kind of off subject but

James 3:1

“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”
_____________________________

when i read this it can mean a few things....

the two most obvious to me

are

1. If you teach the word its because you know it well... and as a teacher who has recieved much wisdom from God
you will be held to a higher standard

OR

2. same but instead of a higher standard as in, needing to reach a higher level of what THEY DO

they will recieve a greater PUNISHMENT for failing after recieving these blessings (or teaching falsely, and casting stumbling blocks)

Paul speaks to this internal conflict in the present tense...Not doing what he says he will do, doing the things he states he will not do, considering himself wretched and the number 1 chief sinner among men (in the present tense)......the spirit born of God and the fallen flesh WAR one against the other in all born again believers.....regardless of those who deny it!
What does it mean to you that we sit down with Him in heavenly places Dcon?

~Eph 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah! He has blessed us in the Messiah with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm,

~
Eph 1:18 Then, with the eyes of your hearts enlightened, you will know the confidence that is produced by God having called you, the rich glory that is his inheritance among the saints,

Eph 1:19 and the unlimited greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his mighty strength,

Eph 1:20 which he brought about in the Messiah when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realm.

Eph 1:21 He is far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion, and every name that can be named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Eph 1:22 God has put everything under the Messiah's feet and has made him the head of everything for the good of the church,

Eph 1:23
which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills everything in every way.

Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love for us

Eph 2:5 even when we were dead because of our offenses, made us alive together with the Messiah (by grace you have been saved),

Eph 2:6 raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavenly realm in the Messiah Jesus,

Eph 2:7 so that in the coming ages he might display the limitless riches of his grace that comes to us through his kindness in the Messiah Jesus.

Eph 2:8 For by such grace you have been saved through faith. This does not come from you; it is the gift of God

Eph 2:9 and not the result of actions, to put a stop to all boasting.

Eph 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.

I bolded Eph 2: 8, and 9 for the thread, not for you Dcon. I know you already have this down pat. :)

We have an inheritance which is the New Covenant. The Kingdom of God within, which we live out of by Holy Spirit power, and out of the His victory over the world spirit, our own flesh, and the devil.

Sitting down with Him in heavenly realms. Far above this world. :)

We need dunamis power that He sent at Pentecost. Passover- the blood of His Cross. Pentecost- the power to live. Tabernacles- the glory filling the body or the temple of God. From the Head to the feet. Moving in unity when we live full of oil.

Now we have a holy hush.

Scripture please...
~Zep 1:7 Remain silent in the presence of the Lord GOD, because the Day of the LORD approaches, and because the LORD has prepared a sacrifice for those whom he has invited to be consecrated.

Silent in Hebrew is hush. Holy Hush is just a coined word.

I agree with the scriptures you posted and at the same time will NOT overlook and or deny the verses that speak to the points that Paul made concerning the internal conflict that takes place....NO ONE walks faithfully 24/7/365 and WE ALL have personal struggles and or sins that rise up sometimes and cause us to fail or stumble....it is these areas that keep us from exalting ourselves without measure......For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please

and yes I know the rest...

do your homework!

cee is a 'flitter' stirrer, sent here by the 'big-boys-club', he is so very shameful,
that only certain words that we will not utter describe him...
We really think we can get by with judging like this? Fear of the Lord is missing.

Sounds very new age.
I wonder how much out of context that verse is being used.

It's number one.
There's a verse for this . No Bible right now.

lol...so do I.

~Isa 61:10
"I will heartily rejoice in the LORD, my soul will delight in my God; for he has wrapped me in garments of salvation; he has arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, just like a bridegroom, like a priest with a garland, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Jer 51:10

The LORD has brought our righteousness to light; come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.

It's all His work from beginning to end. But, we can with Him and in Him declare that we are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That is all I am saying.

This is my favorite..

~
Rom 14:16  Let not then your good be evil spoken of;

Rom 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The kingdom of God is within. He wants us to identify with Him. This is how the apostles turned the world upside down.

But, this must be revealed to us. It was hard for me to see too for a time.

Please, that scares me.
Not Marines, but me being thought of as being one.
I spent 4 years in the Navy, but was stationed in Hawaii for 3 years with Marines. The kind of Marines that you want on your side in a bad situation. ;)

2 Peter 2:20

“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
