Yep I hear about salvation by faith for more than 50 years, but still there are 2 interpretation
1 by faith mean no matter what you do, as long as you believe Jesus (murder etc) you save, your work only deterrent your reward.

2. Faith mean obey His command to love God and other, mean you faith is not genuine if you not repent.
Just post the verse of scripture in stead of what others say, might be better for everyone

Amen. So let us not seek to serve the flesh any longer. Do you believe in the false teaching of total depravity? If so, that is why things are not adding up correctly for you.
I do not know of many doctrines that are out there, what is not adding up for me?

And.not belong to Jesus is not save.

Seem to me you not agree with the teaching it doesn't matter what you do, ex lust, murder etc, as long as you have faith you save, good work not save you.
“it doesn't matter what you do, ex lust, murder etc, as long as you have faith you save, good work not save you”

it matters very much what we do we have to face the judgement for what we do that’s why we have to repent now and get right so we can be forgiven and not have sin to answer for then but we will have reward as he promises This is part of having faith

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s how belief leads to repentance when we begin to acknowledge the truth when we begin to accept scripture like that from paul in Corinthians letter as the truth about sin and judgement it is actually showing us how to escape from satans trap and deception in the world

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You do not believe there are those in the flesh and those in the spirit?
I may have misunderstood. I thought you were saying that a person can have both the Sinful Nature and the Divine Nature at the same time . . . flip-flopping back and forth from Satan as the Father and God as the Father. Yep, I believe that there are those who walk in the Flesh, but I don't believe that a person has two Fathers. Whomever our Father is, that is the One in whom we will obey. We cannot serve two Masters. It is impossible.

Romans 8:9 NLT - "But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)"

everyone is commanded to make the choice and open their heart's door.
This statement shows that your understanding of the Bible, cover to cover, is most lacking. And because I don't have any inclination that you are willing to change your mind, it is a fruitless circle of communications.

See you in the next thread.

Okay, I see what you did and why you framed your question the way you did, You actually cut my words off, which further explained. Its a good thing not to do that to show more honesty when quoting others only to tell them no (to something they already do not agree with)

I said,

But when you quoted me you did this

And then basically said no
I'm sorry that you are offended. I never employed an intentional tactic of dishonesty.

Take care.

Im not offended that you did what you did I am just correcting you for doing that, it was just wrong to cut my sentence off and lecture me to the contrary when the part that was cut off explained was all.

I forgive you for doing it. Its not the first, or last time that might happen on a board I just need to say something before the back and forths lose sight of this. Its just best to nip it in the bud before we go anything further thats all.

Yes, We are to come to Jesus just as we are. We cannot wash away the stain of sin. Only the Bood of Jesus can do this.(y)

Yes, We are to love God and love our fellow man. When we stumble, all we need do is repent in a spirit of humility and meekness. Repentance is not a one time thing for the man of God.(y)

You seem to not understand that Jesus' Atonement is available to all. This is core doctrine. You can go no farther until you get this figured out. It is fundamental. It is basic. It is bedrock.

John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

So . . . I didn't do "it" on purpose. You know . . . I get it. There's so much anger, bitterness, and resentment at these sites, it's easy for a person to get their undies in a bunch.

It was an honest mistake, so you're not actually nipping anything in the bud. If perfection is expected of me, I am already a failure and you will be disappointed with me until one of us leaves this angry place.

Cheers.

I'm sorry . . . what sin did I commit . . . exactly? I'm not following you.
If I misquoted someone I would apologize, why is this especially difficult for you?

Then you are not sorry? Thats fine also, I still forgive you.

I'm confused. You just wrote:

"I accept your apology and forgive you."

I'm curious . . . what were you trying to do, there, to a Christian Brother? Is this a game for you?

I apologized for offending you and you didn’t accept it. Instead, you rambled on about my deficiencies, even though I had just sincerely apologized, going so wildly far as to say that I didn’t apologize, and yet still, that I had a problem with apologizing. At what point do I no longer take you seriously?

I apologize if I directed this at any particular member. It is directed to anyone who does not believe that Christ's Atonement is freely available to all. No hard feelings. Just Biblical bedrock truth.

In other word, you can't have faith and keep murder in the same time, am I correct?
