I ever said that God didn’t allow it. God has allowed many things to happen to test us. We are told to use discernment.

GOD WOULD NEVER ALLOW HIS INSPIRED WORD TO BE CORRUPTED BY MAN FOR ANY REASON......

That means He protects the Written Word from being corrupted...........so, you gonna have to find something else to post about.

By the by, as long as you are ripping out verses from the Gospel of Mark, how about the OTHER 65 Books? You got a playlist of which you want to edit?

John, it really does not matter how we have come to understand the word hades in our language. The question is, what does the word mean in its original language? Hades NEVER means hell. Hades and hell are two entirely different states and are represented by two entirely different words in the Greek. The KJV has simply missed it.
Explain hell? Is hell even in your bible? Btw, I speak English. I do not speak Greek and I doubt anyone on this thread does either.

Are these dead in torment as in hell? Or just resting like the RCC would like you to believe?
The parable of the Rich man and Lazarus certainly gives us the impression that hades is separated into two division; one of rest for the redeemed and one of torment for the lost. Both are represented as a conscious state in the unseen realm which is what the word ᾅδην means - the unseen.

Abraham's bosom and hell or how you call it hades, I get that.

What is hell then in the Bible? How does it differ from your hades?

ESV Relelation 20
13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

ESV Matthew 16:18
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Is it hell or hades? What's the difference? Is this the same word translated? Make up your mind.
Make up my mind?

You will go to any length to hold up your idol won’t you?

You judged someone saying “hell” was to harsh a word, and now you do this,

Get real man, you hurt your own case actimg this way.

I do not believe in a completely perfect inspired english bible, so your example falls flat on its face.

The ESV uses hades and hell as the same thing? Which is it?

Hades is the place where the dead apart from christ are at right now, awaiting the time they will be delivered to christ for judgment

Hell is the place they will be sent, it is a place of eternal seperation after the final judgment.

Its not that hard. Why do people make it so difficult?

Hades was two parts until Jesus descended to hades and took those in paradise, Abraham’s bosom to heaven with Him after declaring His victory over death. Now hades is just the place of torment for those awaiting judgement. Hell is where they go after the judgement.

Who cares what the esv says?

I am not arguing that the esv is inspired,

So again, your proof or reasoning falls flat.

I know that already. You rely on your intellect to tell you what to believe and what to discard as untruth from the Bible. I can't believe that the same God who gave us His words, told us to live by them, and He did not preserve them for us to live by today? Does God have some explaining to do?

Well, you would be wrong about that. There are number of people on this site that are quite proficient in Greek. One of which is a scholar in NT Greek, I will not mention his name. I am certainly no scholar but I can at least read the language well enough to work out my own translation of the text if it does not get too complicated.

Also, the original language is the standard for determining the legitimacy of any translation, not the KJV.

Does your bible call this place of eternal "separation" hell or lake of fire?

Nope, but you like to think that, and if that allows you to continue in that idol worship. So be it.

Lol, whatever, this reasoning is old, as are your arguments,

Trying to compair the greek language with the english language is like compairing a trigonometry with basic math, they are that far apart in terms of precision and depth

To think you can take a basic math book and understand trig, is the same as saying one can take an english language and properly interpret a greek text word for word, its impossible,

So, you don't know the difference?

Work out your own translation? Is that what God wanted us to do? Don't you think our God could actually inspire a translation as He has done many times throughout the bible?
