Satan and his horde do not come to the believer in Christ and say "Sin all you want" because no one would fall for such a lie.

Instead they come
as
"ministers of righteousness".

They want us to live by our own D.I.Y. self-righteousness/holiness so that we will be not be depending on what Christ has done for us by grace through faith alone for salvation.

This cuts us off from receiving the grace of God in our lives.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

[SUP]15 [/SUP] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. ( notice that is "their" works )

This is what satan is really after...this is why he has false teachers in our midst.

1 Peter 1:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The prodigal son was an example of a son coming back to the father.
And about another son that did not. But both were still sons.

And the son, that got baptized, worked his fingers to the bone, did "mostly" what the Father told him........never returned to the Father.........but he was still a son.

I think this thread has gone on long enough. I would ask you all to take a good look at some of the language, attacks, insults and misquotes those have done on this Thread. We call ourselves Christians , but some of the thing I have seen have not been Christ like.

If that is not you then don't worry about it because This doesn't apply to you. But The BDF should be a place where those who want to speak on a topic and hopefully support their doctrine, teaching, position on the thread they posted.

However, doing that WILL NOT ensure those will agree with your understanding. I CC is to banned everyone that you or I disagree with then we would only be a few here. a mod and two or three :).

can one lose their salvation ? is it required to be baptized? or is one not saved unless they are baptized?

IF you go back and read the many post All of these question have been answered. The Problem is after answering many have also attacked, insulted, and used language that is not appropriate. If you want mod's to start banning and not give long suffering and give a mod time to pm the person to which a complaint has been filed , then I must be fair to those who are in CC and do to you what you are asking me to do to them when you are breaking rules.

Please know there is no way we can fully correct ever issue or problem you have with someone you have made it personal with. They don't agree move on the post you provide in the context should be clear enough for those to see your biblical position. After they pray I hope and ask God and continue to study the right answer will be made known to them IF we answer in LOVE and truth. God word will Prevail my brothers and sister :). If you have and issue please give the mods time to work it out and yes their are two sides to ever submission. You insult then make a Complaint and the person you complained about shows us your actions. You will be held accountable too.

Thank you for your post, I think many of you provided very good arguments on what you believe the bible says about the thread . I say Good job to you.

God Bless CS1

Roaring Kitten, I can't find your post in order to respond to it. I want you to know that I have absolute love and respect for everyone here. You can't hear my voice through text. Sometimes I cap all letters in words to make a point, not to yell or sound harsh. I'm sorry someone hurt your feelings, hope it wasn't me.

I am here in love, truth is love. I do not want to force my beliefs on anyone, I want everyone to think for themselves. All I want is others to consider what I see as biblical truth in an attempt to save people from false doctrines that lead to destruction. If anything I am here because I genuinely care about people going to heaven.

Not to excuse the behavior at all, but this happens way more often than not. And not Just with Biblical topics. It's a shame but nothing is being done.

I agree that the behavior is not Christ-like that does not lend itself for good healthy discussion and there are some well-known consistent revilers but let's give the mods time to sort things out. We can trust the Holy Spirit inside of the mods to do what He wants them to do.

There is a time to extend grace and a time for getting rid of offenders. We can leave this decision in the hands of the Lord and the mods as they are the ones God put in place with authority in these matters.

Maybe because when you're actively baptizing it doesn't need to be mentioned.
It does show Jesus actively baptizing here

John 3:22-26

[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
[22] After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
[23] And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
[24] For John was not yet cast into prison.
[25] Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.
[26] And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

These even point this out to John, which is followed up by the this here

John 4

[1] When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
[2] (
Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
[3] He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

Unless some folks believe Jesus disciples were baptizing the people with the Holy Ghost and not water there?

That might be considered a safer assumption to some.

Being born again (baptism) means becoming spiritually alive. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless eat of the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood you have no life in you." And He said, "Let the dead bury the dead." He meant let the spiritually dead bury the physically dead.

The bible says Heaven is God's dwelling place, and that earth is His footstool. The earth is temporary, He will get rid of all physicality.
sometimes as we learn more of scripture our understanding is increased, mine was and is and so shall yours.

I didn't mean to sound unkind so please forgive me if I did.

But grace isn't Christ. Christ saves through grace. Grace of itself does not save because it's not GOD.
Grace is not of GOD???? You know better than that, you child of God. You are just shooting from the hip reactively, Brother :)

Hebrews 2:1-3...

"We MUST pay the most CAREFUL attention, therefore, to what we have heard, SO THAT we do not DRIFT AWAY. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE IF we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him." Hebrews 2:1-3

This is written to Christians who are already saved, as a warning that they could lose their salvation if they are not careful.
no, this was written to Jewish beleivers hence the name of the book "Hebrews"

It was written in regard to Temple sacrifices
