Why because if you did not begin in CHRIST JESUS understanding that HE died so that what was dead (we were all dead in our sins and separated from GOD) might be made alive to GOD in CHRIST than no amount of work to wash and sanctify oneself apart from the ONE who washes and makes clean before GOD will work
