The language of shadows is used in both cases, which reflects the relative importance of their nature to the New Covenant believer. Individuals without the presupposition that the Old Covenant elements of the Sabbath and annual festivals still apply under the New Covenant can recognize that.
the feast of unleavened bread
Jesus keep the feast

Luke 22:1 (KJV)
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called (the Passover).

Matthew 26:17 (KJV)
Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him,
Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

Mark 14:12 (KJV)
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him,
Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

-new testament commands us to observe [a feast day].

22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it,
and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks,
he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new [testament],
which is shed for many.
25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine,
until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

-Jesus changed the simbles , not the passover holy day occurance.
it still only happened once a year, no more sacrifices required, he is our priest.

1 Corinthians 5:7
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.
For even [Christ] our passover is [sacrificed] for us:

-passover was once a year, because of this act of Christs

1 Corinthians 5:8
Therefore let us [keep the feast],

-bible tells use to keep [a feast], then he goes on to say how to keep it
but he said to keep [a] feast day. called a memorial forever.

not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness;
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

-deciples keep [feast of unleavened bread] after Christs death

Acts 12:3 (KJV)
And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.
(Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

Acts 20:6 (KJV)
And we sailed away from Philippi after (the days of unleavened bread),
and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

-now [the feast] of unleavened bread, was [the night to be most remembered]

“Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them
[pagan religious customs] … and that thou inquire not after their gods

people do not want to put sin out of there lives and believe a lie.

It's pretty obvious. I won't even elaborate on this one.

The Pharisees saw Jesus do miracles right in front of their face and still denied Him. You read Scriptures that are plain and still deny their truth. It's a heart issue.
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know t
he mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

if you can give me a verse that said the sabbath day is Jesus now,?
not just he will give rest,he said he came to bring a sword .

God wrote his laws and statues on my heart

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

As I've said before, Jesus was a Jew under the Law, and kept the Old Covenant. Paul and other Jewish Christians continued to do the same thing as a matter of preference and witness value, not compulsion. Gentiles were not required to observe these elements of the Old Covenant.

There's nothing surprising here.

I believe it was a metaphorical reference to the true meaning of the Holy Days.

In addition, there may have been Jewish Christians there who were observing the days. As I've said, Jewish Christians continued to observe elements of the Old Covenant.

The Old Covenant was between God and ancient Israel, so the continued assertion that it applied to Gentiles is an error that was addressed in the book of Galatians, as well as Acts 15.

When was the Sabbath created? When was Marriage invented. When was it wrong to murder, and steel, and take the Lords name in vain? All at Creation. When did God make the covenant with Abraham? and when were the 10 laws given? The law is spiritual not a set of rules for a special group for a special time. They were the same from the beginning but given the people in different degrees at different times. Jesus said if you are mentally commit adultery you have broken the law and that was a bit deeper then given at Sinai but the same law. And Jesus also said love your brother as yourself which is a summery of the the last six. The Sabbath was made for man at creation and is to be a blessing and time to know your creator and Lord. It was made a commandment because people started to forget it (remember the Sabbath). Sure we are not under the law because grace abounds, but it isn't an excuse to make void the law. When it comes to all the ceremonial laws, i don't keep them because they were given to point to Jesus and now that Jesus has come i look directly to Him. Don't say the Sabbath was a ceremonial Law because God choose to make it part of the TEN for a reason, It was given to MAN all men at creation to be set aside and made holy, even before sin entered.

There is no evidence anyone observed the Sabbath prior to Moses and it was a sign of the Old Covenant, like circumcision.

A sign is not a moral absolute. The Sabbath most certainly is ceremonial or ritualistic in nature.

This is fully described in the book Sabbath in Christ by Dale Ratzlaff if anyone is open minded enough to read it. If they are not, feel free to step into the whacky world of Sabbathkeepers, many of whom deny other core doctrines of Christianity such as the full deity of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, and claim they are the true Church.

I spent over 10 years as one of them. I wouldn't recommend it.

I notice that the topic of Matthew 5:17-19 is coming up again. Here's a thread I wrote on this topic.

The major point is that these verses cannot be used to support Torah observance or the continuing applicability of the Mosaic Covenant as a whole, as we know that "jots and tittles" are not being observed anymore. In Ad70, the Temple was destroyed, and animal sacrifices ceased. Additionally, the Levitical Priesthood is no longer in effect, and there is no possible way of re-establishing it, as the geneology records have been destroyed and no Levites can be decisively identified (the records were stored in rooms in the Temple).

Obviously I know Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic Covenant at his death..that is why the veil in the Temple was torn in two. My remarks are meant to point out that those who claim the Mosaic Covenant is in effect are in error, and that NO ONE observes the Mosaic Covenant despite their claims. They observe their own pick-and-choose, cafeteria plan version of it, and they don't even observe that perfectly.

I'd recommend reading ALL of Galatians, first alone, and then with a good commentary if necessary. I like the one called "Freedom in Christ" by Meno Kalisher. He is a Messianic Jew and observes Sabbath and festivals, but does not make claims that non-observers are in sin, or are unsaved because they aren't meeting the conditions of the Mosaic Covenant.

Also read Hebrews 7-8, Acts 15, II Corinthians 3, Hebrews 8-9, Romans 7:1-6, and Ephesians 2:13-15. Judaizers will attempt to modify the context of these verses to claim it is talking about something other than the Mosaic Covenant, but they plainly are referring to the Mosaic Covenant.

I spent over a decade of my life in a Judaizer cult and I don't recommend becoming involved with such individuals. There are a few groups who observe days and meat laws which I wouldn't classify as Judaizers because they don't claim others are in sin, but it's been my experience that most Judaizers claim non-observers are in sin, usually due to ignorance. Often, Judaizer groups also teach that Jesus isn't fully God, or deny the Trinity, or deny the writings of Paul, and use non-Biblical texts such as the Talmud. Their view of church history and Roman Catholicism reminds me of the National Enquirer (a sensationalist, ridiculous supermarket tabloid, for our international members). A lot of their views are reflected by Alexander Hislop's Two Babylons and other books which have been academically discredited, including the writings of Herbert Armstrong, the founder of the cultic group I was involved with.
