That is not the question. The real question is when was the law abolished?? The law remains but Jesus took upon himself our sins (transgression of the law). Without the law there is no sin since sin is the transgression of the law. How do you transgress something that doesn't exist.

The Fulfillment of the Law

Released From the Law, Bound to Christ

But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
The Law and Sin
7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 9 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
I never just look at a single verse or just a few verses. I put them in context. Here is the whole chapter. Those verses are easier to understand that way. Verse 12 sets the stage about how people will be judged. As Christians we have the law as written in the Torah. Therefore we have no excuse. Transgressing that law is sin. Without Christ we are doomed. The one and only sin that will not be forgiven is rejecting the sacrifice of Jesus. Rejecting him leaves a person to be judged by the law of God. Everyone fails that judgment. It doesn't matter if they know the law or not. They know they have done wrong things in their own minds. God knows their thoughts and hearts.

God’s Righteous Judgment
1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the richesof his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

The Jews and the Law

If i had a dime from everyone who fails to acknowledge the following truth I would have several hundred more dollars....
Jesus was born, lived and died under the LAW which RATIFIED the NEW COVENANT.....
The words if Jesus MUST be viewed under this truth or scripture will be misapplied.....as it is by many!

Simple answer is God and is found in the Torah. I said as much!! You seem to not want to hear. If you have a Bible then you have the law in the Torah aka Pentatauch aka Genesis through Deuteronomy.
Is that plain enough for you. Jesus said all of the law will stand forever. Live with it!!! Quit wiggling around trying to ignore it. Sin is violating the law contained in those books.

Well, if you live by law, you will remain in sin. There has to be a change in order for us to enter the kingdom of heaven. Otherwise we will go to hell because no one can live the law perfectly. We are mortal. The law is greater than our mortality, because it's perfect. That being the commandments of God who wrote them in stone.

Sounds to me like we have something greater than the law.

The blood of Jesus. Living yet on the mercy seat before Father. Always interceding for us while we yet are here. Speaking a greater cry than that of Abel.
What would be the cry of Abel? Would his blood not speak, justice? What does the living blood of Jesus speak? The answer to this question has a result of lifting condemnation from all mankind. If they hear it, and receive it.

What to you does this mean?
Not only that, but a person who puts them self under the law, will fail under the law, will die under the law, be judged under the law, and have all counts held against them, for breaking one is as breaking all, and will so be be fully condemned under the law. Not one jot or tittle shall be removed for them!
These scriptures end with the answer that the law cannot save a person. If you carefully read these scriptures, you will see that to live under the law, you are doomed. Apart from the law, you are doomed.
The covenant that joins one to the chosen of God is circumcision. To Circumcise flesh. An infant male at 8 days joined that child to Israel, Even a strangers child who wants to join. Flesh is cut off. Producing a new man. A child of Abraham whose destiny would, eternal destiny would be the bosom of Abraham. Not heaven.
We too are circumcised. Flesh cut off producing a new man. A son of God. Destination heaven, for we are no longer of Abraham, but of God Himself.
Israel was chosen to be the picture of men who are mortal, to be rescued from mortality that came from Adam, and placed in another Adam, Jesus. Yeshua, Saviour. Salvation. All that Yeshua means in the Hebrew language.
Will we believe what and who we are? For faith has substance in the heavenly realms and God will respond towards man when He sees it in men.
I stand by what Jesus and Paul said. The law is eternal and it is how we know what sin is. We all fail under the Mosaic Law and only the fact that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected paying the price for our sin allows those who believe on him to not pay the penalty for our sins. What makes that so wonderful is God knowing the end from the begining still chose creation of the heavens and earth.
I already gave a Scripture that said we were not under the law, but obviously you choose to remain oblivious to it, to your own detriment. Still, I will give it again: For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14 Before you can say it as so many falsely accuse, being under grace does not give a license to break the law.
He was speaking to Israel at the time. Fulfilling the prophets, living the Spirit of the law. After the ressurection He sends the power that was His while on earth to His people, and a new and Living way is begun. Seen in Acts....which book is continually being written today. And it's not by rules of commandments of earth. But, commands that come to His body, individually, yet a corporal body of mankind, from heaven.
We are under Grace.. under the Royal Law.. at liberty thanks to our Lord being Victorious.. we serve the King by obeying His instructions..
The problem we have is that there is confusion over the Old and New wine...
The Old wine does not save.. if you have yet to Believe and receive the Holy Spirit Baptism you are in unbelief and condemned..
GOD’s Law is part of the New Covenant. We the Creation needed to be changed.. born again of the Holy Spirit.. this is only by Grace through Faith in GOD’s Son... a gift from GOD.
Faith is increased when we do our duty and still count ourselves unworthy servants of the King.
