Has anyone ever noticed that those who teach law center on negative scriptures, and those of grace center on positive?

Key words "by the promises". We walk by the Word of God concerning who and what we are by the Cross and resurrection of Jesus. So separate from how He dealt with the nation of Israel. Now to all the world. He calls grace grace to us. Mercy from the blood of the Lamb on the mercy seat.

Paul, who was inspired and you are not, also wrote...

Therefore we Conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH without works (The law is indicated by the whole chapter)

The righteousness of Christ WITHOUT THE LAW is imputed by FAITH.

Therefore by the DEEDS OF THE LAW THERE SHALL BE NO FLESH JUSTIFIED IN HIS SIGHT FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN...

Have you yet noticed that most ignore your bound under the law drivel.......as a matter of fact the only people who listen are lawyers and Pharisees such as yourself.....

Good luck with the law which came by Moses and proves your guilt...I will take the grace and truth in Christ anyday over your lack of understanding.....
“Have you yet noticed that most ignore your bound under the law drivel.......as a matter of fact the only people who listen are lawyers and Pharisees such as yourself.....”

ONLY PROVES THAT YOU ARE AFTER THE PRAISE OF MEN RATHER THAN FROM AND FOR GOD.

John 5:41-44 “I do not accept praise from men, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?

John 12:43-50 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God. Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I KNOW THAT HIS COMMAND LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

2 John 1:6 And this is LOVE: that WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you WALK IN LOVE.

Romans 13:9-10 The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW.

Romans 3:19-20,30-31 Now we know that whatever the law says, IT SAYS TO THOSE WHO ARE UNDER THE LAW, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, NULLIFY the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, WE UPHOLD THE LAW.

Why are saying things that I did not address in my post????? No offense, but sometimes your responses are out there.
You misquoted scripture. If you take a phrase from the scripture and apply it to your own thought rather than what it is saying in context, it's the spirit of error. And you did just that.

If everything God does is everlasting, what ever happened to Noah's flood waters? Are they still covering the whole earth?

Interesting response! It seems to me, that Hebrews 10:26 is all about free will decisions. God will not interfere with peoples' free will. Please note any words in the subject scripture that have to do with free will such as "deliberate" or "intentional" or "on purpose!"

Hyper-grace proponents tend to completely IGNORE the fact that you ALWAYS have free will. But if it had not been for free will, Lucifer could (or would) have never rebelled, along with about 1/3 of all the angels! THAT is the primary reason that the doctrine of OSAS (once saved, always saved) is an extremely dangerous deception! It's like walking a tightrope without a safety net. One little slip, and splat ... your'e a goner!
I disagree, walking outside of OSAS is like walking on a tightrope. According to the law. One little slip, and splat, your done, and need resaved.

I suppose that depends on one's interpretation of Hebrews 10:26.

Are we talking about sins of the flesh and ones attitude? A believer can struggle to overcome such sins, if so is it wilfull, even seeing God for help and deliverance?

Or are we taking about those who have heard the word, the gospel and totally reject it. The sin of unbelief.

John 16:8-9
8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

The total rejection of Christ and forgiveness of sins on account of his name.

There is only one sin that cannot be forgiven. Total rejection Jesus and salvation given by faith in him.

To me there is a difference between someone who claims to have faith and sins.

One who struggles with sin (like addiction yet hates it) and one who does not give two hoots.
Being addicted is not willfully sinning.

In Hebrews 10:26, to "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is CONTINUOUS ACTION - A MATTER OF PRACTICE. Now we don't walk along our daily life and accidently fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a CONTINUOUS ACTION.

The unrighteous practice sin - (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21); not the righteous, who are born of God - (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9)

In verse 39, the author sets up the contrast that makes it clear to me that he was referring to unbelievers, not saved people: But WE are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of THOSE who believe to the saving of the soul. Those who draw back to perdition do not believe to the saving of the soul and those who believe to the saving of the soul do not draw back to perdition.

I did think it was a different scripture but even with this you are still interjecting your own thoughts. In both scriptures there is nothing said about being rejected by Jesus. In fact this is part of the chapter:

Heb 12:4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Heb 12:5 You have forgotten the encouragement that is addressed to you as sons: "My son, do not think lightly of the Lord's discipline or give up when you are corrected by him.

Heb 12:6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he punishes every son he accepts."

Heb 12:7 What you endure disciplines you: God is treating you as sons. Is there a son whom his father does not discipline?

Heb 12:15 See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up and causes you trouble, or many of you will become defiled.

Hebrews was written to Jews that had received Messiah. If you read the whole chapter with that thought in mind, you might get a different picture.

forgot to add this. To fail to obtain the grace of God means to not receive the help from Holy Spirit in some way for the need to resist temptation, or to seek the Lord for an answer to a problem, etc. Grace is the divine influence upon our heart. Or the empowerment of Holy Spirit in our life. To try to do things in our own strength would be one way to fail, but in this portion of the Word, it's about the struggle against sin and not to grow weary, or allow bitterness to fill ones heart.
