God is not the type of God that did not give each of us the ability to interpret scripture.. he would not be a very loving God if he did that..

I love traditions like lent. I did not grow up in a liturgical church. I didn't grow up in a traditional denomination with lots of religious traditions. As I grew older I learned of lots of things that people coming out of those sorts of backgrounds often shun. I think people who grow up with these traditions are sometimes "forced" into them as necessary religious practice. There are some things which should be regular practice for us, but there are also things that lose their meaning when we schedule them with such precision. I love fasting, but I'm not pressured by a church call to fast. I believe God will call me to fast if I am to fast. Im not obsessed with Advent and Lent, but I do really like to celebrate them as a change in pace for my life. Celebrating Lent is not wrong if Jesus is the focus. Getting so caught in the routine that it's no longer a celebration is where we go wrong.

Just go spend a little time in the bible study chat room here. If there are 30 people in there then you will hear 30 different interpretations of the same scripture, all thinking that their interpretation is correct. That equates to blatant misinterpretation, false teaching, and division in the body of Christ. God gave authority to interpret scripture to his Church, not you. You are doing it wrong, as evidenced by all of your posts on this board.
I didn't said that they are infallible,i said that u r infallible in your interpretations of the Bible and,man,u have denied 2000years of Christianity by denying Holy Fathers.They were many,and they were together,in teaching and their fallible and co-correcting of wrongly views and establishing of the Truth in the Holy Spirit.

I guess one of those so called 30 (I have never seen 30;. it is usually 2 or three. Yet again you like to make things worst than they really are to support your own belief) interpretations would be the roman interpretation.

lol. thanks for your opinion. But truth can not cause the bible to contradict.. Thats how you know if you did it right. God gave things so we can know. And that has never been history or men!
No, They were self centered. If you did not believe the way they did, they killed you, Jailed you, Took all your money and property, or sent you to a deserted island so you could do them no harm.
