No. I have no idea what the five senses is faith, is.
lol;)
Before a strawman appears, we are discussing post #49

Where does the faith we need to be born again come from?:)
Man is created with response-ability. That response-ability is what the bible calls ‘faith’. God initiates and solicits our response, and the response He solicits is always that of faith.
I mean the kind of believing that would be called "mental assent".

People In the world use this type of believing. They would not believe anything that they could not perceive with one or more of their five senses....see, taste, hear, smell or feel.

Okay. Well, I'm talking about real faith, not faith as the "world" might see it.

Let me help...

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh
and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

(Mat 16:16-17)
Yes, that is definitely a faith supernaturally engendered :)

Yes.
When JESUS said flesh and blood did not reveal this to you.He Is saying flesh only believes what It can perceive by Its senses, and thats not faith.

JESUS told doubting Thomas that Thomas believed because he had seen, but blessed Is he that have not seen and believes.

Doesn't help, but thanks.
No wonder you haven't a clue what supernatural faith is then.

I have heard testimony after testimony about the warming of the heart that Jesus brought.

This is the gift of faith, a connection with Christ, that you understand what He is talking about.
After reading what some write, until we meet the Lord we will never truly who has heard and who just thought they did.

Jesus says not to disturb the plants because it will cause harm to the good seed. So I say praise God for His blessing and giving us sight to see who he was in His death.

If you connect deep in your soul most of the complex theology falls away because you know He loves you. Walking in truth and righteousness is not hard when you know how to love, to forgive and forget all your enemies and praise you are saved, a sinner redeemed into eternity, Haleluyah, glory to His name, Praise Him.

Faith as small as a mustard seed......
I wasn't talking about size but source. Again...

Matthew 16:16-17 KJV
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 2:10,13-14 KJV
[10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

[13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them , because they are spiritually discerned.

I wanted to ask a question about faith.

When we were reborn, did we use a natural faith,a supernatural faith,or both natural faith and supernatural faith?

I know there are those on christian chat that are very helpful in helping us to be sure about these scriptures,so before i get into error,i just thought i better ask here first.

Ephesians 2:8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23:Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
what if someone were to say +++( If its not your own faith, then how do you get faith)?
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I was thinking that faith will come when you hear and understand the word of GOD.

Mark 4:15And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
I read this scripture today so I thought this was a time and place to use it. John 20:24-29 (the disciple Thomas- doubting and faithless concerning the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ unless he would see Jesus with his own eyes).

The passages speak of the difference between natural faith and supernatural faith. Jesus appeared and Thomas saw him, exclaiming "My Lord and my God." then Jesus said, "Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet believe."

Rm.10:9-10 We believe in our hearts and make confession with our mouths.
Rm.12:3 We have all received the measure of faith. Mrk.11:22 that we all may have faith in God.

Okay. The source of our faith. Thought we already covered that with Romans 10:17.

Romans 10:17 (NASB)

Except that faith there is speaking of our Christian faith and the ministry of which each of us has been given a “measure of". No one person is capable of expressing the total faith-expression of the Body of Christ, the Church. Which is why we need each other.

When you say response-abilty,Is that the same as saying, your ability to respond?
