the law... then wouldn't you think the last trumpet is the giving of grace - the New Testament? The last trumpet (New Testament) gathers the church.

"7" means complete... 7 days of creation, 7 churches , 7 candlesticks etc.
