im not far off that
Bill, it was cute when you used to steady yourself against the coffee table as you filled your diaper with that unfocused, distant look on your face and your family laughed, but enough is enough. It's not cute anymore.

Well I just saw something odd...

Some men do not believe there is any way that subsequent unbelief can make you be cut off. They think those who do believe it to be very arrogant.

Other men do believe they've been warned that subsequent unbelief is to be guarded against through examination because Israel was cut off for it, and they also think the first group of men is very arrogant...

So maybe having the belief or not having the belief is not the problem. Maybe arrogance is the problem...
And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. Romans 11:23 This seems to refute the idea that if you fall away you cannot be restored.

Some men say the prize is to go and be with their Lord.

Others say no one one really knows because the prizes are unspecified.

Others say the prizes are different hats or crowns to wear.

Well it cant b going to be with our lord, that is a gft, so saying that would be dangerous!

My thought was to change from mortal to immortal. Sort of an Enoch thing.

I lived in Canada for a time. Everything was expensive compared to the States. Sales tax was ridiculous. Fuel was high. People paid too many loonies and toonies for everything.

They told me healthcare was free. Uh-huh. That wasn't free, believe me, they are paying for it everywhere.

KFC never heard of mashed taters, so I was like what in the world is the gravy for, after searching for them. Then someone said "for the fries." Uh?

I mean, eh?

Went to taco bell, ordered a couple tacos, and got home and it had a bag of fries in it...lolzzzzz.

Tim Horton's coffee was good though.

In context, the Jews that get grafted back in are later generations of believing Jews, not the ones who died in their unbelief. Paul uses himself to prove the point.

The entire OT seems to suggest it too!
It's a neverending story of Israel falling away and coming back, falling away and coming back.

isreal was shown such great grace, generations went living in sin before god chastened them,

that does not show falling away and being restored, it showed eternal life, (god chasten those who are his)

As long as He's still in you, by way of your trusting/believing, doing that work.
Can we give Him the boot? He says not :) Praise God! Hey, well, that is where the contention seems to be. Some say if you have really been brought to a state of repentance and belief, and laid down your opposition to God born of the flesh in Adam, then you are born again of the Spirit according to the second Adam, and this cannot be lost. Others say it can be while others contend that some may act the part but are not really saved to begin with. God knows who are His. Like Jesus knew from the beginning that Judas was doomed to destruction. He followed and was sent out but was not clean. He did not believe.

romans 11 is talking about a nation (Israel) being restored, not a person who lost salvation being restored.

It doesn't feel dangerous to me. :)
It's a comfort to me to know all I have to do is believe and trust until the end.
1. It is dangerous, because your working to earn salvation, which is a false gospel,
2. Thats should scare you to no end, it shows your trusting in your ability to be saved, not the promise oF God t save you,

we have comfort in God, not in our ability.

Here, put these OSAS glasses on and it'll make perfect sense.

Hey we agree, those would make a lot more sense than using non OSAS glasses! Which would make everything blurry
