brother I hope you are a good and honest pastor..and you serve and feed the flock of God...do you admit the many evident abuses that some religious leaders practice?
I hope he's a good pastor, shoulder level with the other elders serving without the exalted title and serving freely. A mouthful I know. Smile.

Matthew 20:25-28 ESV
25But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 26It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,[SUP]c[/SUP] 27and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,[SUP]d[/SUP] 28even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Ephesians 4:1-16 KJV

1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Grace, you are using scripture. That doesn't sit well with some here! Smile.

That is why I stated Pastors who are after God's heart. As I am a married Pastor I do not try to force anyone to submit to me in my house or in the church. I have learned that if you love them, teach them and treat them with the respect they deserve they will follow you willingly. But the post is about obeying your Pastors with the Bible clearly says to do.

Hebrews 13:17-18 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.[SUP] [/SUP]Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
1 Thess 5:12-13 [SUP] [/SUP]And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
Ephesians 4:11-14 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;[SUP] [/SUP]For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We are indeed to submit to sound teaching. However, we are not to submit to one who 'lords it over His heritage'.
Matt.20 Jesus made it clear that the gentile world had its pyramid, top down authorities, but He said to his own 'it shall not be so among you'.

God has not given to any man authority to perch themselves above others. In Matt. 23 Jesus said that if anyone exalts himself, like Diotrephes did in 3John, in this instance with a religious title, that God would humble them. Bring them down.

Thats the spirit of antichrist, to take the place of Christ as head. Isaiah 14. Lucifer exalted himself above the congregation and ever since he does the same through self exalted teachers/preachers and pastors that exalt themselves above the congregation.

That's not the humble servant that Christ set as an example. He came lowly, washing feet ...without charging cash.

Interesting how the only one that God told to lift themselves up and demand tithes is the pastor. God didn't tell anybody else about it.
It is obvious that you did not read what I posted. Take time to read and not have your onion formed and you will see. Therefore I will restate it again. This is not about Pastors who have a agenda besides discipline the people, teaching them to walk in the ways of Jesus. However you seem to want to keep throwing things up that are not about that, so what is your main agenda I would ask?

Why lie...why not teach the bible instead.... we are never told to completely subject to men that call themselves "pastors"
yes truth is truth.. all people need to learn from word of God
Pastor is also human.. He is need to learn .
This young man is 26y old.. he is aimed on pastors.. in my early ministry days i did only gospel,.., i went to preach to ministers after planting some churches, after learning some truth..
but our work must be fair
Pastor, elder, deacon, believers all are with same call to live in truth to walk in truth .. which is word of God.. John 17:17

I am always open to learn, and thank you everyone for taking out time and post replies..
So finally what I have concluded is Pastors are from God according to Jerem. ( real pastors)
We should obey them as they come in the name of God.
We should not follow them blindly, let's use the bible and holy spirit..
Obeying doesn't mean being ruled or anything, it comes from respect and love. My pastor even respects me and my opinions and so do I. Everything works perfect when we are in Christ..
Though there are many cases on the pastors throughout the world I believe there are certainly a higher number of devoted ones, they must be respected.
You talk about india.. We must understand how difficult it can be for a pastor, we need to understand how hard it is to have a prayer meeting in some places in our country, in some Maoist militant affected area it's like a nightmare..
It's our responsibility to support the men of God..
I don't think there's a room for argument in this.. If you are saved then you have to preach too, we all are preachers, the same what we do to others sometimes come to us.. I being a youth leader always try to support everyone even to those who are very annoying..
May God bless everyone.. let everything what we do be done in love.. Amen

TO GOD OF TRUTH AND LOVE ALL BE THE GLORY

Proverbs: 30. 2. Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

I thought I made it clear. I'm sorry. My agenda is God's word as it is written, not mans twisted version of it. God's telling the pastors that devour 'Let My people go.

I did read it. You refer to the 'pastor'. Not biblical.

You are talking about pastors. Hebrews 13:17 has been twisted into a doctrine of demons.

KJV Obey them that have the rule over you. Submit yourselves unto them.

Only Christ has the rule over me, not any carnal man that has exalted himself above his brothers.

The word 'rule' is not in the Greek. So drop that.

Behold the Greek: Be persuaded by them them that guide you. Submit to their example and teaching.

You talk as though there is only one pastor in a fellowship. All elders are pastors. See: 1Peter 5 and Acts 20.

Sesrch your NT for a million years and you'll not find the single, salaried awesome pastor. Reverend means awesome. Only God is awesome, Psalms 111.

So who are you talking about when you say pastor? And, again, we are not called to obey a pastor/elder. If he is teaching the word correctly, which few do, we are to obey the word of God.

Mate why would you be seeking a sermon to preach about a Pastor? Ask the Holy Ghost for a message from Jesus, that's the only sermon you preach to Christians.

Hello brother.. There is a reason about it.. first is God lead me to that. Second is an incident took place in our city in one church.. and brother I think it's good to preach about every aspect of the bible and Christian life... its a simple thing which comes out of respect..
I am teacher and we teach the students about the importance of respecting the teachers parents elders.. We see in many churches it's lacking.. churches are important and that's why it got mentioned in the book of revelation even.. its the duty of the preachers like us to cover every topics for the development of people.. Some days back I gave a sermon on importance of respecting parents.
But yes Christ, holy spirit and bible always be in the center of my sermon.
