wow I am impressed, I fell way behind in this thread but so many good replies have been spoken. You know I never read the books but I saw the movie a wrinkle in time and in that movie they refer to love as a rhythm and if you didn't know this there is a distinct rhythm that the entire universe makes when scientists discovered it it has the same Rhythm sounded all over the universe but is so loud that you have to listen to it with much altered sound volume.
When God spoke the universe into being he did so in his love and so this Rhythm can easily be seen as the very voice he spoke into being, and all throughout every story every book every movie the power of love as cheesy as it may seem is always the most profound and most power force there is.

Many see love in both love as the human heart knows of and the love that comes from God alone as different things but the actual depth of it and the actuallity of what it is seems to be far far more than what we can comprehend. And apparently even the universe itself sings it.

The fruit of the Spirit per Gal 5:22-23 is produced by obedience to the Spirit.

In other words: the fruit of the Spirit is primarily about one's personal
conduct.

For example "peace" can be produced by keeping a civil tongue in one's
head. Failure to keep the peace disqualifies people passing themselves off as
children of God.

Matt 5:9 . . Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God.

For example: "You can toss your 'self-help' books in the trash" is an
unfriendly remark that provokes conflict and/or annoys people and makes
them uncomfortable. A remark like that exemplifies an attitude unwilling to
practice diplomacy, i.e. to season their speech with salt as per Col 4:6

Gal 6:7a . . Don't be deceived into thinking God is a silly old fool.

A silly old fool is a senior citizen that people know they can mistreat and/or
take advantage of without fear of complaint, resistance, or reprisal.

People in our day and age are easily persuaded that God is harmless and
that the Old Testament's version of God is obsolete, i.e. no longer someone
to fear since Jesus came along. But as God was capable of withholding
blessing back then; He still is.

"A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his flesh, will, of
the flesh reap corruption; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the
Spirit will reap eternal life." (Gal 7b-8)

The Greek word for "corruption" is phthora (fthor-ah') which means decay;
viz: decadence; which is saying that when Christians make a habit of
indulging the propensities of their base nature while refusing to comply with
the Spirit's wishes, they quite naturally become the worse for it.

FAQ: According to John 3:36, John 5:24, John 6:47, and 1John 5:13, all true
believers currently possess eternal life. If so, then what is meant by reaping
it?

A: Eternal life refers to the divine nature spoken of at 2Pet 1:4. If you can
understand what human nature is, then you have a pretty good handle on
divine nature.

Although all believers have eternal life (a.k.a. the divine nature) it is not
within their power to either activate it or deactivate it. This is the part of
Christianity where one's personal conduct makes a very big difference.

"If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who
raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who indwells you.

. . .So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live
according to the flesh-- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must
die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you
will live." (Rom 8:11-13)

"by the Spirit" simply means conducting one's self in accord with His
instructions; and many of them are very explicit so there's no mistaking
what He expects from us.

"you must die" refers to deactivation of the divine nature. The Spirit will
never take eternal life away from those who have it; but He will, and he
does, take action to power it down if and/or whenever their conduct
becomes habitually unacceptable.
